On May 30th, 2024, we hosted a slime social, where our seals made slime for stress balls and toys to be donated to hospitalized patients. It was held after school from 3:30 to 6:30, and we had a special visit from our lovely Division 35 West Lieutenant Governor, Isabella! Our seals had such a fun time engaging with others and making slime, a perfect way to destress after AP exams and before finals begin.

Key Club volunteers participated in guiding the marathon runners to the finish line. They held signs and pointed to the registration booths to complete the run. The volunteers cheered on the runners as they paced themselves to the finish line.
Rose Bowl Marathon Connie Sun, El MonteHello! My name is Karla Valle, I am the historian for Baldwin Park High School’s Key Club. We have not had any service events yet this month, but we have debuted On May 21st, 2024 the President and I set up a booth for the freshman orientation We had a few incoming freshmen and current students in our school who signed up and were interested in Key Club! It was a success! Talking to other people was fun; we had a wheel for whoever followed the club Instagram, and when it was spun the rewards were candy and stickers! It was quite silly It was the President and I’s first time in our new gymnasium which was an enjoyable experience for us. Talking to the 8th graders gave me nostalgia since I was in their shoes once. Next, we had our last club meeting to end the term with the previous board on May 28th, 2024. We met up during brunch in room 610 and introduced ourselves as the new board. It was fun since we all knew each other very well. I was a little nervous at first when I started to present my slide, but it was a good time together.

Goddard Dance Jakob Martinez, Glendora
Glendora Key Club recently lent a hand to the nearby Goddard Middle School, helping set up a memorable graduation dance! In partnering with the Goddard PTA, our members put up decorations and worked to ensure everything was in place for the evening. Through collaboration, we strive to support our local schools!
SPRINGING INTO SERVICE
On May 18th, 2024, the divisions D35E, D35W, and the Goldstone Kiwins collaborated on a joint May DCM! Divisions sold food at this picnic styled DCM like popcorn chicken, boba, and spam musubi! The DCM covered DLT reveal, bonding time, and a service event where attendees could start off the term by making hygiene kits! Overall, everyone had a fun time hanging out and we can’t wait to see you at OTC for the June DCM!
