RAPPER TAKURA TERRY THE RAPPER WHO SAYS I’M ALL IN Meet Terrence Takura
Kamuzonde better known as Takura Terry. He is a rapper now based in South Africa but was born in a town called Zvishavane in Zimbabwe, where his father worked as a radiographer at Zvishavane hospital. Takura recently released an album called ‘Folks’ currently available on many music platforms such as apples music, google play music, spotify and itunes. Takura began his musical career in Zimbabwe when

He realeased an Ep rproduced by Lawrence Heron carrying 6 songs. His latest album is called Folks carrying 8 songs. “I named it folks because of the stories I am telling, the music or the sound which is a genre of folk music and also because of my people
whom i call my folks”. The album is available on Spotify Deezer, Apple music, iTunes, Medianet e.t.c. The photoshoot was done 200 metres away from where he lives in Sandbai beach by Ilze Louw. Some of the photos are a photoshoot done in capetown for Hype clothing. “I also do part time modelling hence shooting with clothing brands. I manage myself and I recorded the album in my home studio. I must say i might have shifted from hip hop beacuse of the clientele that surrounds me, its a longway to try and get a gig doing hip hop whereas as a live band doing covers will be better. I have since fallen in love with folkpop indie type of music and i call my own IT'SFOLKPOPIT'SAFROITROCKS. Bands like the Lumineers inspire me with their sound. I am working on doing tours starting from next year,its a long way to go but i believe i can do it”.

Meet Faffa, all the way from Ghana.
She may probably be one of the most trending gospel musicians in Ghana. The influence she has built up since the start of her musical career and her involvement in humanitarian work is outstanding. Real name Faith Fafa Goba is a gospel musician from Ghana, she has become a household name and a big influence to many young African women. She is dubbed as an achiever, a fashionista, an inspiration as she was admitted at Koffi Annan International Peacekeeping and Training Centre in 2019. Activism attracts a lot of attention but the character defines a real activist. Faffa grew up in a Christian environment which eventually molded her into the singer she is
today. At an early age, she sang in school and at various functions. Her first album was titled ‘Father’s House’ released in 2011. This was her debut album, announcing her presence to the world. She went back into the studio and delivered another album in 2013 titled ‘Nobody but you’. Fans can enjoy three videos including an interview where she perfomed live which are available on youtube. Her music can be best described as very mature, natured and she has a beautifully controlled voice. The second album titled ‘Nobody but you’ was released in 2013 carrying the popular song ‘ You are’ She won an award at the National Gospel Music Awards 2017 (NGMA) for the best gospel hip hop

song of the year with the track ‘You make me wanna’. She stepped out of her comfort zone to deliver an award winning Gospel Hip Hop track.

The beautiful Tanaka Munyeny-
iwa is a 20 year old model from Harare, Zimbabwe. She is the former Miss Teen Zimbabwe 2016 and also a contestant at Miss Teen Continents. Other titles she held before are Miss Zimre Park & Miss Schools. Tanaka is a television presenter with ZBC and a first year student at University of Zimbabwe studying Bachelor of Science in Nutrition. She has a whole load of accolades to her name at 20 years old automatically making her a goal getter and high achiever. In 2016 she won Best Teen Model and Best Pageant Model at the Zimbabwe Models Awards. She has a bubbly character if we should add. “I've done runway as well at events like Friday Fashion Fete. Also looking forward to do more commercial modelling�.
She was an MC at Miss Pre-Teen Zimbabwe, UNICEF Green Innovations Hub, Phase 3, Green Jobs and many others. Did Television coverage for the past 3 years to date of Zimbabwe Independence Children's Party. Opening of Junior Parliament. What type of modelling do you do, and what made you chose that one. I've mainly done pageants, a bit of runway too. But I'm quite broad in modelling so I'm looking forward to focusing on runway and commercial modelling (photoshoots)
At 20 years old you have certainly achieved much, what challenges reoccur since you begun your carreers? Being a young girl and in quotes "with certain talents" people take advantage of that and using the term “exposure" for you to give a freebie at their events. When they become a success, I lose out, I incurred costs nobody covers. At my age, most people would rather carry cost on anything else but paying you. The same people will pay grown ups to provide the same services With time and guidance i have learnt to overcome.
Could you say the economic situation has made things difficult especially for models and the career in Zim, what are your thoughts there? I won’t reallyblame it on the economy. Yes, to an extent it contributes but even when the economy was better, in Zimbabwe it's not taken seriously when it comes to monetizing the modelling industry. A few, if not none can live off modelling, people just do it as side hustle now. Looking at some case studies, some who go to represent the country at Global stages find it hard to even get sponsorship for that
one event. So overally it may have nothing to do with the economy. I see you are in school, why Nutritionist, is it not a bit far from modelling and being a presenter. I grew up loving Mathematics. I also really loved Biology. So when I passed my O levels I thought of incoperating Chemistry and do MBC combination. But I am more passionate about Presenting and modelling. Are you in a relationship, what do you think about celebrity relationships, popularity and the perks that come with it? I am not in a relationship and never been. I believe that people do find love at different stages, time and in different ways, based on different beliefs as well. I personally just need extra time for self growth, discovery , enjoying my own company, then invest well in one later. Also praying about it. I believe celebrity status should have nothing to do with love. Love should just stay pure, authentic and a person choosing their other half of their choice without considering pressures from the outside. But let's not run away from the fact that when one becomes more popular, pressure does come and not everyone is there for the right reasons.
