Friday, December 14, 2007 EC & Me story as told to Malice Current mood: happy Category: Music I remember first seeing Egypt Central playing Over & Under while I was hanging out at Pieres with my sister. After the show, the singer was working the crowd, selling his cds. Seeing as I already had mine...as well as a shirt & the panties...I had to decline the offer to buy another one. But the look he gave me...my sister said, "That was some look you got from Mr. Dreads"...Wow, how gorgeous was he? Then I got to meet them at Jacque's place Grade A Tattoos. They are just the nicest guys you could ever meet. I noticed Joey's tattoo on the back of his hand (AEQUITAS) from the movie The Boondock Saints--and John has one, as well(VERITAS). This band is a true brotherhood, they've been through a lot of scrapes together, they joke around with each other and they're tight-both as musicians and as friends. They're fun to hang out with. They get along with my kids, who just adore them. They're a band worthy of hero worship. And, God Love Him, have you SEEN their singer John Falls?? The man leaves me speechless. I am eternally greatful to Jacque for inviting me to meet "Her guys". Of course I had to get a tattoo, something that screamed Egypt Central ...but also screamed ME, who I am and what the music means to me. My friends told me it was a dumb thing to do, having a band's name, or a band dude's name inked on your person is a really bad, bad , bad idea. I KNOW. I DID IT ANYWAY. and it was the wildest thing I have ever done. First I had them autograph my leg, I designed their logo with a lotus blossom. So they're each signing my leg, when it's John's turn to sign. After much deliberation, and a bit of rubbing (you know what's happening to me right now, don't you??) he's right on top of an erogenous zone, like he knows exactly what he's doing. Jeez, woman, the thoughts running through my head at that very moment... But we've become very good friends, they love spending time meeting their fans, they had a good time hanging out with my kids, they're good sports about taking lots of pictures. They're all incredibly talented,and it's been a privilege getting to know them as people, finding out they're more than just another pretty boy band. Their stage shows are mind blowing. I have seen them Five times, to date, and I can never get enough. So yes, this is, in fact, THE OFFICIAL I GOT IT BAD FOR EGYPT CENTRAL MYSPACE PAGE. And, You, my dear Freak a Licious are my Favorite EC FREAK. MY SPACE
