I hope the information in this publication encourages you to express an interest for your child and that we are able to welcome them to our quintessential campus in the near future.

A destination and a journey

A place of innovation, a seat of learning, a home away from home

For over 150 years, Malvern has been recognised as a school that embodies a classic English education. A rich heritage of academic excellence is woven into the fabric of our architecture, where ideas can reach new heights, as expansive and inspiring as the views.

Take a walk through the grounds and you can feel the vibrations of a noble past, following the footsteps of CS Lewis, Francis William Aston, Edward B Titchener, Baron MacLaurin of Knebworth, James Meade, and Professor Sir Chris Whitty. A new generation of Malvern alumni, who excelled in the classrooms and studios, on sports pitches and under the spotlight, have also paved the way to make Malvern a dynamic school where every pupil thrives.

But above all, Malvern is a home. A safe place where potential is uncovered, where ambitions are discovered, and childhood is enjoyed. Where pupils are encouraged, supported and nurtured. They have every opportunity to achieve – not just academically – so that they can transform their future and the lives of those around them.

A comprehensive learning experience

Promoting independence and self-belief

Starting in January 2025, Malvern College International pupils will have the opportunity to trascend the boundaries of their usual school and enjoy an education at Malvern College in the UK. Places are subject to pupils meeting the required standards for academic and English language comprehension. Full details will be provided on expression of interest.

Pupils can expect to be fully integrated as a valued member of our school community, taking part in everything that the full time pupil participates in. Daily life starts in the boarding house, which is designed to deliver a home from home experience with a full pastoral team on hand to support pupils as they familiarise themselves with their new routines. Timetables will be comprehensive and include academic subjects, co-curricular and super-curricular activities, which will empower and develop pupils’ self-confidence and international understanding.

Additional benefits include the opportunity to visit a site of national importance or of cultural interest during the integrated leave out weekend excursion. Locations could include London, Oxford and Cambridge, amongst others.

Growth and transformation

Building the self-confidence to step out boldly into the world

Malvern pupils develop confidence, adaptability and resilience. We prepare them as young adults who are equipped to make their mark, push boundaries and leave a lasting impression in life after school.

Through our academic, super-curricular and co-curricular programmes, we teach the importance of the human values enshrined in the ‘Malvern Qualities’. Pupils will enhance their learning in core academic subjects; have the chance to participate in visual and performing arts; experience the joy and camaraderie of living in a traditional independent school boarding house; join sports teams, practising and competing in leading field sports such as football, rugby and hockey; and navigate the great outdoors in a multitude of outdoor pursuits.

A curriculum for the modern world Core Academic Excellence +

Instilling a passion for life-long learning, perfected over generations.

We teach pupils a deep and rich academic curriculum, shaping their knowledge and fostering their curiosity. In addition to developing an academic awareness, to flourish in a rapidly changing world, young people need confidence, resilience and initiative. The foundation for developing these characteristics is a stimulating, varied and well-balanced school curriculum.

Boarding at Malvern College

Develop a global network

The provision of exceptional pastoral care and support is central to life at Malvern College. At the heart of this ethos is our unique House system, which visiting pupils will be integrated into.

Each boarding House is run by a Housemaster or Housemistress, known as a ‘Housem’, much like the boarding setup of other schools within the Malvern College Family. Together with an International Tutor, they will be the main point of contact for each pupil, providing academic and pastoral support as required.

Outside of lessons and supervised activity, pupils will enjoy the company of other boarders, socialising and eating together within the communal areas of the House. Meal times foster a warm, family atmosphere, where chatter and laughter flow across wooden dining tables, polished bright by generations of Malvernian friendships.
