2025 Residential Experiences

Welcome

It is with great pleasure that I extend a warm welcome to your children to stay and learn with us here in the UK through a range of residential experiences, all of which are designed to provide a taste of life at Malvern College for pupils studying at our other schools around the world.

Each experience offers a unique opportunity for pupils to take part in a short term residential placement here in the UK, where they will benefit from an immersive educational and personal development experience.

We hope that pupils will create lasting memories, acquire valuable skills and expand their knowledge, all of which will greatly benefit their future studies and equip them for life beyond Malvern.

I trust that the information in this brochure will inspire you to consider these opportunities and we look forward very much to welcoming pupils from across the Malvern College Family of Schools to join us here at Malvern College, UK.

A destination and a journey

A home away from home

For over 150 years, Malvern has been recognised as a school that embodies a classic liberal British education. We are proud of our rich heritage of educational excellence, and the echoes of Malvernians past and present can be felt throughout our historic campus, making Malvern a dynamic school where every pupil has the opportunity to thrive.

But above all, Malvern is a home. A safe place where potential is uncovered, where ambitions are discovered, and childhood is enjoyed. Where pupils are encouraged, supported and nurtured. They have every opportunity to achieve - not just academicallyso that they can transform their future and the lives of those around them.

Leavers Ball and Ceremony

Celebrating our graduating cohorts across the family of schools

Friday 4th July

Each year the graduating cohort from MCUK, together with their parents, attend the Leavers Ball, held at the College the evening after the end of the summer term. A formal Chapel service, including the “Headmaster’s Charge”, is followed by a 3-course dinner hosted by House Parents in Boarding Houses, and the Leavers Ball itself, which takes place on the Chapel Terrace. The Ball includes live music, a DJ, dancing, a bar and pizza and ends at around midnight. The Leavers Ball is usually attended by all our leavers, their parents and staff, and we expect over 500 people in attendance at the event this year. It is the social highlight of the year for our Upper 6th Form pupils and is a strictly black tie event.

We are delighted to be able to open up attendance at the Leavers Ball to Upper 6th Form graduates from MCI schools.

The price for attending the MCI Leavers Ball includes hotel accommodation, meals (including the Leavers Dinner), a tour of Malvern College, a private MCI Leavers Ceremony and Dinner, both led/hosted by the Headmaster, and attendance, with the MCUK graduates and their parents, at the Leavers Ball. Flights are not included in this price.
