Academic Teams

The Academic Teams at Malvern are constructed using an Academy model. Each grade level is led by a Faculty Academy Leader (FAL) and Student Academy Leader (SAL).

A Faculty Academy Leader’s first priority is to know, coach, and evaluate reporting Faculty members through our growth and development process. In partnership with the Student Academy Leader, Faculty Academy Leaders also guide their respective teams to create and influence gradewide experiences, and activate appropriate student support resources throughout the academic year. Because Faculty Academy Leaders are a part of a larger Academic Leadership Team, they also have the opportunity to influence school-wide policies and decisions. In short, this person becomes an important part of the academic engine at Malvern Prep.

The Student Academy Leader works in partnership with the Faculty Academy Leader and closely with their respective Academy Teams by providing proactive leadership to engage all stakeholders in the delivery of programs and services to support the students’ academic achievement, personal, and social development. This individual works cooperatively with their respective academy teams, counselors, students, and parents towards achieving a positive school climate - embracing Malvern’s mission and culture.
