Attendance Policy

As a school, one of our top priorities is the safety of the students, faculty, and staff in our care. A critical aspect of safety and security is being able to account for all individuals on our campus, especially in the case of an emergency.

Parents/guardians should utilize the attendance form on our website if you need to report your son absent or report a late arrival/early dismissal.

All early pick-ups and late arrivals happen at the Welcome Center.

Campus Closing vs. Virtual Days

The need to close campus may arise due to inclement weather, loss of power, or any number of reasons. The decision to close campus is always made with the safety of our students, faculty, and staff in mind.

The Malvern Community will be notified of the need to close campus via text message and email. At that time

9th & 10th Grades - CB - 11:50-12:25

11th & 12th Grade - CB/Lunch - 11:50 - 1:00

MS - Lunch - 11:50 - 12:20 (in Stewart Hall);

Community Block - 12:20 - 12:55 a decision will be communicated as to whether students should prepare for a virtual class day or a non-class day. Holding classes virtually allows our faculty and students to join classes from wherever they are, resulting in less missed class time.

In the event of a virtual class day, homeroom will begin at 8:35 a.m. Classes will end at 1:55 p.m., a result of shortened passing time and Community Block due to the online nature of the day. Students can log into MyMalvern to view their class schedule.
