AUTUMN
Hello October
We’re well and truly in
and whilst the
getting cooler, the temperature in the Lifestyle office is still cooking! I’m heading back to the UK this month for the Liverpool Lifestyle Awards and Liverpool Fashion Week but don’t worry, I’m only gone a couple of weeks. You can’t keep me away from the sunshine here!
I’ve just finished my first fitness bootcamp in Ayia Napa which I ran with my personal trainer, Papa Luckman. It was a huge success, and not as
exhausting as I anticipated. I shouldn’t have been surprised though as he has been training me intensively for the last three months.
If you missed out, don’t worry, we’re holding another one in April in Ayia napa which will include lots of lovely pampering as well. All the details are inside the magazine.
If you’re worried about the economy this autumn remember that the best things in life are free - love, laughter and your health, so keep reminding yourself of all the good things in
and
grateful
wonderful month

WHY EVERYONE NEEDS TO ADVERTISE
So many times when I approach businesses to help them grow,
I get the response that they’re either too busy so “don’t need to advertise” or too quiet and will advertise when things pick up.
If you’re busy you can’t be complacent and expect your customers to come back, you have to give them a reason to return. What if there’s a slump in the economy? Advertising brings you loyalty.
And if you’re quiet then you need to advertise to ensure you’re the first choice for customers to come to.
This is the thing about business. Consistent advertising ensures greater business success. End of. If it didn’t work you wouldn’t see repetition of adverts on the TV, radio and of course in magazines and newspapers.
Think advertising doesn’t work ? Tell that to McDonalds, Coca Cola and the endless brands that are etched in your mind as ones to choose.
Need new trainers?
You’re bound to choose a brand like Under Armour or Nike or Adidas rather than an unbranded one. Why? Because advertising has persuaded you that these are the brands to trust for quality and delivering what they’re supposed to. One-off adverts don’t work, people need reminding. Advertising gives your business brand loyalty and promotes a positive image, giving you greater exposure for you to target your customers. You may have a restaurant that isn’t busy. But you need to advertise regardless, for when your potential customer is looking for somewhere to go out for dinner, you’ll be the first choice they remember. Advertising makes sure that the consumer knows that when they are in need, your business will be there to help them. A continuous amount of
consumers visiting your business is the first step to increase your sales. The more consumers you have, the more business you will have. Advertising creates business now and in the future.
And advertising encourages repeat business, for once you have got your customers, they’re bound to come back if you’re providing a great service and product. Ultimately, advertising makes your company money – It works. Advertising attracts customers to your business and increases your sales. When consumers see strong and positive advertisements they are more willing to buy and ready to choose your business. Invest in advertising for your business and you will watch it grow and succeed.
Advertising is about creating the desire for your customers. Which is why people love Lifestyle!
Talk to me about a bespoke advertising package to help grow your business. I can make you famous.
How do you write an autobiography?
Decide which part of your life you want to start from and end...
(The childhood that shaped you? The start of a relationship that changed you? The trauma that moved you? The successes that empowered you? The job you walked away from to pursue your dream?)
Write a list of the essential themes and stories around this, the emotions you experienced and how they impacted your life. Focus on key turning points that will resonate
with your readers.
Write a brief
bullet list of events in chronological order.
Draft scenes from your life and describe them illustratively, such as meeting your best friend, giving birth, breaking a bone, listening to your favourite piece of music for the first time, waking up in a new country for the first time.
Piece them all together with emotion and humour.
What is the purpose of your autobiography?
To share your story? To inspire others? To fulfil a personal ambition?
How will it end?
By giving it to AmandamossPR to help you create it, publish it and promote it. Email amanda@ amandamosspr.uk

Lifestyle chats to artist and entrepreneur Ahmad Jaradat
The self taught artist paints from his studio based in his business, Floors & Walls in Paralimni and dreams of opening a gallery in Kapparis.
He came to Cyprus from Jordan in 1984 to study and settled here ever since.
He said, “I have always been interested in art, especially abstract. It started as a hobby and then my wife encouraged me to put them up for sale. I can never paint the same thing twice as everything is unique and I am starting to get
recognised. My paintings have been sold in Canada, Japan, the UK and Germany now.
His ideas for his beautiful, eye catching canvasses come to him from his emotions. He said, “Everyday experiences and my emotions inspire me to paint. For example when my wife told me she was pregnant I had the urge to pan her something, I wanted to give her something special. And when she gave birth I painted another canvass of us all together, Every time I feel something I get the urge to paint and my emotions are expressed in my paintings."
Recently a woman came in and commissioned a painting after separating from her
husband, She wanted to create something to make her feel desirable again and I painted her a heart. She loved it.”
“I love working with colour but I did make one painting in black which can go with anything. But I love colour, I am fascinated by colours, I think it is because I am a Leo."
Alongside his passion for art he sells flooring, custom made blinds and rungs at Floors and Walls which has been established for seven years. You can find Ahmad and buy his incredible paintings. They’re sure to touch a part of you.
Where is the best place to get hearing aids?
Hearing aids are an investment — get your money’s worth
Finally, no matter where you get your hearing aids from, they won’t be cheap. Hearing aids are an investment in clearer communication, human connectedness, improved health and happiness, and a better quality of life so it’s important you get your money’s worth.
Your hearing loss is unique — your hearing solution should be, too
Our hearing is complicated. It is also nuanced and unique to each individual — just like our sense of taste. (Why do some people love avocados or oysters while others hate them?) It only seems right, then, that the most effective solution to one’s hearing loss be nuanced, unique and slightly complicated, too.
Hearing aids — fit, programmed and supported by experienced hearing caring professionals — are the most dependable way to get a tailored solution that is just right for your unique needs. And rightly so especially today’s hearing aids. Smarter and more technically
advanced than ever before, the best hearing aids are able to do amazingly sophisticated things to help
Hearing care professionals are the difference between satisfaction and sitting in a drawer Only an experienced hearing professional has the skill and training to fit and program a hearing aid to your specific hearing and lifestyle needs. And as we wrote above, each person’s needs are unique.
There’s your hearing loss itself, which a hearing professional can specifically test and measure. What are your hearing thresholds? What frequencies do you struggle with? Are both ears affected? Is it the same loss in both?
Get your hearing aids from an experienced hearing care professional
As leaders in hearing healthcare for over 20 years, we’ve seen a lot. But one thing has remained consistent throughout the many innovations, scientific advancements and regulation changes of the past half century hearing aids fit and supported by skilled and caring hearing professionals produce the best and most satisfying results.

Want to be a writer? Author Dina Husseini can show you how
Tell us your background?
I graduated from the University of Nicosia with a BSc in Psychology. Then, I worked as a business management consultant for 9 years until I decided that writing made me happy as I write to escape my sorrows and troubles. Writing is more of a relief and an escape into wondrous worlds.
What made you want to be a writer? I'm still trying to answer that question, but I can say the will and the drive to create something better. To write a story where a person can resonate with and feel that they have been there and experienced that, also to write a story where the reader would throw the book at the wall for it being so good.
How many books have you written? What are they about? I've written 5 so far; the 5th one is a poetry book.
My Last Breath: Book One (My Last Book Series)
At sixteen years old, Davina lost her classmate which made her over sensitive and naïve, and she got herself in trouble with one of her teachers. Thinking all men were the same, Davina ignored the world around her, and isolated herself until she met Eddy, Taylor and Charlie and fell for all three. Which boy will steal her heart in the end, and will one past incident affect the safety of her family?
A Past Blast: Standalone
When a new drug hit the market, the world wasn’t prepared for what the consequences were. A handful of strong souls decided to fight for the entire world’s survival and destroy the threat. However, they weren’t expecting what fate would bestow upon them. Will the threat be dealt with? Or would the new drug take over and destroy everything?
August 4th: (Sad story about what happened to Beirut in 2020)
"This book goes out to BEIRUT, Lebanon and to
all the Lebanese around the world.
One Love.
One Life. One Lebanon.
United.
RIP to all who were killed in the blast."
August 4th is a heartwrenching book that chronicles emotions during the Beirut, Lebanon explosion on August 4, 2020. When a large amount of ammonium Nitrate stored at the port exploded, over 200 people lost their lives and over 6500 were injured. Billions of dollars in property damage left an estimated 300,000 people homeless.
Intense: (Romance that happened in one night) Love brings us together. Lies tear us apart.
Why lie when you can love for free?
Brad and Doxia met and it was insta-love, but will it last?

Well 12 months ago I did not expect
to be actually in Cyprus writing my own Fitness column after successfully completing my first Papa Luckman Bootcamp. It has taken a lot of hard work and creativity. You cannot just rock up and lead 4 challenging 2 hour sessions, over 2 days, at 4 different locations without meticulous planning. On the day of the races you need to be on top of your ‘A’ game, you need to quickly assess everyone’s ability, truly understand how each individual is feeling every step of the way and work hard to keep the similes beaming even when the going gets tough……This is in a nutshell is what I call the Papa Effect, you really do need to experience it!
None of this would have been achievable without the mentoring and promotion that Amamadamosspr and Lifestyle Magazine have given me. Papa would like to say a big thank you.
3, 2, 1, back in the room and reality bites. The highs and lows of being active are real and do not go away following an attendance at a Bootcamp, fitness class, gym session, run
or walk. Even more so now that we are entering the winter months, darker nights, and the cost of living is rising. Maintaining that momentum
through to 2023 is so important. This is where the mind-set of exercise really comes into
play, it is so easy to say ‘it’s nearly Christmas and I will start again in January 2023. If this is the only option for you then I would urge you to seriously consider the next Papa Luckman experience @Lifestyle Retreat in association with Amandamosspr.
It takes a matter of weeks to lose the performance gains you have made and before you know it will lose the motivation to start up again. If you do
manage to get back on the exercise horse after time out from your active routine, the next hurdle is the muscle pain you will go through to get back to where you were. This is a make or break point for a lot of people, it is unavoidable but the next session will not be so bad. If you know all this is coming, then you can plan your options to stay active. Reevaluate your goals for the next three months and choose something different to do. Consider the exercising at home option and doing short HIIT or strength based sessions (20-30mins), better still look at the option to work with a personal trainer to keep your focus and momentum. Always remember you have to enjoy your active lifestyle and accept that being active is not easy but remember the good times and what you have actually achieved already.
To help you with your journey through the winter months drop me a message or email for a free consultation.

LP – ‘ART COMES OUT OF LIFE’
It’s so promising to have international artists perform on our small island. This summer we have seen Rock classics such as The Scorpions, Manowar and Uriah Heap perform, and I am hopeful that this is opening the door to more bigger international acts descending upon us. Next on the events agenda is LP!
American singer/ songwriter Laura Pergolizzi or as we know her as LP, is performing at Zante Venue in Limassol on the 2nd of October as part of her current European tour. In fact, this is not her first time here, LP visited the island in June 2019 where I had the pleasure of ‘bumping’ into her and experiencing how warm and friendly she is.
Hailing from Long Island, New York with Italian roots, the artist relocated to the warmer climate of Los Angeles in the beginning of her career, where she felt there was more space, musical history, more opportunities for artists and....... good weather.
LP has written and released six albums and three Eps and has achieved great success in her song writing by penning songs for artists including Rihanna, Christina Aguilera, Rita Ora, Celine Dion, Cher and others. Her eclectic talent in her song writing is obvious in her creations for these artists of different genres and contributes to her being considered as one of the biggest influences on the current pop-rock scene.
In all likelihood, the signs for her success were all there - her background consists of musical theatre and opera, (her mother studied and sang Opera) and she grew up listening and being influenced by the greats such as Elvis, Joni Mitchell, Roy Orbison, The Doors, Rolling Stones, Jeff Buckley, The Beatles and later progressing to classic rock including Led Zeppelin. All these influences woke up her passionate cravings to sing and move away from the expected academic career that her family wanted her to follow. Her passion and determination were too great, and her talent led her to follow that path that she wanted to pursue.
LP’s road to success has not been an easy one. In 2014, Warner Records decided to drop her
after hearing three of her songs including Lost on You. Ironic as Lost on You is the song that rose LP to international fame in 2017 and is currently surpassing one billion streams! She believes that all her early unsuccess led her in the direction of song writing which gave her a free platform and allowed her to express herself through writing….95% of her songs are inspired by her experiences, whether good or bad.
Her upheaval gave her an enormous appreciation to what she has achieved in her career and uses her experiences to inspire and encourage others, not to give up on their dreams.
In addition to her lyric writing and singing, LP plays guitar, the ukulele (which she says gives a playful vibe to her songs) the harmonica and regularly incorporates the tambourine and her perfected whistling into her songs. Her music can be described as a mood cultivator touching your emotions with her unique and expressive big range level voice, with dreamy, lonely, and emotional tones.
The signature LP image, which is easily recognized, consists of her playful black curls,
and new songs from her latest album, Churches, which was released in 2021.
dark glasses which she sheepishly hides behind and her big mysterious smile…she may be petite in size but has a big and powerful voice and presence.
LP’s performance will feature her greatest hits

NOTES AND REFLECTIONS OF A WOMAN CREATING HER BEST LIFE
Stefania Bongiovanni
Do you feel stuck or does it seem that everything is falling apart? It may not be as bad as it seems... The Universe may be preparing you for something better, it may just mean that you need to make room for a new beginning... This is a huge topic to unfold and unfortunately we don’t have enough space now for addressing this subject, but I can give you some random insights and advice. I guess you will find the one that will answer your questions or will give you a cue for a deeper reflection.
∞ Stop complaining and appreciate how lucky you are every single day. Did you wake up this morning? Can you breathe? Did you sleep in a comfortable bed? Do you have a roof over your head? Do you have food on your plate? Are you in a happy relationship? Do you have a loving family? A good job (or at least a job to sustain you financially)?
Be grateful for everything you have. These are called abundances, and they will change your perspective on any challenge or obstacles you may be facing.
∞ Take some alone time, embrace staying with yourself, you may find the inspiration for reinventing yourself. Sometimes we need to take a break from everyone (also from the social networks, the news, etc.) to experience, appreciate and love ourselves. Let your inner self emerge. Let it shine. Let it be seen.
∞ Say goodbye to people that don’t bring positive energy into your life. This may be the reason why things are not going as you wish. But don’t blame them. Just take action and choose wisely who you want to share your energy with.
∞ “Whether you think you can or you think you can’t, you’re right.”(Henry
Ford). Take control of your thoughts, because whatever you grow in your garden will grow, either it’s good or bad.
∞ Always expect the best but when it doesn’t unfold the way you want it to, accept for what it is, and trust that it’s happening for you, not to you.
∞ This too shall pass. It may pass like a hurricane, but after rain comes sunshine, after challenge comes growth. Allow yourself to reborn stronger than before. And now, gorgeous, just go out there and start living your best life!
Who am I? I’m an Italian living in Cyprus and loving it crazily. My name is Stefania Bongiovanni, some of you will know me as the founder of The Girlfriends’ Circle, but as well as the woman who believes in #sisterhood and in #womensupportwomen.
Secure Corporate and Domestic Storage in Cyprus - Peter Morton Removals Ltd
Sixteen years ago the Morton Family relocated from Essex to Paphos, with four young children.
Soon after arriving Peter and Debbie started PMR Cyprus. At first it was only going to be a small man with a van service but they soon
saw a huge gap in the removals industry. This was something Peter had done when he first left school.
They employed their first couple of staff and started taking on the larger removals.
Within a short timespan customers were
asking them to ship their goods primarily back to the UK.
They looked in to the option of this and found it was another service they could offer. Leading on from this they found partners in the UK to start importing customers personal effects back to them in Cyprus.
From starting within their kitchen with a computer and just one van, they now boast 26 full time employees, 17 removal trucks and have a 7500 square meter storage facility incorporating the offices.
The storage facility holds over 700 storage crates starting from just 12 euros plus VAT per

This makes them the only company both sides of the water owned by the same people. This is totally unique and it also allows them to be in full control of your shipments. The office staff whilst miles apart are working together as if in the same office.
