Cali, August 5-11

This first generation is the result of a call with about 200 applications and a rigorous selection process, now we arrive in Cali with 61 musical leaders from the region who participated in the first school of music production in the Pacific. This initiative is committed to the new generation of young women and men who from the territory are creating sound narratives that tell the world about their talent, their region and the greatest of all their riches: their culture. The stories and songs of these artistic processes of Tumaco (Nariño), Guapi (Cauca), Timbiquí (Cauca) and Quibdó (Chocó) are the reflection and dream of their ancestry, the result of the determination of their youth and the hope of a region that summons us from their own voices and sounds.

Welcome/to the Pacific Master Camp 2022 and let’s continue #RaisingTheBar

In Manos Visibles we have worked for 12 years for the construction of racial and gender equity in Colombia through education, technology, empowerment and especially from the culture and new narratives. The 15,000 visible hands that are part of our network today speak of a transformative, committed, creative and talented leadership to change the benchmarks and imaginaries from and for their communities.

This school is possible thanks to The Warner Music Group / Blavatnik Family Foundation - Social Justice Fund and its commitment in Colombia to ethnic music and audiovisual power for the construction of equity from diversity, resilience and talent.

Dear participants:

Pacífico Master Beat is the first music production school in the colombian pacific. We build racial and gender equity through the power of sound. We are the next generation of artist making the music of the jungle and the waters. Our training cycle is based on the intervention model of the cultural strategy of Visible Hands: awareness, quality and impact. Through more than 40 specific topics, about 200 hours of training and a 26-week process, we strengthen not only the technical skills of the participants but their leadership and potential for transformation.
