SUMMER SCHOOL JUNE 22 – JULY 21, 2023
arburn Academy’s Summer School supports academic needs, helps students discover strengths, build confidence and prepare for the next school year. Delivered by Marburn trained teachers, all instruction is provided in small groups or 1:1 using evidence-based practices to reinforce and promote retention of information.
The best fit for our program are students who learn differently primarily due to ADHD or a specific learning disability in reading, writing and/or math. A diagnosis is not a requirement for enrollment and the admisison team will work with each family to determine if our program is the right fit.
Create a love of learning at Marburn’s Summer School!
Foundations of Reading
Students entering kindergarten and first grade
Foundations of Reading is for our youngest learners. The curriculum is based around one of the most critical foundational skills for reading, phonemic awareness. Step into the classroom and you will see play, movement, and multisensory activities as students learn and practice.
Rhyming, syllable division, and letter identification are examples of the skills taught during this four week program. Two Marburn-trained teachers provide instruction in a small group along with individualized attention and support.
