Unlock Potential at Marburn’s Summer School!
arburn’s Summer School program supports academic skills, helps students discover strengths, build confidence and perseverance and prepare for the next school year. Delivered by Marburn-trained teachers in an environment that celebrates learning differences, all instruction is provided in small groups or one-onone with faculty using evidence-based practices to reinforce and promote retention of information.
The best fit for the program are students who learn differently due to dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, or ADHD with average or above-average intelligence. A diagnosis is not a requirement for admission to Summer School, and the admission team will work with each family to determine if our program is the right fit.

What to Expect
Marburn’s Summer School is for students going into 1st through 6th grade. Our program supports elementary-aged learners across the academic areas of reading, writing, comprehension, and mathematics. Students engage with faculty one-on-one and in small groups to reinforce, practice, and explore essential academic skills in an environment that celebrates learning differences. Each day includes:
• Orton-Gillingham instruction to teach, reinforce and practice essential reading and spelling skills.
• Mathematics instruction provides grade-level reinforcement of critical concepts, conceptual understanding, procedural fluency, and application of skills with needed scaffolds and supports.
• Language Lab reinforces reading comprehension and written expression skills. Learn to organize ideas, pull-out critical elements of a text and express ideas in writing.

Days: Monday – Friday
Time: 8:15 a.m. – 12:15 p.m.
Fee: $2,425
An additional nonrefundable $50 application fee is required for all applications. Should your student require additional testing to inform goals, an additional $50 testing fee will be added to the cost of the program.

All students are required to go through our application process.
1. Contact our Summer School admission team at summerschool@marburnacademy.org or 614-433-0822 within the application window.
2. The team will set up a phone conversation to gather information about your child’s learning needs and request available documents (evaluations, IEPs, etc.).
3. Once all necessary information is received the team will determine if the summer program is a fit for your student’s educational needs.
Application Timeline*
January 24, 2025: Application window opens
February 7, 2025: Application window closes
February 19, 2025: Families notified of acceptance into program
February 28, 2025: Deposit due to hold spot in program
*After the February 7th deadline, applications will be considered on a rolling basis, depending on space availability.
