E-LEARNING REady from the Start
When the governor announced Illinois schools would be closed beginning March 16, we were ready with a comprehensive e-learning program that was developed the week before. How were we able to do this? Simple. Marian Catholic has been combining technology and learning since before it was cool. The transition to e-learning, although challenging, was about as seamless as you'd expect from the high school that continues to be the leader in innovation and student access.
ONLINE TUTORING FULL CLASS SchEDULE E-learning at Marian Catholic was as similar to a normal school day as possible. Our students were in school from 7:45 a.m. - 2:20 p.m. and attendance was taken in all seven of their class periods.
LIVE TEAcHING EVERY CLASS
We are always there for students who need extra help in the classroom and we didn't waiver during e-learning. Online tutoring was available to any student who was struggling academically. Our counseling staff was also available online to mentor students who were dealing with the stress and difficulty of coping with the way their lives changed due to the pandemic.
Teachers at Marian Catholic have always gone above and beyond the call of duty on a daily basis. Their dedication and commitment to our students was once again on display during e-learning. Every teacher gave live instruction to their students every class period.
