Careers & HE Support

Here at Hymers we have an outstanding careers service and we are proud to have been successfully assessed and accredited to hold the national Quality in Careers Standard.

This is a national award recognising our excellent careers, Higher Education and work experience programme.

Our careers plan aims to provide students with the knowledge, inspiration and ability to make informed decisions which will enable them to succeed in their chosen career path.

Our work experience programme is available to all students from Year 10 onwards with the majority of our students completing their placements in Year 11 and into the Sixth Form.

We work with local and national employers to provide a range of opportunities.

In addition, our careers department produce a regular newsletter for pupils and their parents. This will include information on any upcoming events, work experience opportunities, taster courses and apprenticeships.
