The IHF New Markets’ Project: USA
The USA is a current participant in the Independent Handball Federation’s New Markets’ Project, which aims to develop and promote handball in countries where it is considered to have significant potential for growth. The plan with the scheme in the USA is to raise public handball awareness ahead of the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games. This will be achieved using a variety of means, including residential programs with European teams, broadcast partnerships, and the USATH College and University Club Expansion Initiative.
