EVENTS:

This Halloween, Finley Farms South residents will not only be giving away candy, but we will be giving away diapers. And canned corn. And deodorant!

We are asking you to help us by bagging up some food and new personal hygiene products and putting them outside your door on Halloween and putting the enclosed flyer on your garage door or front door to let us know to pick it up on Halloween night! Finley Farms residents and young adults/teens from Evident Life Church in downtown Gilbert will be helping us with the collection for Open Arms on Halloween night between 6-9pm.

The HOA Board of Directors voted on a new budget for 2016 at the July 2015 Homeowners Meeting

There will be no increase in dues again for 2016. Our budget for new trees (not replacing lost trees or dead trees) was lessened in order to invest more money into our current wall repairs (See article in this issue). Common wall repair is our largest line item in the budget.

School is back in, please drive slowly and carefully through the neighborhood and look out for children.

Our free Fall BBQ in the Park is also coming up on November 7 from 11:00am to 1:00pm We will be having bounce houses, live DJ, brats and burgers as in past years. Come on out and bring the family for this annual event!

Our community garage sale will be 7:00am–1pm on Saturday, October 24. We will do all the advertising and you just have to put out your clutter and make money!

FINLEY FARMS FOOD DRIVE - HALLOWEEN NIGHT PUT THE ENCLOSED FLYER ON YOUR DOOR/GARAGE DOOR WHAT TO DONATE? – Please see the list on Facebook or on the back of the flyer. Items especially needed at this time include canned soup, canned beans, snack items, holiday food items, hygiene products (such as shampoo, soap, deodorant), tuna and cereal.

Open Arms is the only agency of its kind in the Town of Gilbert providing food and clothing to the homeless and less fortunate. Currently over 1,500 people per month are being assisted.

If you will not be home Halloween night, you can: 1.) Use the enclosed flyer. Write on the notice where we should find the donated items. Attach the notice to your front door or garage door where we can see it Halloween night.

2.) Drop items off at the collection point in the tot lot park off of Columbus, North of Warner Road, from 6:00pm to 9:00pm or…

3.) Drop off items in the collection point in the Sagebrush cul-de-sac South of Mesquite Road, one street east of Key Biscayne Drive.

BULK TRASH is picked up the week of the third Monday of the month. NOT the third week of the month.

People putting out bulk trash before the Saturday night prior will be fined.

CURRENT WALL REPAIR As you may have seen, we are currently having walls restuccoed and repaired/rebuilt/repainted along Warner Road and throughout the community. At the last Board meeting, the Board voted to accelerate the pace of repairs.

Residents should know that wall repair is the ONE MOST EXPENSIVE ITEM WE SPEND HOA DUES ON, besides the contribution we make to upkeep on the Finley Farms North Park on Mesquite, next to the elementary school.

SWINGSETS THAT APPEAR OVER THE WALL Due to precent problems over the height of swingsets on sale at Costco, etc. we would like you to know that large swingsets and storage buildings that can be seen from a neighbor’s property or common walls, or are over 6” over the wall, need approval of neighbors and the Board via architectural approval form.
