A WELCOME FROM THE PRODUCERS Welcome to West End & Friends here at the amazing Yeadon Town Hall. Having produced shows since 2013, Corporate Entertainment is delighted to be bringing West End & Friends to Leeds, packed with talent direct from the West End and Broadway! This is our second event here in the Town Hall, and whilst there may be (slightly) less gin in the theatre today, we know that the fantastic Town Hall Tavern is fully stocked and awaiting your visit, so do check It out. We are here this evening to raise money for Children with Cancer UK. Every single penny of profit from today’s event will go to this amazing charity, so thank you for supporting it: “Our mission is to improve survival rates and the quality of survival in young cancer patients, and to find ways to prevent cancer in the future. We fund ground-breaking research to help children with cancer. We raise awareness to inspire others to help. And we support families with our welfare projects.” We have called in every favour from friends and family alike to make this evening happen, and there a few thank-yous that we would like to make: Firstly, to you. Thank you for supporting this event, for supporting live music and for supporting such a wonderful charity. We wouldn’t be able to do today without the performers. The performers on our stage tonight are the finest in the business, and we cannot thank them enough for giving up their time and for travelling so far to perform for us in this great venue. There are several people behind the scenes who would never ask for thanks, but without whom tonight wouldn’t be possible. Firstly, to Jamie, Tom and the team here at Yeadon Town Hall. What you are doing here in the Town Hall should make you all very, very proud. Thanks also must go to the front of house team and chaperones who work tirelessly behind these scenes to make tonight happen. Catherine, Taz and Justine Moglia who have been our sounding-board for the last eight weeks: thank you for the advice and support - and of course the bed and breakfast. We would also like to thank Sophie Joelle for her support with marketing the event and Stu at Marmaduke Design for this amazing programme. Thanks must also go to William and Georgina. We hope to see you at our next Gin and Prosecco Festival here at the Town Hall on Saturday 6 June 2020 which will also feature our brand-new Tipsy Afternoon Tea on Sunday 7 June. And make sure you put next year’s West End and Friends in your diary! November 14 2020. You can find out more about Children with Cancer UK, what they do and how they are funded on the website www.childrenwithcancer.org.uk We hope by now that you’ve found your way to your seat, all thanks to our amazing stewards - Linda, Kara, Heather, Frank and Trevor. We are sure you will love this evenings show, and we are so excited that we have the fabulous Kerry Ellis live on stage singing all of her classics including Defying Gravity For now, sit back, relax and enjoy the show.
