The year 2020 was one we will not soon forget. In addition to political turmoil and a spotlight on the prevalence of racial injustice in our country, 2020 brought the COVID-19 pandemic to the MassArt campus, the country and the world. When the students of the Class of 2020 left campus for spring break in early March, we soon came to realize that was to be their last time on campus. In order to keep the community safe, MassArt had to pivot to remote learning for the remainder of the spring 2020 semester and seniors completed their final undergraduate semester from their homes.
Finishing their senior year from afar, the members of the Class of 2020 were unable to participate in the traditional end-of-year activities such as thesis shows senior screenings, portfolio nights and the fashion show. As an alternative to those in-person experiences, the Student Government Association (SGA) decided
to use some of their funds to produce a catalog that would provide seniors with an opportunity to showcase their work. Th
