THE BAD HABIT BREAKER/CERTIFIED HYPNOTIST

By Linda Allred

Are Your Limiting Beliefs Affecting Your Weight Loss Success?

21 to 28 days (which is on average how long it takes to form a new habit), and see what happens. What do you have to lose besides unhealthy pounds?

 Losing weight is fun  Losing weight is easy  It’s easy for me to eat smaller portions of sugar and carbs

This month’s article is focusing on having limiting beliefs around losing weight. See if you have any of these negative thought patterns renting space in your head:

 I love being a smart lady Nutrition Detective

 Losing weight is painful

 I am a success

 Losing weight is difficult

 It’s easy for me to maintain my weight loss

 Losing weight is hard

 I enjoy exercising my body every day

 I only put healthy food in my shopping cart  I only put healthy food in my mouth

 Losing weight is complicated  I always fail, why try again?  No one will love me if I am fat  I’m fat and I don’t like my body  I am a failure  I am a loser  Even if I lose weight, I always gain it back I’m not loveable in a fat body As you can see from this rather long list, there are many limiting beliefs that we all carry around with us and these thoughts are counter-productive to our establishing and maintaining a healthy relationship with food and our body. Instead of focusing on those negative statements, practice saying the new beliefs below instead for

 I enjoy drinking lots of water every day  I enjoy eating healthy, nutritious food every day  I am slim and trim  I am self-confidence  I am in control of my food choices  I accept responsibility for my food choices  Nothing tastes as good as slim feels  I am enough  I am proud of myself I walk thin, think thin, and act thin, because I AM a thin person all day long! Another easy, fun, and simple way to create positive energy/beliefs in your life is to form a new healthy habit of listening to Positive Affirmations CDs http://tinyurl.com/3xkpmnz. Research has proven that just by listening to a Positive Affirmations CDs repeatedly for 10 minutes a day (listen to them while driving to and from work or out shopping in your car), can easily change the negative programming that you have built up in your subconscious for years. How easy is that! I know some of you are doubtful that Positive Affirmations work, but let me tell you “The Law of Attraction” works! Like attracts like. What you focus on becomes your new reality. I’ve seen hundreds of my clients use this form of powerful reinforcement to quit smoking, lower their stress levels, learn to combat food cravings and more!

Traditions IN the Church Recently, I attended a church as a visitor. I was taken aback almost instantly. Other visitors took a seat only to have the ushers come and remove them. "You have to go sit somewhere else. Mrs. Mabel had been sitting in that seat for over forty years. That By Felicia Hull seat right there is for Mrs. Mabel." The visitors were somewhat perturbed, but they got dance ministries and even drums into their up and took a seat near the back of the worship services. The older people are church. They didn't feel particularly welcaught up and entranced by traditions' and comed and neither did I. refuse to allow the younger generations to Mrs. Mabel hadn't even arrived yet. The greatest hindrance in many of our churches is the old saying of, "...but we Never done it like that before!" Change is scary, but it is also necessary for growth. The younger generations are gravitating to the mega churches. This generation moves away for college and engages into more modern styles of worship. They rarely return to their home church for much more than the occasional holiday or home visit. I know of many churches today who are still attempting to incorporate praise teams,

She is the Assistant National Educator for Umoja Visions Products, and she is an instructor for the National Institute of Cosmetology for the National Beauty Culturist League.

1. Run up and down the stairs for 45-60 seconds. 2. Vacuum one large room (“maybe not fun – let’s call this “multi-tasking”). 3. Put on some loud music and dance for 5 minutes like no one is watching. 4. Interact with your kids (5-6 minutes) 5.Go get the mail, and take 5 fast laps around your house while you’re out there. 6.Park in the furthest space away from the door at the store. Pushing a full cart clear across the parking lot burns calories and provides resistance for a two-for-one mini-workout. 7. And you also can, park at the end of the driveway and unloading your car. The extra walking with heaving bags in your hands will be great exercise. You get bonus points if you have a steep or very long driveway. 8. If you’re unloading the groceries, before you put that gallon of milk in the fridge, use it to do 6-10 bicep curls per arm, and then hold it in front of you while you do a set of 8-12 squats or lunges. Repeat 2x. 9. Set the timer on the microwave and see how many jumping jacks you can complete in one minute. 10. Mowing your lawn is the best calorie burn workout

Love….By Terry Bams

A MALE’S VIEW Love is an emotion of strong affection and personal attachment. Love is also a virtue that personifies human kindness, compassion, and intimacy. Love by definition stands for “the unselfish loyal", and benevolent concern for the good of another." Love may also be described as kind actions towards one’s self or others based upon internal wholeness; being secure and fulfilled in self-identity. In today’s era of Money, Power, and Sex. — Many may confuse what making love is actually all about. Love started with God, to spread the best emotional feeling in the world. Love is Joy, Happiness and Gestures of the like. However, in the 21st century we relate making love to having sex. Making love can be compared to sex if God is the center of the Love making. God intended for every man and woman to Love, Marry and Reproduce. Love God first, then yourself. As a man, search for your life parent/helpmate. Marry her and “Make Love” with the Queen created to partner in your promise.

Deposit more strong seeds into the world Notice, there is no “Making Love” without God first. Sex was made for married people to show love in a form of spiritual action. Since love starts and ends with God, you must join unions as one flesh truly create the love you make with your partner. When you honestly think about sex and love, making love is the highest point of having sex. But as Trey Songz so clearly states, sex isn’t better than love. God is Love. So nothing will get better than him. Line up right with God first, Love, joining unions before thinking about making love, because without the true elements, you’re simply having sex!

I reside in Lafayette Louisiana; however, my passion to assist and help others keeps me in the air traveling from the East to the West sharing my Love and Passion for Life. I feel as thou I was placed here in this world to assist women and men in finding their true purpose in life by realizing that they are a true "Gift Within A Gift" and a Blessing to not only their family and friends but to themselves, as well. I love reading, writing (look out for my new book next year). But I soon realized that it was way more to a person than changing their outer look as it was to change the way they perceive themselves inwardly. As I would consult them, I always have key questions that I would ask and just like clockwork, I noticed that it’s not what you wear on the outside that matters but what you have on the inside that will out shine any new outfit on the outside. So as a consultant I actually got to know my client at each and every consultation. And once we got past where the hurt came from or the disappointment reared from, we would be able to move forward with astonishing results! We didn’t have much growing up with 6 siblings and a mother working extremely hard as a private nurse, so for me anytime I felt there was an opportunity to make money to help out the family, I would take advantage of it.

I would be lying if I said no. I’m a single mother of a pre-teen so sometimes I’m not able to do what the average business woman can do. Spotlighting Ms. Joe Cheray

oe is a single mom from Topeka, Kansas. I was delighted when she voiced an interest in sharing her personal experience in Cwm Volume 2. She is another inspirational woman who has found her voice. Joe shares…. My name is Joe Cheray, and I am, as my Twitter profile states, a single mom to a son with cerebral palsy. I live in the heartland of America in Topeka, Kansas. I also have four cats Sunshine, Gracie, Princess, and Dot.

At the age of 10 my grandfather who was physically abusing me, began sexually abusing me. Physical abuse included but was not limited to being whipped with a bullwhip, getting thrown around my room like a rag doll, and once I was beaten so badly, I almost urinated myself. Throw into that mix the emotional abuse. The sexual abuse started as fondling and moved into oral sex. He had already been physically abusing me. The main thing is, I have survived just about everything there is to survive in my life. I don’t have chapters, I have book it seems. What I have just told you in regards to my grandfather is just a sample of what I went through.

Spotlighting Mrs. LaTersa Blakely

ow this Powerhouse is a delight to know. She gives you a no holds barred look into her life. And what a victor she is. Her first book will be released later this year. Here, is some of what

LaTersa shares in CWM2… I must be honest and be real. I have been on food stamps a couple of times in my life, and no I'm not ashamed. I first was on them in college. I had my own apartment, and as a college student, you were allowed a certain amount. It helped me tremendously, and I got off them as soon as graduating from college and started working full time with the government. Then, back in 2006, when God blessed me with my first child, I was in graduate school at the time, so I too, like any other mother in school, I needed some help; I signed up for WIC, and Medicaid. Yes, I said it, Medicaid and Food Stamps. I'm not going to lie; it helped me out in ways beyond words.

Spotlighting Ms. Dana Neal "When God sends you angels", you just welcome them in. Ms. Dana has been just that to me and the many women and family she now assists. It’s my honor to have her share such a candid look into her journey. Ms. Dana writes in Cwm 2…. When I first applied for government assistance, they, the government, said I can only have $440 a month for my daughter and myself. Living at home was OK, but when I decided to move out the rent was $300, lights and gas where $100 and the option to get a phone was not there. At this time having a cell phone was a luxury people like me didn’t have. I was allotted enough in food stamps to have food in the house. I struggled every month trying to get diapers, or having pocket change to do the laundry. When I left my mother’s home I no longer had the convenience to get to the grocery store, so paying for a cab, well, I shopped at the corner stores. I learned quite quickly how to get what I needed; I did what the government asked.
