‘Ohana COMMUNITY
Honor a Hometown Hero The saying Maui No Ka Oi has never been truer than during the COVID-19 pandemic. This global pandemic has been unlike any other challenge we’ve experienced. And yet, through it all, the most incredible acts of love, compassion, and service, are happening all around us. People helping others despite their own personal struggles. Whether through donations, volunteer work, or just providing a shoulder to cry on or a helping hand, these are true heroes! A partnership with Maui Health and Pacific Media Group, Hometown Heroes honors those in our community who are doing what they can, whether big or small, to help provide some sense of normalcy, security, love, and protection during these very trying times.
You can nominate any Maui County resident, of any age. A winner is selected every week, wins a $50 gift card, and is announced each Friday on 99.9 KISS-FM. Visit mauihealth.org/hero to nominate a hero.
Go Clubbing MAUI COUNTRY CLUB // 48 NONOHE PL., PAIA The Maui Country Club has been a lifesaver for member families by providing not only year round junior tennis and golf; but also soccer, Kindermusik, PE, and monthly Kid’s Night – giving parents the opportunity for a date night for themselves. The Club’s wide open-air spaces provide all members the opportunity to enjoy the full facility with the current CDC guidelines in full compliance. They have added to their staff and offer great lunch daily and dinners twice a week. With the kids (and everyone else) at home since March, they just finished their busiest summer ever and are looking for ways to do more to create a safe place to meet others within the community. Learn more at mauicountryclub.org.
