CONCEPT MAYA SRIVASTAVA OUGD 303 - FINAL MAJOR PROJECT BRIEF 4 - ST MARTINS MEDICAL PRACTICE COLLABORATION WITH GEMMA BYRNE
Working collaboratively with Gemma Byrne, we initially worked on developing two different concepts to pitch for this live brief. We were successful with our pitches as one of our concepts was picked to be used for the branding of St Martins Medical Practice. This concept is based around the values of the practice - partnership, inclusivity, approachability and kindness.
The colour that we have used is Pantone 2957 U. We wanted a strong, bold colour that would work alongside the NHS blue, but nothing too similar in colour. It was also important that the logo works well in black and white as it will be photocopied for some internal documents. The typeface we have used for the logo is Gill Sans.

STATIONERY MAYA SRIVASTAVA OUGD 303 - FINAL MAJOR PROJECT BRIEF 4 - ST MARTINS MEDICAL PRACTICE COLLABORATION WITH GEMMA BYRNE
I worked on developing the stationery for the medical practice. This consisted of business cards, letterhead, compliments slips and appointment cards. I followed the NHS brand guidelines closely to ensure that everything is as accurate as possible. While the NHS guidelines are quite strict, this constraint made it more of a puzzle to solve to try and find the best way the St Martins branding worked, within the NHS requirements. 2/6
WELCOME BOOKLET MAYA SRIVASTAVA OUGD 303 - FINAL MAJOR PROJECT BRIEF 4 - ST MARTINS MEDICAL PRACTICE COLLABORATION WITH GEMMA BYRNE
I designed a sixteen page welcome booklet that would be available to patients inside the practice building, such as in the waiting room. This provides information about the practice, the doctors who work there, the opening hours, etc. This is designed in close accordance to the NHS guidelines, but has been adapted to best represent the St Martins identity as well. 3/6
COMMENTS/COMPLAINTS LEAFLET AND INTERIORS MAYA SRIVASTAVA OUGD 303 - FINAL MAJOR PROJECT
The comments/complaints leaflet has been based on the same design as the welcome booklet. This allows for continuity across the collateral available to the patients, helping the create a consistent and strong brand. This also adheres closely to the NHS guidelines, making it as viable as possible.
The interiors have also been designed to reflect the St Martins identity. The furnishings would be in Pantone 2957 U, the brand colour. This is a welcome injection of colour in a usually plain medical reception or waiting room. This colour is also bold, without being too over-powering, so makes the interior look much striking.

UNIFORMS AND ID CARDS MAYA SRIVASTAVA OUGD 303 - FINAL MAJOR PROJECT BRIEF 4 - ST MARTINS MEDICAL PRACTICE COLLABORATION WITH GEMMA BYRNE
For the staff uniforms I have been working on two different versions - one for the medical staff and the other for the admin staff. In accordance with the NHS guidelines, the medical tunic has the NHS logo on with the St Martins logotype, rather than the whole logo. The polo shirt for the admin staff, on the other hand simply has a small St Martins logo. This helps patients to identify staff members. Details on the clothes would be in the St Martins Pantone.
I have also designed some ID cards. These could serve a dual purpose of being staff cards, as well as worn on a lanyard or a clip to act as name badges. These are designed closely with the NHS guidelines.

OTHER DELIVERABLES FOR THE BRIEF WORKED ON BY GEMMA MAYA SRIVASTAVA OUGD 303 - FINAL MAJOR PROJECT
Gemma has been developing some other deliverables for St Martins Practice as well. These include interior signage, exterior signage, way-finding signage, and an app (to allow patients to book and check in for appointments).
