HAPPY NEW YEAR MAYFAIR ! yo yo yo it may be a new year , but we’re still here ! as the new year rolls in , i hope everyone has been making their new years resolutions and sticking strong to them . start now !!! one of my personal new years resolutions is to complete all my list of scholarship applications by march hahaha … we’ll see about that low key . if one of your resolutions are to be more active in key club , you’re in luck ! the term ISNT over ! we’ll have loads of events still here for you to come to and make so many more memories as the term ends . so come on out ! with the end of the term , comes conclave and election season!! for those who don’t know , conclave is where we elect the new lieutenant governors of region 8, so make sure to attend to see what the future of our region looks like ! as for club elections , i hope you under class men are interested in positions and going for it ! step out of your comfort zone, you may not know where it takes you

WHAT’S UP GREEN MONKEY!!! HOW YA DOING>>>

My name is Jameen Kaur, SPELLED exactly that way, no MEANIE, MINE, and whatnot. ANYWAY, on a more serious note, I currently serve as a member of the Events Committee. We’ve had quite an impactful month even after just coming back from break. I mean, HONESTLY, it didn’t even feel like you guys ever went on break, LOVE THAT DEDICATION GUYS. As always on top of everything, you guys did it again. PLEASE, the dog toy service event. I JUST can’t believe the creativity I saw. At this point, we should just start selling these creations. AND PLEASE DON'T BE SAD about our vision board social, there are plenty of other things to do next month. Anyways as the month comes to an end, I just can’t wait to see candidates try their best. PLEASE don’t be afraid, like I BEG you, that was me. I waited until the last minute to submit my interest form and application. Yet, I think it was my best decision yet. The environment is very welcoming and appealing. CLICHE, I KNOW, but it’s really what brought me here and outside of my comfort zone. I just can’t stress this enough. ANYWAY, I appreciate you all for your time and dedication. I’m looking forward to what a notable experience this next month will bring. I won’t talk anymore….

YELLOWWWWW green monkeys !!

My name is Sariah and I very proudly serve as your MKC secretary. This month was a bit crazy, coming back from Winter Break and the rain making us postpone some things, but it's also been pretty successful! For example, we got to do DCM with the D13S Ninjas and go to Panera for a NOM-worthy fundraiser. Out of all the events so far, I especially loved the Dog Toy Service Event! Watching 1/3 of our VPs, Elizabeth, tear a shirt with our KFF chair, Alyssa Kline, was funny. I had even more fun getting to pick color combinations and braid the shirts to make the toys with our lovely members (that's YOU)!!

I can't wait to swing into February with you all and I hope we all feel the ~love~ within the club as keep serving !!

For the month of january , it js been action packed with multiple service events and fundraisers for the club ! holding our panera fundraiser right now (january 31st, the day im writing this :0) as well as having dog toy making during lunch for two days , i'd say our club is serve-tastic! not only that, but many of us are preparing for elections ! whether it be on the division level or club level, we are all ready to step up and become great leaders.

Kiwanis Appreciation

FOr those who may not know, Victor Sanchez is the Mayfair key Club Kiwanis Advisor.

Mr. Don Howard is the bellflower Kiwanis relations chair who is always extremely helpful when planning events at the Bellflower Kiwanis Hall. Ms. Elsie and Ms. Acosta are the region 8 advisors. We are extremely grateful for all our kiwanis advisors for their assistance this term. We hope to work with them again soon!

D13N X D13S SERVATHON DCM

What is swinging Green Monkeys!! My name is Jackie Martinez and I joined Key Club this year. On January 21st, 2023, at the Kiwanis Hall, Division 13 North along with our sister division 13 South, collaborated to celebrate Januarys DCM. We started the event with an icebreaker in which we formed three different lines and each person in line did a dance move and tapped the person in front of them and they had to add a dance move and so forth. The icebreaker was a nice way of getting to know new people We also did three service events in which members got to choose if they wanted to make dog toys to donate to local dog shelters, handcrafted leis, or letters for people who are in the hospital. Overall, the event was a great time, especially meeting others from our sister division!

DOG TOY MAKING SERVICE

What's up Mayfair Key Club! My name is Anna Apac and I’m a general member. I recently attended the dog toy service event where we made dog toys out of old tees that would be later donated to local dog shelters. This event was a very nice experience, as we all gathered to put in time and effort which went into great use !

PANERA BREAD FUNDRAISER

On january 31st from 4-8pm, Mayfair Key CLub hosted a fundraiser at Panera Bread! The location was really peaceful and ambient so I was able to get a lot of work done and spend time with friends while eating some delicious food! Overall, I had a good time at Panera Bread and we managed to make a total of $XX
