Cuba Cuba is a country which has been receiving much deserved promotion in recent months, but the hype this enchanting and time warped country receives is well justified. From the cobbled streets of La Habana to the swaying palm trees on the white sandy beach of Varadero, Cuba has something for all types of holiday maker. With a heavy communist ruling party making it hard for independent travellers, those who do attempt to travel the country and witness the delights that this country has locked in will be well rewarded.

albania Often overlooked and mentioned with much negativity, Albania is Europe’s top secret destination. If visitors are able to ignore stigmas projected in the media and visit this small and developing country, they’re bound to have a holiday of a lifetime. From white sandy beaches rivalling those of neighbouring Greece, a developing and modern city of Tirana, to small and traditional towns such as Gijrokastra with its white washed streets and dramatic minarets. Along with being an ultimate location whether as a beach holiday or travelling around its mountainous land, Albania is an ultimate for those on a budget. Visit Albania April to October
MoroCCo This country on the northern tip of the African continent is a prime vision of the exotic. Containing a mixture of Arabian, Berber and European influences, visiting this African country leaves its visitors feeling as if they have just stepped into the Middle East. Most holiday makers choose a city break to Marrakech: exploring the walled medina, and witnessing the many snake charmers and performers who work in the busy Djemaa

An equally appealing alternative is Tangier, Essaouira or Agadir, each containing their own bustling medina, yet conveniently situated along the Moroccan coast. Wild CaMping
CaMping for kids
festival CaMping
A trend that is fast becoming the way to camp. The title pretty much sums up what this type of camping is all about. Camping in the wild - be that a field, in the mountains or on a farm. If you don’t fancy being completely at one with nature, there are many campsites that offer a wild experience but with the essential amenities to keep you feeling fresh!
Get your kids away from their tablet and phone screens this summer and embracing the great outdoors! There are plenty of summer camps across the UK for children to enjoy.
If you don’t mind spending a couple of days surrounded by tents like sardines in a tin, then why not give festival camping a go? Music festivals give you the best of both worlds, a chance to see your favourite bands with accommodation thrown in. Obviously a tent is required if you do plan to stay, but if that’s too much hassle the majority of festivals these days have a glamping option.
To find the perfect wild camping spot, check out Pitch Up a website dedicated to all types of camping, including caravan, motorhomes and campervan pitches to lodges, cabins and pods. www.pitchup.com

baRbecUe fiRst aid CheW sloWly! Proper choking (rather than just ‘a crumb going the wrong way’) is when someone can’t cough strongly, speak or breathe and their face may be turning red or blue. Th is can be a truly scary experience for victim and observer alike. If the person choking is aged one or older, lean them forward and using the palm of your hand strike their back between the shoulder blades fi ve times. If that doesn’t work, stand behind them and place one fist above their belly button, cup the fist with your other hand and push in and up toward the ribs fi ve times. Do not give water or anything else to someone who is coughing as this can only make it worse.

Among the bottles of beer and wine and everything else, make sure you add a couple of (plastic) bottles of still water. If you can keep it cool, so much the better - because as a fi rst aider, water is invaluable. Should anyone suffer a burn, get that water on it straight away. If you can then get the patient to a tap with running water (a garden hose tap is fi ne), then do so, and keep the burn under running water for at least ten minutes. Keep the burn cold for as long as possible, but don’t put an ice pack on major burns because ice can damage the skin and worsen the injury. First-degree burns produce redness, second-degree burns cause blisters and third-degree burns result in broken or blackened skin. For bad burns (no matter how large or small), it’ll be a trip to A&E. If you’re concerned and the patient is looking really ill, don’t hesitate - call 999 and let the paramedics take over.
Barbecuing on a sunny day? Rare, but it can happen in the UK. You won’t know you’re dehydrated until you are - dizziness, feeling hot and/or sick are often signs of dehydration, as well as sunstroke and heat stroke. To avoid dehydration at all, drink a soft drink in-between any alcoholic drink. If you don’t drink alcohol but it’s still a hot day, have time in the shade to reduce the risk of sun and heat stroke*. A damp towel around your neck can help reduce your temperature if start to feel unwell or suspect you might faint. If you’re looking after someone you suspect has sunstroke get them to a shaded room as soon as possible. Keep their skin moist and fan them - this will help cool them as the water evaporates. If you or the patient gets too hot you or they could be in danger so call the emergency services. If you need to take someone to hospital by car, get that air-con going asap!

How to sURvive a fiRst date
First dates can be a minefield, you want to make a good impression without looking too keen and scaring them off. Sometimes you wonder if it’s even worth the effort - there’s always next time, right? But you could miss out on meeting the one (or the one for now) if you always stay at home. So here are our top tips for surviving, and enjoying, a first date. Wear soMething CoMfortable.
don’t feel obliged to don’t expeCt theM go hoMe With theM (or you) to pay
Of course you want to look great, who doesn’t, but wearing a tight strapless dress to dinner at an Italian restaurant is not advisable (cue awkwardly adjusting your dress and attempting to hide a carb-induced food baby from your date).
Of course if you want to, then go for it. Only you know what you’re comfortable with. But if someone tries to force you to then they’re not worth your time.
And guys - trust me the person across the table will look at you strangely if you’re not used to wearing a tie and spend the evening trying to innocuously adjust it. Plus unless you are dining at a fancy restaurant a tie is a bit OTT, no?
aCtually talk You want to learn more about this person, right? Then save the cinema or a loud concert for further down the line. If eating a three-course meal without revealing you’re actually the clumsiest person ever then do something else. You want to be comfortable enough to talk freely.
If you’re meeting a complete stranger have some plans in place With Tinder and the like you may have never crossed paths with your date before. Catfishing and grooming by adults to other adults is scarily common so do think twice about where you meet someone completely new. A public meeting place and checking in with a friend/ family are good bets. Stay safe!
be yourself Everyone wants to put across their best self, but don’t compromise who you are to impress someone. Pretending to be really into sports or obscure Russian films will just backfire on you later on.
Mayhemmag Themayhemmagazine Mayhemmagazine.co.uk
If your date gallantly rejects your offer to pay for yourself then let them pick up the bill. It’s not antifeminist to let someone pay. But not even offering calls your priorities into question. In the same breath, be wary of someone that has conveniently ‘forgotten’ their wallet. It’s pretty bad manners and shows a lack of attention and preparation for the evening.
bailing is alloWed espeCially if they’re a CoMplete Weirdo If an hour into the evening you’re really not feeling it - it’s okay to excuse yourself. Just be a bit tactful and gracious. Let them save face. Even if they turn out to be the worlds biggest collector of envelopes (yes this is actually a thing) a quick excuse is better than a dramatic exit by running and screaming. Unless, of course, you also collect envelopes. Then you’re a perfect match.

The fi rst on the long-list of books is Fifty shades Darker: The movie Tie in edition. edition E.L. Th is action packed fantasy book is about a princess who must take on an evil fae in order to save her brothers soul. CJ Redwine would not disappoint the most sceptical of readers.

After making her first big screen appearance in Batman v superman: Dawn of Justice, Gal Gadot stars in her first standalone movie as the iconic superhero, wonder woman. Here Gal talks about playing the iconic character, juggling her career and motherhood, growing up in Israel, her role models and more.
“When you oWn it, you don’t need to shoW it so Much” so gal, what can you tell us about Wonder Woman’s first solo movie? In Batman v superman you get a glimpse of who Diana Prince is but not where she comes from. In the wonder woman movie this would be the first time we ever tell the coming of age story of the character, of how Diana becomes Wonder Woman. What you see is very different from Batman v superman. It’s funny because I went through the opposite process. Usually as an actress I get a role and start at the beginning, get involved with the character, it evolves and then we get to the end. Here, I’m starting at the end in Batman v superman. Now we’re going to travel 100 years back in time and tell this complex character story. In Batman v superman she is very experienced – super confident, a grown-up woman. But then, she’s more naïve, she’s pure, she’s this young idealist. She doesn’t understand the complexities of men and life. It’s a growing up story and it’s super interesting.
and spider-man but we don’t know anything about wonder woman. So it’s really exciting.
dC comic films are often accused of being dark compared to Marvel films. Will Wonder Woman follow that or be lighter? It carries a lot of funny moments but it’s a good drama story as well. Patty Jenkins, who directed monster, directed me for this and she’s the best director for this movie. She’s all about the heart of the story, all about the soul of the story. We all saw before the beautiful coming of age of Superman, Batman,
When Zack snyder offered you the role of Wonder Woman, did you know there would be her own movie plus various spin-offs including Batman v Superman and Justice League Parts 1 & 2? We didn’t talk at all about the commitment of it – but I’m happy about it. I’m all about commitment. I’m a Taurus, very loyal! I’ve worked with the Fast & Furious family for years I was happy I have this new amazing family to be with.
it will be interesting because it sounds like the opposite of how we saw her in Batman v Superman? In Batman v superman she’s been around, she’s super-confident. and although she’s not in that many scenes in Batman v Superman she’s so significant. she’s one of the most powerful characters? and to steal scenes with ben affleck is quite a feat. how was it working with him? Working with Ben was amazing, he’s such a professional, so talented. It was really fun to work with him and I also found it very interesting to be working with an actor who is also a director. There was added value. Just the way we play off each other is interesting.

PhOtO: CLAy enOs/ tM & (C) DC COMiCs
as a working mother, were you hesitant about accepting the role? you’d be away from home a lot. There is always hesitation. Being a mother really set my priorities, family comes first. I have the best husband to do what I do. When I was first thinking about getting pregnant I wasn’t sure how it was going to work with travelling. We lead a very hectic life. And my husband asked me, ‘when you have a child what kind of role model do you want to be? you are who you are, you love to work, you love to challenge yourself, you love what you do. are you going to give this all up just because…?’ And then he really made me understand that I want to set a good role model for my daughter. I want her to believe that she can achieve what she wants and that everything is possible. And it’s all about her. There are a lot of logistics, of course. You sleep less, you never sleep in, but it’s worth it. What kind of childhood did you have in israel?
22 | Summer 2016
A very happy childhood. I was a tomboy. I see little girls now who love nail polish, not me. I had bruises on my knees all the time, I used to play volleyball, basketball, tennis and dodgeball. I was a dancer all my life, too. So, I was always very active. I grew up in Rosh HaAyin, which is very close to Tel Aviv and still have so many friends that I grew up with, a group of seven of us and we grew up together and it’s great. There’s a perception of how woman are in the middle east but in tel aviv the women seem very strong, confident, independent, opinionated – is that the same in rosh haayin? In Tel Aviv it’s to the extreme because all of the coolest great minds go to the big cities. But it’s a general thing about Israeli women that they are feisty. They go to the army, they’re very confident. Israel is a melting pot. Everyone fled from World War II, they have this attitude that I personally really like.
Advertise with us 023 9229 4408
you said you were a tomboy. have you always been quite strong and opinionated? Yes, but not in a sassy way! When you own it, you don’t need to show it so much. It’s funny to say good things about myself, it can’t come across nice. But growing up I was very independent. I always felt strong. did being in the army give you good discipline for being an actress and helps especially with action roles like Wonder woman and Fast & Furious? Yes and no. Going to the army could not be further away from Hollywood and shooting a movie. What I did in the army was a very physical role. I was a combat trainer, I didn’t fight, I wasn’t on the field but I kept soldiers in shape. The only resemblance that I can find is the physicality, the intensity of the fact that both the training I did for the army and for wonder woman was very demanding. Intensive. What did you think of la when you first went? I didn’t like LA at all. It felt like everyone was in the industry. The waitress is an actress, the guy running the gas station is a producer. It was too much for me. But being there so often, at the end of the day, you find people who are like you. I made friends there and now I love it. Now I can find myself in LA. Would you move there permanently? I don’t think so. But spending more time there, yes.
“i think We’re in a very interesting era for WoMen…in all Walks of life” There has been a lot of talk about women in hollywood, gender disparity, salary issues… where do you stand on all this? I think we’re in a very interesting era for women in general, in all walks of life. But I still think we need more to be done. There is a lot of room for many more women to come into the industry, not just as actresses but as producers, writers, directors and people behind the scenes. There’s a lot of room for everyone. There’s a good momentum. For me, I’m very happy we’re bringing wonder woman back to life. There are so many amazing male superheroes, male role models, and they’re great, but there aren’t many female ones and I’m very happy that wonder woman is going to be one of them. And I hope that we’re going to start a trend here as well where we’ll have more and more strong female roles.
is it important for younger actresses like Jennifer lawrence to speak up, as they have done? Of course! Who were your role models growing up? My mum. I tell her so, often, to her face. She raised me and my sister in such a healthy way. Always to believe in ourselves, love ourselves, be confident, speak up if you needed to. I have one younger sister. I’m the only one in acting, the only crazy one! do you get to see much of your mum with your busy career? I speak to mum every day. no doubt hollywood can be overwhelming sometimes. is she the first person you talk to if it ever gets too much? My husband is best to talk to but both my parents are so excited about this journey. It feels very special. What was your first introduction to Wonder Woman? I was not a big comic fan. And also the Lynda Carter show was way before my time. But obviously after they cast me for this part I did my research and now I know all there is to know about wonder woman. did you take inspiration from lynda Carter’s Wonder Woman? I have a lot of respect for what Lynda did, but we’re bringing a different vision – Zack had a solid vision. Very different to the one played by Lynda. We’re going back to the original story. finally, you were in the comedies Date Night and Keeping Up With The Joneses. Was it fun doing comedy and would you like to do more? I’d love to do more comedy but my life right now is all about wonder woman. I have a lot on my plate. I’m going through a minor identity crisis! I love everything she stands for. She’s all about love, equality, truth, compassion and justice. For me it was important that people can relate to her… men, women, boys, girls… I didn’t want her to be polished, I wanted her to have an edge. I’ve been shooting for so long she’s becoming me and I’m becoming her.

We’re more surrounded by technology than ever, but what’s next? With smartphones and smartwatches now becoming commonplace, let’s look ahead to what might be the next big thing.
the ConneCted hoMe
travel and transport
The Internet of Th ings (or IoT, in the industry) is not a new idea, but one that is just starting to enter our homes. Everyday objects connected to each other digitally, automating and improving your lifestyle.
Driverless cars are just around the corner. In fact, most of the automated driving technology is done, it’s just getting the legalities sorted which is preventing us snoozing during our commute to work.
We can all dream about the fridge ordering a milk delivery when it notices supplies are running low! Or how about the living room light bulbs fl ashing a colour when your phone gets a text or starts ringing. Th ere are even digital bathroom scales sending data to your phone, enabling you to make nutrition and exercise choices.
But what about the lesser known benefi ts of driverless cars? Imagine being dropped off at your front door, before your car took itself to the garage for a service overnight.
If you own it, there is somebody thinking about how they can put a microchip in it. Perhaps when you’re reaching the last few pages of this magazine it will, via your smartphone, order you something else to read?
Marked parking bays may become a relic of the past, as once driverless cars are able to communicate with each other they will become self organising systems. Densely packing themselves into as little space as possible. As one’s owner approaches, the mass can rearrange itself automatically to release the car which is needed.
the final frontier And on the theme of travel, there are a number of private companies gearing up to sell ‘space tourists’ a fl ight out of Earth’s atmosphere and back. Just $250,000 will get you a seat on Richard Branson’s ‘Virgin Galactic’ fl ights. The system is still in development but given the current pace of technology, maybe it’s closer than you think.

While there are ways to save on food you’ll want to cater adequately for people who may have come a long way and spent a fair bit to share your day. Better to cut numbers or reconsider the venue than risk growling tummies. Alternatively make it clear your reception is a drinks and nibbles only affair so guests can eat beforehand.
Be prepared to let some things go. Do you really need a wedding car? It can also be fun to make invites, table decorations and favours yourself. Try Ikea or eBay for candles and other table decorations.
Call in favours
After being presented with a welcome glass of fizz and something for the toast, people generally understand the concept of a paying bar.
Call upon your friends and family for those skilled in hairdressing, cake making etc. Don’t be afraid to ask. Talented friends willing to give their time in place of a gift or for mates-rates can save a fortune.

fiRst time paRents Nothing beats the sheer joy and exhaustion of being a parent for the first time. Having a baby is often a shock in many (and some unexpected) ways. First tip - don’t panic! written by JaCCi gooding
the Wonder of the MoMent Enjoy it, because once home with your newborn, life will never be the same again. Time takes on a different meaning and for a while both day and night feel the same. Be prepared when you think it’s Monday and it turns out to be Thursday. And coupled with the sudden lack of sleep, should you have a moment to enjoy a simple cup of tea uninterrupted, it will feel like a two-week holiday in the Maldives. Share night feeds if you can; if mum is breastfeeding then dad should make sure he’s up in the morning making that tea or coffee. The first few days will pass in a blur.
baby Makes three Now there are three of you in the relationship it’ll take a little while for the dynamics of your expanded family to settle down. Give yourself a break as it may surprise you that you do actually know what you’re doing. Trust your instinct. Men and women parent differently - it’s in our DNA - and you may see a side of your partner you never knew existed. Be open to these changes; being a new parent is exhilarating. Often the steepest learning curve you’ll experience could be with your mother or your mother in law. Maybe they’ll offer advice, maybe they won’t offer any advice at all (very disconcerting!) but as a new mum or dad, you may have to find the courage to say “I’m The Mamma/Daddy now so back off lady!” Or you might not. As you and your partner find your way down the new and unexplored path of
30 | Summer 2016
parenting, little disagreements may arise; you may find that your MIL may side (unintentionally) with her son or daughter. These early weeks are fraught with emotion and hampered by lack of sleep, so if you can remember your manners and understand that any advice is usually offered with the best intention, you should sail through them unscathed.
spiCk and span? Not any more! Who’d have thought one tiny human would need so much stuff! Bottles, sterilisers, clothes, more clothes, even more clothes, nappies, blankets, toys, changing mat, wet wipes - the list goes on and on. And it’s expensive. You really don’t need half of what you’re told you do. When your little love grows out of their sleepsuit, cut the feet off the sleepsuit and get another few months wear out of it instead of buying a new one. Keep the baby paraphernalia to a minimum if at all possible. Good habits formed now will be worth it when little‘un starts to crawl and you have to move or hide everything! If you don’t have too much stuff to start with, the job will be much easier as they get older.
talk Talk to your partner, your baby, your doctor, yourself. Talking’s good. And if you have any worries you may find you’re not the only new parent who’s had those worries. Be confident and you’ll be fine.

detox befoRe yoU Retox written by laura Ward
Summer is upon us and if like us you’re worrying about looking great for your holidays, you’ve probably researched several detox’s to get yourself ready for a week fuelled retox. But don’t know which detox to choose? mayhem! Gives you the lowdown…

For those of you who aren’t aware of the term retox – it’s a length of time, whether it be all summer or just your holidays, in which you would binge on unhealthy food and drink following a period of detoxing. Some of the body’s main detoxification organs include the kidneys, skin, and liver. There are four different types of detoxing that are fruit and veg, the smoothie cleanse, juice cleanse, and sugar detox. Before explaining each of the four detox’s we go through the first few steps you take after choosing your detox plan. eliMination Before you start a detox program, you should prepare your body for the undergoing changes you’re about to make to your diet and exercise plan. This is so your body doesn’t go into shock or leave it with a lack of nutrients. The elimination stage involves cutting out all cigarettes, alcohol, refined sugars, and processed foods. If you have more time to detox before you retox or simply want to make some healthy choices, start this process by slowly cutting out all of the above from your diet.
exerCise Exercise is very important before and during a detox which can involve physical exercise such as running, outside sports or maybe even yoga. Choose a fitness program which is suitable for yourself as this is key to eliminating toxins by sweating and will also boost your metabolism. Exercise is also important as it helps reduce stress.
daily Cleanse Throughout your detox you can cleanse your body daily to also assist in getting rid of toxins. This will consist of eating plenty of fibre (brown rice, fresh fruit and veg), drink lots of water, sweating in a sauna can also help by eliminating waste through perspiration, and also dry brushing your skin to remove toxins through your pores, and most importantly – exercise!
fruit and veg/JuiCe detox Before starting a cleanse, identify the fruits and vegetables that will benefit your body the most. This can include pineapples,
Mayhemmag Themayhemmagazine Mayhemmagazine.co.uk
pomegranates, and blackberries as they can help kill intestinal parasites. With the fruit and veg detox you can choose to eat these as well as eating protein including chicken or fish or you can choose the fruit and veg juicing plan. This usually lasts between seven to 10 days and consists of drinking freshly blended fruit and veg. Since you will be drinking juice as opposed to eating solid foods, you may feel hungrier throughout the day. To help combat this, drink a variety of fruits and vegetables every two to three hours. Some benefits of this detox include increased energy, combat fatigue, and remove excess waste from the colon.
sMoothie Cleanse The smoothie cleanse is just a different form of liquid detox which again involves fruit and veg. Simply wash and prepare the ingredients, blend them in a blender and serve. With the smoothie cleanse you also have the option to snack on the unlimited crunchy fruits and vegetables. Whether it be apples, carrots, celery, and cucumbers. You can also enjoy hard-boiled eggs, salt-free nuts, and unsweetened peanut butter for extra protein.
sugar detox This type of detox is definitely harder than it sounds especially if your body is used to sugary foods and drinks. Ideally for 10 days you avoid any types of food that comes in a box, package or can or ones that simply have a label and to stick to foods that are whole and fresh. This also includes sugary drinks or sugar in hot drinks. If you tend to get sugar cravings try and go for fruit as this contains natural sugar. Which Detox diet will you choose?

You’ve managed to plan ahead and make yourself lunch instead of spending money on a meal deal in Tesco’s and you’ve even managed to pop a label with your name on it...only for someone to steal it. The cheek!

the last...
What ever you do, never mention to anyone that you’re going to make a tea. Don’t even mention the word. As soon as someone hears the word tea you’ve signed yourself up to making 10 teas, two coffees and one green tea. You’ve been warned.
All of a sudden you’ve gotta, you know, go! It’s a quick dash, avoiding all eye contact, through what seems like a million doors. A quick peak inside each cubicle before settling with the cleanest looking bowl. Then relief. Immediately followed by sheer panic and that weird bolt of lightning you get through your whole body when you realise something is terribly wrong. There’s no paper.

Everyone else mentioning their up and coming job opportunities and internships feels like a stab to the heart. I’m going to be unemployed and in debt for the rest of my life!
Do I even want to be in this industry? I mean, the lecturer told me I had “great potential” but then gave me a 2:2 for my essay? Maybe I should just quit while I’m… poor and in debt.

bake yoUR own bRead written by hannah van-der-linden
We are a nation of bread lovers, from the classic sandwich to the Italian focaccia stuffed with sundried tomatoes and mixed herbs. Nothing beats the aroma of freshly baked bread wafting under your nose when you walk into a bakery. It’s even better when that smell is coming from your own kitchen! You might think it’s a real art form to create the perfect loaf by hand, well think again! Why not give these recipes a go and impress your friends with your newly found baking skills. No machine required!
Method 1) Combine the flour, yeast and sundried tomatoes in a bowl. Add the warm water gradually and mix to make a dough.
sundried toMato loaf This is a simple recipe using sundried tomatoes for added flavour!
Ingredients • 500g bread flour • 7g sachet fast-action dried yeast • Jar of sundried tomatoes finely chopped • 1 tsp salt • 300ml warm water
40 | Summer 2016
2) Sprinkle some flour onto a work surface and start kneading the mixture. This can take a while so be patient, it’s a good arm workout! 3) Place the now kneaded dough into an oiled bowl - olive oil is fine to use and cover with food-wrap. The dough then needs to rise somewhere warm, so place in an airing cupboard, underneath a radiator or even next to an aga and leave for about hour.
4) Knead again and shape to fit a loaf tin. Leave for another hour. 5) Turn the oven on to 220c fan/200c gas. Place the dough into a lined loaf tin. Parchment paper is best or use butter. 6) Cook for 30 minutes. Place a knife in the middle to check if it’s cooked. There should be no sticky dough on the knife. Remove from the tin and tap the bottom. A cooked loaf should sound hollow. Once cool, cut a thick slice, spread a generous amount of butter and serve with a bowl of piping hot soup. Perfect comfort food for a wet and miserable day.

paul Weller 2017 marks the 40th anniversary of Paul Weller’s first album, in The city, which he released with The Jam in May 1977. For most artists such a landmark would be greeted with extensive retrospective celebrations: lavish reissues and all that jazz. But Paul Weller is not like most artists, instead releasing a new studio album, because releasing new albums is what Paul Weller does. Always moving forwards, almost clinically averse to nostalgia or checking his progress in the rear-view mirror. And so, continuing his never-ending creative peak, Paul Weller has released his 13th studio album, a Kind Revolution, featuring ten absolute classic modern Paul Weller songs. By “modern Paul Weller songs” we mean, instantly recognisable but in no way predictable. He doesn’t make a “kind of” album, he fits together all his influences - rock, R&B, soul, jazz, funk, folk…whatever and builds a song from them, delivering something that drifts through genres unselfconsciously and at ease.
hunter & the bear Formed in 2013 and already described as “the heroes British rock needs right now” by The Huffington Post, Hunter & the Bear’s combination of melodic sensibility with riff-laden tunes have been described as representing “the very best of guitar-driven music today” and “a long awaited resurgence of rock n roll”. Their debut album takes inspiration from the likes of Biffy Clyro, Muse and Royal Blood. Consistently on the road, the magnetic four-piece generate a “momentous buzz” wherever they tour, performing at increasingly larger venues and festivals throughout the UK, Europe and beyond.
