Studying with us

Our performing arts course allows you to specialise in three areas (Acting, Dance and Musical Theatre) and you will get the opportunity to build skills in your chosen area in our Christmas pantomime and end of year musical. You’ll rehearse in our large dance and drama studios and perform in our professional theatre, developing the confidence to succeed in the industry.

If you aspire to work backstage in a theatre or support performance events, then a career in Stage Management and Operations could be for you. You will also get the opportunity to manage our professional 156 seat theatre with automated lighting and full sound system.

Middlesbrough College has industry partnerships with showbiz professionals including actor and director Craig Conway. Craig has an incredibly impressive CV and has appeared in several stage plays, television series and films.

Performing Arts students will benefit from Craig’s acting masterclasses, audition workshops, confidence building sessions, classes in acting for film, producing short film masterclasses, professional feedback and more.
