College & TTE safeguarding and welfare services Middlesbrough College and TTE are committed to the safeguarding and welfare of all of our students. We have extensive safeguarding policies and procedures in place which aims to provide a safe and supportive environment for all learners who use our sites. Our designated Safeguarding Team are available to provide support to students, families and staff. All staff on our sites have had safeguarding training and are alert to the possibility of a student at risk to any safeguarding issues. If they recognise a concern, are told about a concern by a third party or if a student makes a disclosure to them, they have the duty and responsibility to make their concerns known to one of the designated Safeguarding Team.

Your role:

The College and TTE are part of the Operation Encompass Partnership. This initiative has been designed to provide early reporting of any domestic abuse incidents that occur outside of normal study hours and that might have had an impact on a student’s attendance.
