APRIL 16 -19 AT SEDGEFIELD COUNTRY CLUB

The ACC Women’s Golf Championship returns to familiar territory in 2025, as Sedgefield Country Club plays host to the prestigious event for the 12th time After last year’s competition at Porters Neck Country Club, the championship moves back to Greensboro, N C , where the historic Donald Ross-designed course will challenge the conference’s top golfers Last year’s champions, the Wake Forest Demon Deacons, will look to defend their title against a talented field of ACC competition.

Country Club golf professional staff is excited to begin the 2025 golf season. This year, we have additional playing opportunities to our membership and enhanced the traditional events The 2025 ntry Club Golf Handbooks have been completed and emailed to the membership Hard copies are he golf shop if you would like to pick one up the next time you visit the club. We will host the UNC mpionship from May 29th through June 1st, which is becoming one of the favorite times of the year s and staff at Raleigh Country Club Mark your calendar and make sure to come out to watch the the PGA Tour complete on our course!

After a long winter, we are all ready for spring weather This has always been one of my favorite times as a golfer due to the new golf equipment and merchandise becoming available We will have multiple fitting days from the major golf manufacturers and the ability to fit from our fitting resources in the golf shop. We will email the fitting day information and sign-ups before the fitting days. If you would prefer to get fit by one of the professional staff, please feel free to reach out and schedule a time at your convenience This spring, we will also be fully stocked with the latest clothing and accessories from the top clothing companies in the golf industry, such as Peter Millar, Holderness & Bourne, Johnnie-O, Stitch, Footjoy, and GFore in the golf shop.

OPERATION 36 GOLF ACADEMY

SPRING SEMESTER: WEDNESDAYS, MARCH 5 - APRIL 23

FALL SEMESTER: WEDNESDAYS, SEPTEMBER 3 - OCTOBER 29

*NO CLASS ON WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 8

TIME: 4:30 - 5:30PM

FEE: $400 PER SEMESTER

Operation 36 is the most effective program to teach our beginning golfers and established junior players who enjoy competition and personal game growth It is a clear blueprint for going from complete novice to par golfer The lessons are based on playing on the course immediately and moving up in divisions. Lastly, the technology they provide in the Operation 36 app is cutting-edge Each semester is an 8-week program with weekly classes for an hour and four 9-hole playing events.

JUNIOR GOLF SUMMER CAMPS

JUNE 17 - 19 | JULY 22 - 24

TIME: 9:00AM-12:00PM I AGES: 6-11

FEE: $195

OPTIONAL AFTERNOON ACTIVITIES & LUNCH: 12PM-3PM

We have developed the RCC Summer Junior Golf Camp for juniors interested in learning the game The Camp will teach juniors the fundamentals of the game. We will cover putting, chipping, pitching, bunker, full swing, and rules and demonstrate the importance of etiquette during on-course play days

Eligibility: Full Golf Members

Format: Two-person teams will play Captain's Choice Gross and Net prizes will be awarded

Eligibility: Male Members

Format: Individual Gross Match Play. Players must have a handicap index of 7 5 or lower Players will compete from the Burgundy tee markers

Men’s Match Play Net Championship

Date: Starts Saturday, April 5

Eligibility: Male Members

Entry Fee: $75 per player (includes prizes)

*Cart Fees Not Included

Format: Individual Net Match Play Players will compete from the blue tee markers Participants age 63 and older have the option of playing the white tee markers.

Spring Couples’ Golf

Date: Friday, April 4

Time: 5:00 pm Shotgun

Eligibility: Members

Entry Fee: $100 per couple (Includes dinner and prizes)

Format: 9 Hole Captain’s Choice Tournament with dinner following play

Ladies’ Spring Classic (Member-Member)

Date: Saturday, April 12

Time: 9:00am Shotgun

Eligibility: Female Members

Entry Fee: $100 per player (includes breakfast, luncheon, and prizes)

Format: Two-person teams will play Texas Scramble on the front nine and Best Ball on the back nine. Gross and Net prizes will be awarded

Jorge has been employed at Raleigh Country Club for nearly two years.
