ANOTEFROMHEATHER

I hope you are enjoying the beauties and wonders of spring As you might know, it is my favorite season The flowersandnewbabiesinthewildaretwoofmyfavoriteparts.

We all know diet and exercise are essential to good health and well-being but I would like to talk in little more in depth about types of exercise Yoga is a great way to increase bone density, reduce stress, and mentally recharge.Oneofthekeybenefitsofyogaisthatithelpstoimproveyourposture.Poorposturecanleadtofrail bones, but by practicing yoga regularly, you can help to align your spine and improve your posture Whether youarejuststartingwithyogaorhavebeenpracticingforyears, regularsessionscanhelptokeepyourbones healthyandstrong Furthermore, yogahelpstoincreaseyourflexibilityandrangeofmotion Thiscanalsohelp toreducetheriskoffracturesbymakingitlesslikelythatyouwillfallandhurtyourself

Now let's talk about Weight Training - No matter your age, it’s important to maintain strong muscles and bones. Not only do strong bones support your muscles and connective tissue, but they also help to protect your internal organs When you lift weights, your bones respond by growing stronger and denser This process, known as osteogenesis, helps to resist the natural loss of bone mass that occurs with aging Free weight training is a great way to build the muscles that support your bones. And as you probably know, strong muscles help to protect your bones from injuries So, if you want to keep your body healthy and strong, add some free weight training to your workout routine

I hope you have the best spring ever and let me know if I can help with your workouts or nutrition

All levels are encouraged to attend. This session will be comprised of sequencing simplistic poses that allow members to enjoy somemuch-neededtimeontheiryogamat Pleasebringamatandwaterbottle

Fitter Faster (with Heather): This class is held outdoors using equipment and body weight to challenge your entire body This total body workout is a great way to condition for other sports, increase stamina and endurance, stop cellular aging, build muscle strength, and promote weight loss. Chair Yoga (with Greg) : This class has been designed to assist people who are not fluid in getting up and down from a yoga mat The chair provides stability and safety Often such classes are dismissed as “easy” or only for people that have limited mobility options; however, individuals often enjoy a deeper stretch with the aid of the chair. Even with the aid of a chair, participants are still able to enjoy plenty hip openers, lower body stretches, and shoulder/back stretches. Balance poses are also part of the class. The chair aids individuals in keeping good form while providing a safety aid

Gentle Sunset Yoga (with Greg) : This yoga class will be comprised of poses that encompass deep stretches, twists, and balance. All levels are encouraged to attend Directions are given to help individuals reach their edge of strength, flexibility, or mindful movement Life can be stressful, but this class is oriented to allow people to enjoy their body, relax, and release all while enjoying the occasional laugh.
