Our I&O Journey. By delivering the Standards we are facilitating the Inner and Outer Journey. The Outer Journey is facilitated through the Logistics, Job and Living Standards and a journey we CAN make our EPs/Trainees go through. The Inner Journey is facilitated through the Development Standards and we CANNOT make our EPs/Trainees go through it because it is a personal journey. Our role is to provide the LEAD Spaces for the Inner Journey to take place.

LEAD Content. There are several LEAD-based touchpoints that we need to provide our EPs/Trainees:

IPS

LDS REALIZE

All the LEAD-based touchpoints MUST be aligned with the defining elements of the Leadership Development Qualities:

LEAD Environment. Now that you know what is LEAD, how it works and what type of contents we should deliver, we need to understand how to deliver it. In order to deliver the LEAD content there are 6 different environments we generally come across to ensure leadership development.

Environments:

Individual Discovery and Reflectiong. Self-reflection is the human capacity for introspection. By doing this we demonstrate our willingness to know ourselves more. Journaling. Journaling is an art that allows you to capture emotions as you go along any experience. This is a very effective method to reflect on your experience make yourself conscious about the whole experience and your growth Goal Setting. PDP can always be used to set proper expectations about an experience and the growth you want from it. As you go along, you analyze if your personal goals are being satisfied.

Team Experiences. Interaction with a group of people (min 3) with different skills and different tasks, who work together on a common project, service, or goal, with a meshing of functions and mutual support. Team building. Involves a variety of activities and discussions which work to create a climate that encourages and values the contributions' of team members. Team feedback. When done in the right way, feedback is the road to great performance. Members have to know what they are doing well and not so well. For them to really hear everyone’s suggestions on ways to improve, that feedback has to be delivered carefully and frequently.

Learning Circles. Learning Circle is a way to organize and honor the collective wisdom of a group, community or tribe. This is used to empower members using the collective wisdom in different societal contexts Hosted spaces. Here members go along a strong self reflection process while aiming to bring a collective realization about any given topic. The host of this spaces is not necessarily the leader of the group Working groups. Working groups are spaces where we use the collective knowledge of the group to develop, design or implement projects. The projects are directed by the purpose and vision of the team.

Conferences & Seminars. Conference is a gathering of people gathered to discuss, incept and design things for a common purpose. Seminar is a gathering of people in which experts share their knowledge through workshops and lectures.

AIESEC conferences allow delegates to understand the role of AIESEC in their community and interact with people from different background moving towards a same cause External events: Involving membership in external events will help to connect the purpose of their role in the society. This will enable a member to evolve a thought process. Trainings & role-playing provides a safe environment to encounter different scenarios for the first time, which builds confidence in team members that can help them in their day-to-day roles.

Mentoring. Element of learning environment which requires one-on-one approach to enable person’s development. Coaching: It is a process that encourages learning and development, and therefore, performance improves. We can distinguish between performance coaching and personal coaching. Mentoring: Long-term process in which one person helps another to make a meaningful transition of knowledge, work or thought. Shadowing: It refers to spending a day or more accompanying someone at your workplace to observe and learn about what a particular job consists of. One-to-one feedback: The ideal tool when you want to change someone's behavior or attitude, that is, negative feedback. In case you want to reinforce a behavior, Team Feedback is recommended.

Virtual Spaces. Webinar: An online event hosted and broadcasted to a select group of people via Internet. The meeting can be a presentation, discussion, demonstration or instructional session. Participants can view documents and applications shared audio allows for presentation and discussion.

Newsletter: Is a regularly distributed publication that is generally about one main topic of interest to its subscribers. Resources HUB/ blogs and Facebook Resource Hub is a unique gathering of documents, publications and other materials related to a common topic or issue. Can be used for self-education. Blog/ Facebook groups A type of websites, usually maintained by an individual with regular entries of commentary, descriptions of events, or other material such as graphics or video.
