Sahara Centre's "Embark on a Shopping Safari" campaign offered participants the opportunity to win Polaris buggy RZR4 Pros and a thrilling family safari in Africa. Shopping malls are often approached to provide spaces for fundraising, but the traditional setup using tables, banners, and cash collection methods posed challenges. This year, Majid Al Futtaim introduced a groundbreaking digital activation in Oman, enhancing the fundraising experience for both NGOs and donors during Ramadan.

To fulfill its social responsibility commitment, CCC (Cornish Commercial Center) established four stylish kiosks to support emerging businesses. The rigorous selection process, which involved candidates sharing their business aspirations, granted monthly complimentary booth space, resulting in thriving businesses that garnered visibility and sales. CCC celebrated and promoted these success stories on social media, reinforcing its dedication to fostering aspiring entrepreneurs.

On February 6, 2023, a powerful Mw 7.8 earthquake struck Turkey and Syria, affecting millions of lives and causing significant casualties. In response, Dalma Mall collaborated with Takkat Band to organize a charity event that attracted over 15, 000 participants from the UAE, raising a total of AED 100, 000 in cash support and AED 472,000 worth of food, clothing, shelter, and other supplies to aid those affected by the disaster.

LuckyOne Mall, a popular destination in Karachi, offers diverse amenities and strives to provide memorable experiences and family-friendly spaces. During Ramadan, the mall launched the 'Random Acts of Kindness' campaign, emphasizing unity, inclusivity, and the significance of shared moments, bonds, and simple acts of kindness that leave a meaningful impact on the community.

In #bealight campaign this year, the community came together to support 5,000 orphans in Bahrain through the Royal Humanitarian Foundation by visiting the mall and turning on a light, with each light representing a donation towards a child. This initiative aimed to bring positivity and unity to the community during the Holy month, and the display, designed by a local architect, elegantly conveyed the cause, with the goal of having 5,000 customers participate by turning on 5,000 lights.

The Galleria introduced a sustainability initiative in partnership with the Emirates Environmental Group, aiming to plant 3,000 trees and promote environmental responsibility. Guests were encouraged to support this effort by registering as tree sponsors at Guest Services, with the first 200 participants daily receiving a AED 100 gift card, ultimately leading to a carbon offset of approximately 72,000 kgs (72 tonnes) and a saving of 180 kilowatt hours of electricity, with tree planting scheduled for Q4.

This event promoted empathy, safety, and unity among families and friends, highlighting the importance of even small actions in brightening other children's lives, fostering a sense of generosity and kindness.

Egyptian local fashion designers have gained prominence in both Egyptian and international fashion scenes, with many leading European Fashion Weeks. In alignment with City Centre's goal of being a community connection hub, CC Almaza collaborated with the International Fashion School, Esmod, to introduce Egypt's first fashion scholarship for 30 students, covering all three Esmod fashion courses and an entrepreneurship course from Education for EmploymentEgypt, held at the Almaza Recruitment and Training Centre from August to September.

Recognizing an opportunity to support these SMEs and make a positive impact, the primary objective was to boost their revenue during the Ramadan season, thereby contributing to the economy. A secondary goal was to create opportunities for financially disadvantaged students who couldn't afford their academic fees.

During the FIFA World Cup, Kinan implemented a campaign across five of its malls – Roshan Mall, Al Jamea Plaza, Dana Mall, Huwailat Center, and Aliat Mall – by setting up viewing areas with 100-inch big-screen TVs and comfortable seating for fans to enjoy the games collectively. This campaign, which took place from November 20th to December 18th, involved an investment of over half a million SAR and featured soccer-themed events, contests, giveaways, and World Cup-themed decorations throughout all the malls, creating a vibrant and engaging atmosphere for visitors.

We had to build on our positive public image and create a great story around City Walk at that time of year. We created a PR campaign around a series of events over six weeks – Dubai Lights, musical live performances and more culminating in a grand finale that featured global dance sensations Quick Style. The campaign generated USD 1.03 Million worth of PR. It was all about the right publicity built around getting the right people at the right time to perform for our audiences.

Saudi National Day is observed on September 23rd in commemoration of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's renaming in 1932. Azad Properties celebrates this occasion annually in their properties, including Conrnich Commercial Center and Al Darrajah Traditional Souk, with the 2022 celebration being notably grander and more widely recognized.

To re-engage Emirati shoppers, Sahara Centre implemented a strategy that revived nostalgia among Emiratis and enticed them back. The Souq7 urban regeneration project implemented a multifaceted leasing strategy, including direct store rentals, leasing of customized blocks, and BOT construction plots to strategic partners, which led to the successful occupancy of over 70% of the 4,000+ stores since July 2020, despite challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. This ambitious project transformed a former slum into Saudi Arabia's largest lifestyle center, seamlessly blending seven themed merchandise zones, traditional souq-inspired architecture, and modern mall amenities while maintaining affordability in both rents and merchandise pricing. The leasing revenues are expected to increase by more than 300%, compared to the project's initial expectations.

The COVID-19 pandemic, while posing challenges, also fostered innovation and the emergence of new business opportunities. Dalma Mall responded to the pandemic's impact by introducing the EEBIS (Emerging Emirati Business Incubation Strategy) in collaboration with Khalifa Fund and Khalifa Foundation. This strategy incubated new Emirati businesses within the mall, offering them free customized kiosk spaces for three months and helping them grow into permanent specialty leasing tenants, potentially generating an annual NOI of AED 5.8 million.

OPM Real Estate Services has introduced a new brand within their group known as "OPM Homes." This brand focuses primarily on the residential sector in Saudi Arabia. The concept involves establishing retail shops to showcase and offer a range of residential products from various developers in Saudi Arabia.
