Welcome to the second annual Polo Pups Calendar. This project was spearheaded by a group of polo players and pup lovers. Proceeds from the sale of the 2021 Calendar will benefit Belle’s Buds Rescue. Pet lover and polo photographer Kerri Kerley contributed several of the amazing images, and thanks to polo pup parents for contributing photos as well. We hope you enjoy our calendar, and we wish you all the best in 2021!

Belle’s Buds Rescue is passionate about making a difference in the lives of people and dogs. They save dogs of all sizes and breeds and envision a day where every adoptable dog has a loving, safe, forever home, and is no longer suffering alone on the streets. Together, co-founders Tammy Livingston and Julia Stanzer rescue, heal, foster, and adopt dogs in need. They have matched thousands of dogs with forever homes across the country, and have made a huge difference in the lives of many furry friends and people alike.
NAME: Remi, a.k.a Rembot or Poops LIFE STORY: Desert Dunes Animal Hospital pulled me from a shelter and got me prepared for life on the outside. They posted a picture of me on Facebook, and that’s how I found my forever home. CLAIM TO FAME: I can open almost all polo coolers for a refreshing sip of water, except for those new Yetis with the tie down straps. I am also excellent at chasing birds at the beach and showing no affection towards humans, #teamnosnuggles. PET PEEVE: Leashes are lameeee. So are electric fences and the heat. BEST BUDS: Chimba, Morci and Paisley

NAME: Luna LIFE STORY: When I was 8 weeks old, I rescued Ignacio and Sukey from Covid fatigue and gave them a reason to wake up several times in the night to take me outside. CLAIM TO FAME: Being stepped on by a horse at 9 weeks and living to tell the tale (minus one toe) PET PEEVE: Puppy school via zoom. And being called a small dog. NAME: Greyhawk LIFE STORY: Grey was bred and trained to be a wheelchair companion service dog. He didn’t fit into the service program as he was too food driven. He was adopted by the Kelly family and was an excellent friend to them for over a decade. CLAIM TO FAME: Greyhawk was a true pup of the people. Sharing moments with all players and grooms (including breakfast burritos), asado BBQs, and dance floors. PET PEEVE: None! Little kids, costumes, people, and polo – he loved it all. He used to panic about car rides, but now is an avid traveler and connoisseur of the polo lifestyle. NAME: Phoenix LIFE STORY: Phoenix is a clone of the Kyle family’s beloved rescue dog named Jakey, who passed away in 2019 after being a part of their family for almost 10 years. Jakey’s gentle and loving spirit is present in Phoenix. CLAIM TO FAME: He’s a puppy who doesn’t understand his size.
