MODELS AND DRAWINGS MEGUMI GRASIER
MODEL EXERCISE Dowels, white thread, and plaster of paris were used to create a series of study models that explored the layering of web patterns within the cubes.
The next model is composed from two of the first sketch models. The plaster model was broken apart and attached to the dowel model.
The final model is made using layers and shards of acrylic panels. The model conceptualizes the layered web patterns.

MODO EXERCISE The 3D modeling program, MODO, was used to create a series abstract forms at an approximately 10’ x 10 x 8’ scale.
For the next phase, image maps and displacements were applied to some of the forms.
On another group of forms, various replicators and lighting systems were applied.
