GREENFOLDER STORIES

What sets Baltimore Country Club apart from other country clubs? Our people! Our staff members take every step to go above and beyond to accomplish our Simple Truth: Great People Make Favorite Places. Often, there are easy ways to make a positive impression on our members from saying happy birthday to congratulations on an award. However, not being afraid to make the big gestures is what distinguishes us.

We love sharing these stories of the Simple Truth! Submit your Simple Truth experience by filling out the Green Folder Stories form, located at the bottom of the Park & Farms email, in Park & Farms, the staff webpage, or scan the QR codes in the staff breakrooms. BCC encourages all members to submit their own or fellow staff members’ Green Folder Stories.

JUNE STAFF MEMBER OF THE MONTH

Tyler Bielatowicz, Bartender

Since joining our team in March, Tyler has been the definition of a team player! Between helping our Banquet Bar Team set up for events, running and operating our À la Carte bars, and creating cocktails for our new cocktail menu rollouts, Tyler’s dedication and determination have made our Food & Beverage Team better. Tyler has built genuine relationships with members and staff. We are so lucky to have Tyler on our team and look forward to his continuous growth.

JULY STAFF MEMBER OF THE MONTH

Fahimeh Nabavi, Garde-Manger

With over 15 years of BCC service, Fahimeh is one of the unsung heroes of our Culinary Team! She is responsible for all Garde-manager tasks (prepares cold food: meats, fish, and salads). The dedication and commitment Fahimeh brings to her job is truly exceptional. Fahimeh consistently goes above and beyond to ensure her tasks are completed to the highest standard. Fahimeh’s meticulous attention to detail, especially when it comes to creating displays, is a testament to her genuine passion for what she does. Fahimeh is an example to the countless interns from all around the world who have had the privilege of being trained by her. We are honored to have Fahimeh on our team!

JULY EXCEPTIONAL LEADERSHIP

Wade Johnstone, Director of Squash

Wade has shown a tremendous amount of adaptability and dedication to his duties as the Director of Squash. Recently, Wade has helped our Tennis and Pickleball programming at Five Farms by stretching his workload to meet the demands of the Racquets Team at Five Farms. Being short-staffed throughout the summer, Wade has helped extensively in our summer junior programs and liveball. We are very proud to have witnessed how Wade’s leadership and teamwork skills have amplified our success this summer!

JULY SIMPLE TRUTH AWARD

Mike Wilkinson, Sous Chef Tournant

One evening, our Dishwasher Rosa received news that her son had been hospitalized after an accident. In her rush to get to the hospital, Rosa accidentally entered the wrong Uber and ended up at a gas station. After hearing about the situation, Chef Mike, displaying remarkable kindness, tirelessly searched for Rosa until he found her, despite a communication barrier and her uncertainty about her location. Rosa explained that she needed to retrieve some essential documents from home before heading to the hospital. Without hesitation, Chef Mike drove her home, waited while she gathered the documents, and then drove her to the hospital. This journey extended late into the night, concluding around 2:00am. Chef Mike’s selflessness and support in this challenging time exemplify the camaraderie and compassion within our team.

JULY SIMPLE TRUTH AWARD

Madison Hill, Member Relations Supervisor

As one of our members walked up with their two children to our Independence Day Celebration, their shoe broke. Unfortunately, they had no options left on getting a different pair of shoes for the event. When the member got to the registration table, Madison heard their story and immediately sprung into action. The member thought that Madison was going to scrounge up a spare shoe from the clubhouse, but Madison went above and beyond by asking Haley Hill to run to Old Navy and buy the member a pair of flipflops. The member was so grateful to Madison for being there in their time of need, and they were able to safely maneuver the rides and enjoy the night in comfort.
