FEBRUARY 2024 NEWSLETTER
A Message From The Board of Directors Dear Members, It has been a busy January at the club with our new Interim GM, Chip Chamberlin. I hope all of you have the pleasure of meeting him if you have not already. We finished the year strong and will have year-end financials shortly. The changes supported by members made by the board are making a positive difference. From the beginning of 2023, we have increased our savings account from $330,000 to $665,000 because of increased restaurant sales, increased golf play, and dues increases. This is the largest balance the club has had since its new formation. Our goal is to present a product the members can be proud of. If we do these daily, good things will happen. At the restaurant, we have made quality changes to enhance your experience. Increased space, parties, theme nights, and new menus have made a positive difference for all. These are not just great experiences for members, but allow us to control our largest expense, labor. We are proud to share that in the recent past, the restaurant averaged $350,000 in sales a year. In 2023, the restaurant generated top-line sales of over $850,000. We hope to continue and build on this success despite the removal of restaurant minimums. We want to offer a product that promotes dining without the requirement of a minimum. We have made additional changes to the restaurant staff, allowing us to optimize profit, service, and quality of food. We have more exciting news coming in the near future. We have secured and purchased the new pickleball courts and steps to be installed in April. The renovation to the basketball area and courts will have netting separating the areas and look fabulous. The court areas that have degradation will also be corrected as part of the project. We are also revamping the playground for the first time in 10 years. By pool opening, the locker rooms will be enhanced with new paint and countertops. We are also in the process of receiving bids to add bar area to the pool cabana. The locker rooms in the clubhouse will also be painted and deep cleaned. The locker rooms will become functional with fully stocked supplies and monitored access. We are also proud to announce the formation of a high-quality bag service this spring. Tree work is being done around the course and the new mats have been a positive difference maker. Glow golf and glow range nights will be introduced along with other exciting events planned for golfers this year.
