我們是誰? WHO ARE WE?
間築社為一個香港註冊慈善團體，我們由一群熱心發展慈善和志願服務的建築系青年和專 業人士成立，註冊慈善團體編號 91/12387。
PROJECT SPACE is a Hong Kong Registered Charitable Institution with registration number 91/12387, we were founded by a group of passionate architecture students and professionals who dedicated efforts in charity and voluntary services.
使命 OUR MISSION
為了每個小孩子都能擁有舒適的成長環境，本會致力將建築與室內設計的概念融會貫通，讓
社會上無數的貧困兒童及家庭，能享有最基本的生活空間及衛生環境。與此同時，我們希望透 過教育，將社區藝術及環境保育伸延﹔亦會組織志願服務團隊，用行動重新將貧困兒童及其家 庭與社區連繫。建立和諧關係，促進社會共融，一起實踐可持續發展的社會。

very child must have a suitable growth environment. In order to obtain the basic living space and hygienic environment for underprivileged children and family, we integrate architecture and interior design toward complete home improvement solutions. Also, we actively extend community art and environmental conservation through education, as well as organizing volunteer service teams to reconnect underprivileged children and their families with the community. We hope to create a harmonious community and sustainable living. 1
里程碑 2011
年，間築社由一群熱心發展慈善和志願服務 的建築系青年和專業人士成立。
2012
年，本會協助尼泊爾的非牟利組織 ”VAN” ，為坐落於偏遠山區 "Lahachok" 中的一間貧困農村學 校，提供維修舊有校舍服務及擴建一棟新校舍，經過義 工們400多個小時的翻新及興建工程，現該棟新校舍每 年為120名農村小孩提供教學服務。
2013
年，間築社正式成為香港註冊慈善團體，為 本地弱勢社群提供小型家居改善計劃。另外，我們亦積 極籌款，準備拓展不同範疇的慈善項目。
2014
年，本會與「東華三院朗情綜合家庭服務中 心」合作試辦「小型家居改善計劃」，該服務為期6個 月，義工服務時間長達230小時。
2015
年，本會由「南華早報」與「香港電台」之 「愛心聖誕大行動」贊助，開展一項名為「鐵皮小孩小 型家居改善計劃」服務，為本地劏房戶、鐵皮屋及其他 居住環境惡劣之家庭提供服務。該服務平均每年為60至 120戶基層家庭改善家居生活質素。
2016
年，本會承「愛心聖誕大行動」的支持及贊 助，使「小型家居改善計劃」服務付諸實行，為本地劏 房戶、鐵皮屋及其他居住環境惡劣之家庭，提供小型家 居維修和改善服務，送贈必須的家具用品。截至本年， 已累積超過139戶家庭受惠。
2017
2
年，本會與「香港青少年服務處賽馬會大埔 青少年綜合服務中心」聯合舉辦「家居維修義工訓練」 ，義工總服務時數達 202小時；此外，與不同機構合 作進行「木工工作坊」及「油漆教學」等。隨後，本會 更伙及本地咖啡廳「茶咖廳」籌備「社區人像畫繪畫比 賽」及展覽。
2011
In , PROJECT SPACE we were founded by a group of passionate architecture students and professionals who dedicated efforts in charity and voluntary services.
2012
In , PROJECT SPACE coordinated with a Nepalese NGO, called VAN, to provide a refurbishment and extension rural school building project, located in the mountainous region of Lahachok at Kaski. With over 400 volunteer hours, the brand new school building can serve 120 students in that rural area per annum.
2013
In , PROJECT SPACE officially became a Hong Kong Registered Charitable Institution, providing Home Improvement Project to the local underprivileged families. We are ready to expand our charitable projects, so the expansion of fundraisings is a must.
2014
In , PROJECT SPACE’s pilot service of “Home Improvement Project” collaborated with “Tung Wah Group of Hospitals Long Love Integrated Family Service Centre”, and the total volunteer hours reached 230 hours in six months.
2015
,“Squatter Kids Home Improvement Project” service was sponsored by In “Operation Santa Claus” under “SCMP” & “RTHK”. The major beneficiaries are children and their family who living in a local subdivided unit, a container flat and another adverse living environment. An average of 60 to 120 families is able to improve their quality of life under this service each year.
2016
In , “Home Improvement Project” service was well-developed regarding continuously supported & sponsored by “Operation Santa Claus”. We sustained attention on a local subdivided unit, a container flat and another adverse living environment, with all-inclusive services of home improvement such as contribution, installation & repairing. As this year, more than 139 families have accumulated benefit.
2017
In , “Home Improvement Volunteer Training” organized by PROJECT SPACE and the “Hong Kong Children & Youth Services” with the total 202 volunteer hours. Besides, we cooperated with various organizations to conduct a few teaching workshops of home improvement like as “Carpentry” and “Wall Painting”. At the year end, we planned to have an exhibition of "Community Portrait Contest" with the local cafe "Congteakafe" for the purpose of the harmonious community.

我們的工作 OUR WORK 過去，在本會接觸的個案中，擠迫問題、家 庭經濟問題或家人關係問題等種種原因，導致 很多家庭長期居住於劏房、貨櫃屋和衛生安全 欠佳的問題居所裡，這會嚴重影響小朋友的身 心健康成長。 我們承諾讓孩子們擁有一個健康的成長環境， 令他們能完善地發展潛能。於2017年，已累積 超過175戶家庭向本會求助，而曾協助受惠家 庭的義工團體有學生及專業人士，包括社工、 維修技工及室內設計專員等。

In the case of this charity, many families live in
inhumane accommodations, such as subdivided unit and container flat, there are several factors leading to this phenomenon like overcrowding, financial and family issues. Those substandard accommodations are insecure and unsanitary that would seriously affect both the physical and mental health of children.
We committed to let children have a healthy growth environment which fully improves their development potential. In 2017, our service has accumulated to more than 175 beneficiary families with our volunteer team includes students and professionals such as social workers, maintenance technicians and interior designers, etc.

故事 STORY 「就是這條蛇﹗嚇死我﹗」 張女仕指著手機屏幕並驚叫起來，從相片看來是一條俗稱「銀腳帶」的 蛇，毒性很强，夜間活動，棲息水邊，性情溫和，估計因棲息地被破壞， 所以潛入民居。 事主張女仕帶着三位小朋友，與幾個家庭共住在元朗橫州車場附近的鐵皮 屋，位屬鄉村地區，蛇蟲鼠蟻繁多；屋外的鐵皮圍欄望可隔開堆放的建築 廢料，但未能防蚊患，因周遭積水嚴重；屋內的洗手間及廚房是共用，奈 何各自對衞生要求會有差異。 由於鄰近的金屬回收廠發出的輾壓聲影響，令三位小朋友未能於家中溫習 功課；而且每戶只得一扇摺門相隔，完全沒有私隱度，經常遭鄰居投訴三 位小朋友的喧嘩聲。 本會建議為全屋架起蚊帳，屋外灑硫磺，洞口用水泥密封，食物及衣物放 置於膠箱內，盡量防止蛇蟲鼠蟻入侵及破壞。雖然治標不治本，張女仕都 喜出望外。 根據統計處顯示，居住在這些臨時搭建的鐵皮屋之居民大概有20.7萬戶， 情況就像香港50、60年代的木屋區一樣，受環境衛生及消防安全等問題 煎熬。 此刻的張女仕渴望能盡快配置公屋，擺脫現時的困境。

"Look, that snake! It scared me!" Ms Cheung was yelling and pointing at her phone screen. The timid and placid species of snake known as the "Many-banded krait" is nocturnal and commonly found in humid lowland areas. We believed due to habitat destruction, so dive it into residential areas. Wang Chau is a rural area of the Yuen Long District and is home to many snakes and other pests. Ms Cheung lives with her three children there, sharing a temporary container flat with several other families. However, each family invariably has their own hygiene and quality of living requirements. In this case, the metal sheet fence assembled outside of the flat helps to separate the construction waste from the families’ living area, although this does little to prevent mosquitoes due to the accumulation of water in the area.
Our suggestion of preventing infestation and destruction of snakes and other pests were to put up mosquito nets, to sprinkle over sulfur, and seal all holes with cement outside the container flat, also the food and clothing should be placed inside the plastic box. Although the above solutions did not completely solve the problems, Ms Cheung was overjoyed. According to the Census and Statistics Department, there are about 207,000 inhabitants living in these temporary container flats. The situation is similar to that of Hong Kong's wooden houses in the 50's and 60's. They are affected by environmental hygiene and fire safety issues. Ms Cheung is eager to obtain public housing as soon as possible to get rid of the current difficulties.
Regarding to the children’s difficulty in studying at home, noise pollution from the nearby recycling plant appears to be of concern. Besides, the neighbours often complain about shouting of the three children. 7
VOLUNTEER TRAINING 義工訓練 於 2016-2017 年度，間築社應邀 出席多個團體或單位的活動並進行協 作，以擴展及優化本會之慈善服務，培 養義工團體。
2017年6月，與「草途木研社」暨「木 土學堂」聯合組織「小木工義工訓練」 ，義工於課堂上學習頗多DIY技巧，一來 為義工自己家居作DIY小木工，二來令有 需要的家庭受惠。
2017年7月，提供「義工油漆教學」予 「香港青少年服務處 」的青年義工，參 與訓練後，義工學員為本會提供超過了 202小時的志願服務。我們更希望他們 將來能實際應用出來。
At the year 2016-2017, PROJECT SPACE was invited to attend different events and collaborate with various organizations, to expand and optimize our charitable projects and as well as developing our volunteer service teams.

In June 2017, we organized "Carpentry Training Course" with "Coutou Woodworking Studio", to provide a lot of DIY skills for our volunteers. PROJECT SPACE hopes our volunteers can put the DIY carpentry in practice, and to benefit more families in need.
In July 2017, "Wall Painting Class” provided to young volunteers of "Hong Kong Children & Youth Services" then they have well-trained and given over 202 volunteer hours to PROJECT SPACE, our expectation was to let young volunteers will be able to apply it in the future.

去一年，有超過50名義工參加本會舉辦的 服務，他們均來自各大專院校學生、求助家庭的 該區居民、本會受惠對象及綜合青少年服務中心 等，其主要負責義工探訪、搬運雜物、油漆、購 置基本傢俱、清潔、除害蟲及重置空間等。

n the last year, we have more than 50 volunteers participated in our projects. The major of volunteers were college students, residents, beneficiary families and the youths of "Hong Kong Children & Youth Services”...etc. The main responsibilities of volunteers were for home visiting, removal collection, wall painting, purchasing basic home furniture, janitorial and pests control, reorganizing home space...etc.

年度活動 ANNUAL EVENTS 2017年12月，本會應邀於「第七屆深港城市／建築 雙城雙年展(深圳)」的「羅湖草埔分展場」之「CCCD Artspace－碧波押 Green Wave Art 家托邦展館」中 展出「香港劏房居住研究報告2017」，該展覽期由 2017年12月至2018年3月。當中「五大實踐」分展場 都有其鮮明的建築及文化現象，根據不同的策展主題 演繹「城市共生」的理念。而本會之研究報告展示香 港劏房單位的居住情況及地區分佈等，如單位數目及 面積，居住人數及特徵，住戶入息中位數，與每月租 金中位數。 In December 2017, “2017 Hong Kong Subdivided Housing Research Report” was invited to exhibit at “7th Bi-city Biennale of Urbanism/ Architecture” for the period as from December 2017 to March 2018. In order to explain the concept of “Cities Grow in Difference”, the organization arranged the

five different sub-venues, the subject of all those curatorial themes both have their own distinctive architectural style and cultural phenomena. And “2017 Hong Kong Subdivided Housing Research Report” was displayed in the “CCCD Artspace－ Green Wave Art Hometopia Exhibition Hall" of Luohu Sub-Venue, to state the living conditions and geographical distribution of Hong Kong subdivided units, such as the number and size of units, the number of residents and their characteristics, the median household income, and the median monthly rent.
與此同時，「香港劏房居住研究報告2017」在本地咖 啡廳「茶咖廳」展出，引起市民對香港劏房問題的關 注。 At the same time, “2017 Hong Kong Subdivided Housing Research Report” was exhibited in the local cafe "Congteakafe" to raise the concern of the Hong Kong subdivided housing issues for the public.
本會繼續與「茶咖廳」合作，籌備「社區人像畫繪畫 比賽」，希望透過繪畫藝術將社區各階層人士連結， 表達身為香港人對社區的關懷與支持。於2018年2月， 該繪畫比賽及展覽成功完成並頒發獎狀。 Additionally, we planned to arrange an exhibition of “Community Portrait Contest" with "Congteakafe", to connect with people at various levels through community art, as well as expressing our concern & support to the community in Hong Kong. Finally, the contest & exhibition were successfully accomplished in February 2018.

創意照亮每一天 "Light Up” Handmade Lamp Cover 運用雷射切割技術，讓基層小孩與其家長能動手製作燈 罩，並協助他們回收及更換慳電膽，以節省電費 Let children with their parents to craft a handmade lamp cover by the way of "Laser Cutting", and assist them to recycle & replace LED for saving electricity cost. 12
