New Library Exterior Nearly Complete
Merriam Plaza Library construction is on track and on budget!
Construction crews finished most of the building’s outside structure and will soon begin working on the inside.
The 15,000-square-foot building is located next to the Merriam Community Center. It’ll have:
▶ An eco-friendly green roof.
▶ Sculpture-like monitors on the roof for natural light.
▶ Window nooks along the east and west sides.
▶ A drive-thru window for material returns and hold pickups.
The new library replaces the Antioch Library branch, which has served our community since 1956.
Merriam Plaza Library is scheduled to open next year.
