This could burn gum tissue. If the toothache persists, try to see the dentist. Don’t rely on painkillers. They may temporarily relieve pain but your dentist should evaluate the condition.
Knocked-out (avulsed) tooth: Try to find the tooth! This may not be as easy as you think if the injury took place on a playground, basketball court or while skateboarding, so try to stay calm. Hold the tooth by the crown and rinse the root in water if the tooth is dirty. Don’t scrub it or remove any attached tissue fragments. If it’s possible, gently insert and hold the tooth in its socket while you head to the dentist. If that’s not possible, put the tooth in a cup of milk and bring it to the dentist. Time is critical for successful preimplantation, so try to get to your dentist immediately.
Broken tooth: Rinse your mouth with warm water to clean the area. Use cold compresses on the outside of the cheek to help reduce the swelling.
Tongue or lip bites or wounds: Clean the area gently with a clean cloth and apply cold compresses to reduce any swelling. If the bleeding can’t be controlled, go to a hospital emergency room or clinic. You may able to reduce bleeding from the tongue by pulling it forward and using gauze to put pressure on the wound.
Objects caught between teeth: Try to gently remove the object with dental floss. Never use a sharp instrument to remove any object that is stuck between your teeth. If you can’t dislodge the object with floss, contact your dentist.

The importance of agriculture is abundant - from the food we eat, the major industries it supports and the benefits it provides to our environment. But looking ahead, in order for agriculture to continue to advance, it's essential to educate and inspire young minds, invest in the next generation and turn today's youth into tomorrow's leaders. That's where youth agriculture organizations come in. According to Christi Korzekwa, senior vice president of marketing at Tractor Supply Company, the nation's largest rural lifestyle retailer, the future of farming is in the hands of these young leaders. "Organizations like the 4-H and FFA play an integral role in educating youth and fostering the importance that agriculture plays within our society," said Korzekwa. "It's important to inspire these young members while providing opportunities to showcase their achievements and form strong relationships within their communities.� There are over 150 different projects that 4-H members may choose from. Here in Monroe County, popular projects include horses, veterinary science, pet care, entomology, sewing and photography. Have a child interested in joining? However, the festivities don’t have to be completely focused on unhealthy bites in order to make someone feel special. This year, it can be easy to share in the fun of Valentine’s Day by serving those you love with sweet, seasonal treats. For example, these Frosted Watermelon Cutouts make for ideal snacks for children and adults alike whether it’s an after-school treat or a sweet dessert with just three ingredients, heart-shaped cookie cutters and minimal time spent in the kitchen. If you’re really looking to impress that special someone, this Watermelon and Chocolate Dessert Board calls for creativity and plenty of tasty morsels like berries, cashews, almonds and dark chocolate. Maple Sugaring Public Day
Our 43rd Public Maple Sugaring Day will feature a tour of the Sugarbush including stops to learn about Native American and early pioneer methods of making maple syrup, our
evaporator process, and methods of identifying and tapping a maple tree. After the tour, everyone will get a chance to taste some of our syrup on freshly made pancakes! The
event runs from 10am - 3pm and is located at the Meesing
