OMMITMENT TO CONTRIBUTION

Welcome to the 2021-22 Fall/Winter edition of The Giving Guide & Event Book. Things are still changing in our world and in our community as we continue to navigate through times of uncertainty. As many of you know, one of our main focuses here at metroMAGAZINE/ALH Publications, Inc., is shining a light on the Omaha metro nonprofit community and the volunteers, staff and donors who help them contribute to those in need: families, children, the elderly, the homeless, animals, wildlife—you name it. These organizations do so much for so many. As we continue to celebrate our 30th anniversary we are even more committed to supporting, featuring and celebrating our local nonprofits and heroes. Over the past 30 years, metroMAGAZINE has covered literally thousands of charity events, reporting on millions of dollars raised and recognizing hundreds of individuals and businesses who make a difference in our community. It has been an honor and a privilege to be the media source uniquely serving in this role, and we will continue to be. As I have said before, our commitment is only strengthened by the ongoing dynamics associated with the COVID-19 pandemic. Once again we are honored to pay tribute to the many fine philanthropic and cultural organizations included in the following pages, along with their staff, volunteers and leadership. As I continue to have the opportunity to engage with these difference-makers I am always inspired by their passion and devotion. The charity sector’s love for our community and our people casts an influence throughout the region. We wholeheartedly share this passion and devotion and are dedicated to supporting their efforts 365/24/7. There are so many of us who—like these role models—share this desire to give back to a community that means so much to us. I truly believe that most of us want to contribute, to be engaged, to help those in need and to make a difference. It is my desire and the desire of ALH Publications, Inc., to MAKE GIVING BACK EASIER. Once again, as with our previous editions, readers will find a comprehensive collection of nonprofit profiles and event registers. Our goal is to help companies and individuals align their passion with a purpose—and this publication is crafted to do so by CONNECTING giving-minded individuals with local businesses and nonprofits that share a common vision and mission. Be sure to sure visit our website at SpiritofOmaha.com for the digital edition and additional information about the organizations featured in this publication. Enjoy this edition of The Giving Guide & Event Book and watch for the next edition—which will include new, expanded content—delivering this coming spring. Be prepared to experience Something Different and Something New in 2022! What else is possible? Let’s discover the answers together! Be well, my friends, and God Bless!
