I am a Mexican. I am proud that millions of tourists and thousands of marrying couples come to our country every year because of its pleasant climate year round, gorgeous beaches and hospitable people. But Mexico is so much more than weather, sand and warm water. Since I have started Caty Gomez Events, my business as a wedding designer and producer twenty years ago, Mexico has been opening to me as a limitless land of enchantment because of the variety of wedding venues and destinations it has to offer, and it never ceased to inspire me with the spirit and happiness of its people. A wedding in Mexico is like the country itself – without an end: you know the time when your wedding will start, but you never know when it will end, and it’s the same with Mexico as the country. You arrive here with your own expectations, but if you open your eyes and heart, you can discover things you have never expected to find. By producing weddings and events for foreign princes and Mexican presidents, movie stars and famous artists, as well as countless couples in love, I have realized that Mexico has something for every taste, and possesses a magical power to attract and enchant. That’s how the idea for the first-ever digital bi-lingual magazine about weddings in Mexico was born. Mexico Weddings Magazine by Caty Gomez introduces top industry experts that will give advice about selected venues, bridal fashion and newest trends, wedding etiquette, and all the steps of planning your wedding day in Mexico. Our Bridal Diary, also in a digital format, will be a hands-on help for brides, detailing all the steps leading to the wedding day of real-life couples. Los CABOS IN THE LAND OF MYSTICAL NATURE,
UNPARALLELED LUXURY & DREAM WEDDINGS. BY CARMEN M.LABORIN
Where the ocean meets the desert, and the pleasant climate promises play and relaxation year-round, are two world-famous destinations, sharing the name of Los Cabos, with one road connecting them. The proud origins of this special land, situated between a sea and an ocean, and surrounded by mountains and a desert, come from Pericues and Guaycuras Indians, who used to call the mountains their home, and successfully resisted missionaries and pirates for centuries. Their patriotic resistance is now a source of thousands of legends about the courage and nobility of local inhabitants. The same majestic legendary mountains now proudly welcome visitors to this special land, and the road between San Jose del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas leads you to many flavors and contrasts of the peninsula, where its hospitality, fun atmosphere, sundrenched beaches and dramatic rocks will enchant you and transport you to a mystical place of love and romance. 12 MEXICO WEDDING MAG
No wonder Los Cabos is a preferred choice for many celebrity wedding planners. When asked about the recent engagement of Jennifer Anniston to Justin Theroux, Colin Cowie a famous personality in wedding world, told Fox News that he saw them escaping South of the Border to one of Jennifer’s favorite places, Cabo San Lucas. “She loves the One and Only Palmilla (resort) and it’s very her…relaxed and cool. I see the ceremony taking place on the property overlooking the water and then moving down to the beach for a traditional Mexican dinner (one of her favorites) and dancing under the stars,” he said.
Los Cabos have been, for decades, a preferred destination for Mexicans and foreigners in search of a dream wedding. The regular visitors, who used to be the elite of the society or Hollywood stars, are now giving place to thousands of couples, who choose this jewel-like peninsula for their perfect weddings, witnessed by the Cortes Sea on one side and the Pacific Ocean on the other. Lucky to have only three average days of rainfall per year, the whole Baja Sur region is an ideal place for romantic beach and outdoor weddings. Therefore, Los Cabos have become the land of “yes” and smiling faces that welcome you as a warm embrace, whether you’re staying in San Jose del Cabo, which is a more traditional, quaint Mexican town, or in San Lucas, which is modern and advanced. The scenery is particularly special, and even the dry desert is romantic and inviting, with spiky cactuses mixed with millions of fragile white flowers, with some beaches suitable for swimming and others very wild, only meant for professional surfers or dreamy sunset walks. Lovers Beach, as its name suggests, is one of the most romantic ones, perfect for swimming; then there are countless other beaches, such as Arches, Medano, Playa Santa Maria, Playa Chileno, Viudas, Palmilla or Cerritos, to name a few… Some of them are completely wild, not even with a hotel in sight.
Los CABOS
WHERE TO EAT?
For a typical experience of Los Cabos, you can’t miss these gastronomical delights. For quality local cuisine, try El Torito, Mariscos Mazatlán, Mocambo or Lorenzillos. For traditional Mexican tacos, you can’t go wrong with Los Claros or Tacos Rosy, with restaurants both in San Jose and San Lucas. You can’t also miss La Panga Antigua, Mi Casa or Tequila Restaurant, where you will be attended by its gracious owner, Enrique Silva and enjoy the Mexican flair in its best. If you want to discover one of the best-kept secrets of Los Cabos, try Flora Farms, which is not only a restaurant, but an oldfashioned community built around fields of organic crops that serves fresh organic food every day.
Besides the iconic beaches, Los Cabos have striking sunsets, gourmet restaurants, and countless activities, especially water sports and adventure. The impressive sceneries, immortalized in “Troy movie starring Brad Pitt, is just one of the reasons for which people feel almost magically attracted to this land full of adventure and romance, and you’d have to carefully go through the list of the world-class hotels of every style till you find the one that seems perfect for your dream wedding. When it comes to food, the focus is on local, natural ingredients and fresh seafood wherever you go, served by many talented chefs at multiple resorts and restaurants of the area. There are also plentiful restaurants with traditional Mexican food or highclass international gourmet cuisine, and most hotels have special reception packages for weddings, based on your taste and budget.

I spent a pleasant afternoon with the newlyweds, thinking that maybe they would be tired after their wedding. However, I was surprised to find them full of energy and extremely happy. Here are some of the photos I took, and the thoughts Kurissi and Carlo while they were being photographed. POR PIETER VAN LANDSCHOOT ART AN IMAGE PHOTOGRAPHY
1.
When we arrived at this spot, they said to me: “Pieter, are you sure there aren’t any crocodiles?” I told them I had discovered the place a while back and it was very safe, and asked them to tell me how a Mexican lady and a Swiss man had met. This kiss was the result of their remembering that meeting.
2.
We then headed for the beach and as I was getting the equipment ready, I took this shot. The happy couple were enjoying every moment …
3.
Here Carlo pointed to a pair of seagulls and reminded Kurissi that when they exchanged vows a pair of gulls just like these had flown past.
4.
They sat down and laughed with excitement imagining that just like the seagulls they would now head off to New York to make their nest.

5.
They confessed to me that they were reminded of a song by Pablo Milanés that they really liked and goes that goes like this: “So many centuries, so many worlds, so much space and we met…”

Travel with your soul mate to the heart of Mexico
A honeymoon is a time of harmony immediately after the wedding. I can’t think of a more beautiful or spectacular place than Mexico for newlyweds to take their first trip as husband and wife. Mexico offers many marvelous options for your honeymoon but I would like to begin with two beautiful colonial states: Michoacán and Querétaro, which I had the privilege of visiting this summer.
"Los arcos," Queretaro
Travel with your soul mate to the heart of Mexico, to Michoacán. When you get there, you’ll feel as if you have somehow gone back in time to the Old World of Europe and traditional Mexico. Here you will discover convents, glorious haciendas and Spanish palaces. Your first trip as husband and wife will be to a truly magical place.
Morelia, the capital of Michoacán, is not only a sensational city, but has also been designated as a Heritage of Humanity site by UNESCO because of its 16th, 17th, and 18th century architecture. These buildings now house most of the hotels, where you can choose to stay. The central point of Morelia is the cathedral, with its high, twin steeples that stands in the middle of the main plaza and is the heart of the city. On Saturday night, the cathedral is gradually lit up to achieve an impressive effect.
El Sagrario,Patzcuro
In Tzintzuntzan you can visit San Francisco Convent. This monastery flourished for over a hundred years before being turned into a school and is now open to the public. A large portion of the courtyard and original twostory building are still standing, and parts of 400-year-old original frescoes can still be seen in the enormous vaulted entrance. Pátzcuaro is close to Morelia and is one of Michoacán’s four Magical Towns. Pátzcuaro means “Gate to Heaven.” The ancient inhabitants gave it this name because they believed that the gates of Heaven were nearby. Its central point is the Grand Plaza, where a statue of Bishop Vasco de Quiroga stands.
Queretaro
If your style is more adventurous, you can enjoy paragliding, kayaking, mountain bicycling, hiking, golf or visiting the world’s youngest volcano, Paricutín. You can take the Don Vasco Route through town, which goes through historic zones that will imbue you with the magic of ancient traditions. Adjectives like magnificent, magical, mystical, miraculous and majestic perfectly describe Michoacán. Multi-colored mosaics sustaining authentic traditions and sunsets over splendid architecture are at your fingertips in Querétaro. A city that has preserved its original beauty dating from the viceregal period, this treasure in the heart of Mexico is just a two-hour drive from Michoacán or Mexico City.
moon
Both are ideal destinations for the honeymoon of your dreams.
I agree with the words on the cover of a brochure I was given in Querétaro: “Explore the Unexpected. ”I hadn’t expected Querétaro to be a romantic destination and found that I had been mistaken. Magnificent colonial buildings housing art galleries, museums, elegant restau¬rants, cafés and crafts stores; haciendas with their grounds and vineyards; worldclass musicians, Mexican and international cuisine and a long tradition of producing wine in a valley that extends from San Juan del Río to Ezequiel Montes. Could you ask for anything more romantic? Querétaro is a state that retains characteristics of the viceregal era, with its baroque cityscapes. Michoacán is a magical place, rich in nature, traditions and beautiful architecture. Both are ideal for the honeymoon of your dreams. I truly enjoyed every magical moment of my trip to Querétaro and Michoacán and was moved by all the people I met. I hope that you will travel to one of Mexico’s romantic cities, which are colonial jewels, and experience their charm.

reating ambiance, nspiring feelings BY BEATRIZ IRACHETA - PHOTO BLOG STYLE ME PRETTY
Limitless imagination and inspiration are the most fascinating ingredients in the world of decoration. Decoration has become a major player today, transforming all weddings into occasions that allow the free reign of magic, creativity and fantasy, that use fresh ideas and incorporate the personality of the most demanding and forward-thinking brides and grooms. It’s true to say that the seasons determine the style of weddings since it is not the same to stage a wedding in a garden during Spring as it is to hold one in a silver candle-filled salon during winter. The time of year must always be taken into account when choosing the place for a wedding, and you should always look for a venue that expresses your personality.
44 MEXICO WEDDING MAG
Spring It’s the ideal time for an open-air wedding in a garden or at hacienda, with beautiful lilightcolored flowers and even flower motifs on the table linen in classic soft tones. Candles will help create a romantic mood at sunset along with the release of butterflies at the precise moment the bride and groom exchange vows at the altar (there are companies that specialize in the release of butterflies). For weddings held outdoors, good lighting is also a must when night falls.
Summer It’s the time for relaxation, and the ideal spot for holding a wedding at this time of year is the beach with its tropical colors of blue, yellow, lime green, orange and pink that complement the season perfectly. Sparks from sparklers and fireworks set to the rhythm of the song chosen by the bride and groom when they take to the dance floor add an exciting touch that guests will remember for the rest of their lives.
46 MEXICO WEDDING MAG
Fall
It’s the season preferred by many romantics with its color palette of copper, gold and range of orange, which can be used for the decorations to give a wedding flashes of glimmer. A carpet of dry leaves along the aisle of the church looks romantic and adds a personal seasonal touch; you can also include pumpkin on the menu as the base for one of the courses, a creamy soup (perhaps asparagus) and a seasonal fruit dessert for emphasis.

50 MEXICO WEDDING MAG
Winter It’s the season when you can mark the path to the salon with candles if the weather doesn’t allow you to use outdoor spaces, while the ideal colors for this time of year are shades of wine, purple, silver and white. An ice bar with personalized cocktails in the lounge area or at the edge of the dance floor is a highly original idea that will knock your guests out cold!

twist of f ate WITH A
eddings with a twist of fate are a delight for any photographer, especially in a country like Mexico, which is a feast for creativity. It’s incredible to explore your own country, but it acquires an even different meaning when you can discover it through the eyes of a foreigner. Allow me to share with you the story of Susana and Joep’s wedding. Susana is a beautiful bride, who moved to Holland, where she met her future husband, Joep. They decided to have their wedding ceremony in Mexico, partly because of the beauty of our country and partly because of some of the family members and friends, who couldn’t attend the civil marriage in Holland, from where they contacted us to do their wedding’s photo shoot. The bride and the groom, along with their families, arrived to the city of Oaxaca a few days before to spend some time together, while exploring the colonial beauty of this old Mexican city. When you arrive to Oaxaca from Mexico City, you are surprised by its warm weather and calmness, while surrounded by very a lively Mexican environment. The deeper you immerse yourself inside its cobblestone streets, the harder it becomes not to get wrapped by the atmosphere of the place, created by beautiful colonial architecture, sprinkled with intense colors typical of our southeastern culture, reflecting the Mexican landscape. It’s a great experience, even when things are not completely foreign to me. But when you make these trips together with foreign people, the most traditional things, those that we are really used to seeing, acquire a different meaning; the particular flowers of the place, the craftwork, lottery game

cards, black clay vases with wide mouths, clear-colored clay pitchers with small mouths, the ponchos–in short, everything acquires a new significance. Susana and Joep asked their wedding coordinator to use some of these traditional Mexican things to decorate the place where they were getting married, and to do so in a special and creative way, for which we dedicated a good amount of time and created a decoration plan with all the details they cared so much about. During the course of the wedding, the weather drastically changed several times; we started the coverage with a sunny day, and it was cloudy and raining when we left the church. These ever-changing factors are a major challenge in carrying out the photo shoot. You as a photographer need to have experience with different kinds of environments in order to have the best possible result for wedding photos like these, independently from weather circumstances and the light. We not only have to catch everything without losing any detail and to capture all the important and emotional moments, but we also have to make the newlyweds look beautiful, so that when they look at their photos, their memories will be so vivid as to make them travel back to the same special moment and place of their wedding.

Christiel Gino WHY DID YOU CHOOSE THIS PLACE? We like its beaches, its colors, its colonial past, as well as its people, the style, and, above all, the climate that is perfect year round. The family tradition is to get married at home, but we had unconditional support from our parents for our marriage at spectacular Los Cabos.
WHAT WAS YOUR WEDDING LIKE? From the very beginning, our wedding was full of emotions, love and harmony. Our guests also got infected by our happy mood and the atmosphere of this paradise-like place, Casa Dorada Los Cabos Resort & Spa (www.casadorada. com). This beautiful hotel is situated along the most swimmable beach in Cabo – Medano Beach – and within walking distance of endless shopping, fine dining, and nightlife. The most emotional moment of our wedding was when we placed the bottle of a special wine in a wooden box with our names engraved on it, together with letters that we both wrote for each other. We will open this box at our Golden Wedding Anniversary (in 50 years).

Gowns with long billowing skirts, ethereal gauze that provides movement, with satin flowers and feathers... it’s a season shaded by cupcake colors like pastel pink, mint green or sky blue that come together in three different lines under the same common denominator.
PRONOVIAS PEPE BOTELLA Now headed by his daughter Lucía Botella, the runway was a succession of perfect needlework and design, with a large variety of corseted dresses; shaped and perfectly fitted to the model’s figures that trace the body’s silhouette, flowing from the hip to the floor. 74 MEXICO WEDDING MAG

Skirts are the star of the show with overlays, also bubbled, gathered and flowing. Champagne tones lend a vintage air to the line, along with beadwork on tulle, all draped with a romantic air.
MIGUEL SUAY
The Valencia designer presented in Cibeles Madrid Novias, and the result couldn’t have been better: timeless classic styles for brides, perhaps the most traditional looks seen to this point on the Madrid runway. With adorable floral headpieces that are a distant reminder of the artist Frida Kahlo, the flirty styles by Miguel Suay recover the silhouettes of the traditional bride, with princess-cut gowns, lace sleeves, mermaid cuts and halter necks for the youthful bride.
trending now: VERA WANG
The New York designer presents nine styles that include contemporary attire with simple details in mermaid and A-line silhouettes. The cuts are classic, such as the sweetheart and strapless, along with less traditional styles. Another great option is a short romantic dress of satin organza with lace.

REEM ACRA
The Lebanese designer dresses the bride traditionally but no less dazzlingly, opting for romantic and feminine beauty. He presented an exquisite and elegant line, principally composed of strapless and heart-shaped necklines along with beadwork and gloves. The materials are luxurious and sublime: silk, tulle and organza lace, with pearls and crystals.

The woman of today is distinguished by her unique personality and her knowledge that all forms of life, relationships and people are in constant movement. The difference between yesterday and today is that today we all want to understand, analyze and experience these new ways of living that are constantly fluid, and eventually become fundamental tendencies that mark the era of freedom.
This freedom is also present in the current fashion trends, where we find all sorts of textures, colors and movements. It has turned into a nonverbal lan guage, aspiration, motivation, projection of energy and especially into a how - to in the game of influencing others.

It’s important to bring in some playfulness into our lives that are usually full of stress and routine. For example, we can combine modern styles and trends with classical pastimes, such as a morning jog in the park with a trendy Bikram Yoga class or listening to news on the radio, followed by a chat with your iphone’s personal assistant... This is the current trend. Everything is free-flowing in the modern world, and what matters is how we mix it all up. The same applies to fashion, which is bursting with new found creativity, such as the currently popular combination of modern and classic styles, as well as bright fun colors mixed with elegant dark ones.
Relationships and people are constantly changing.

ay, freedom is in fashion.
If you thought we were in the season of grey and black colors, the current news is that the palette will intensify. Reds, pinks and oranges travel from lipstick colors, through the clothes and onto accessories, complemented by stylish coats and classic colors, resulting in absolute elegance. Bright colors are great in a lovely cocktail dress or in a stunning “little dress, in a divine party clutch, as well as in an oversized bag for your important day. So what’s new in the world of shoes? Laced boots for fall or winter with fasteners, clips, buttons and tassels, made of real or synthetic leather, molding legs and showing off the anatomy of the foot never imagined before. This is freedom in a perfect contemporary combination.
We all know that organizing a wedding takes time, and that the preparations for every detail start months in advance: the banquet, your dress, the music, and the honeymoon… but what about you? Since you’ll be the center of attention that day, it’s important to think about your “look.” Make looking spectacular your main goal. Your skin should also be radiant and perfect on your big day. So besides keeping a beauty plan for approximately six months before the wedding to get your skin, hair and face ready for your special day, it’s essential that you spend at least one day ahead of the wedding dedicated entirely to you and your image.
YOUR SKIN SHOULD BE RADIANT AND PERFECT ON YOUR BIG DAY. There are a number of treatments and suggestions you can follow, even at home, to make sure you look your best. Although we also recommend that you seek the advice of a professional so that they can suggest, based on your needs, the treatments designed especially for brides. Here are some of our favorites.
THE LATEST LUXURY: SOFT AND LUMINOUS SKIN DIAMOND MAGNETIC is a high-technology cosmetic product from NATURA BISSÉ. It’s a unique cream designed to generate positive energy, reduce stress, and return skin to its natural beauty and splendor. The formula, which contains diamond dust, micronized iron, and the scent of wild lavender, provides a unique sensory experience that transports you to the world of inner wellness. This treatment, among the most spectacular that can be enjoyed at a spa, consists of the application of this unusual cream with a delicious massage to then remove the iron participles with a magnet, leaving a luminous veil on the skin. Disconnect from the stress of all the wedding preparations and you’ll be ready to shine on your day.

PHOTOJOURNALISM How to pick the best photographer? What makeup will help me look beautiful for the photos? Renowned wedding photographer Rodrigo Del Rio Lozano, located in the Riviera Maya, answers our questions. BY RAMINTA LILAITE PHOTO RODRIGO DEL RIO LOZANO
Appreciate the importance of photography in your event, since it will make every moment an unforgettable memory...
We asked Rodrigo for some advice for our brides on how to pick the ideal photographer, what to keep in mind when getting ready for the photo session and how to look better and more relaxed in wedding photos. What’s wedding photojournalism? Photojournalism is a new approach to wedding photography where moments and real emotions are captured spontaneously, as they happen, without poses or direction. With the idea that reality can go beyond your dreams, it creates living, natural, spontaneous and artistic images that will never be forgotten. What should a bride know when picking the ideal photographer for her wedding? Appreciate the importance of photography in your event, since it will make every moment an unforgettable memory. Take his style into account and fall in love with his photos. The photographer is not just professional, above all he’s an artist who uses
his camera as an instrument. Go through his portfolio, since this will reveal his personality, sensitivity and photographic style. The photographer must be a professional “wedding specialist.” Don’t assume that someone with a fancy camera is a professional. It’s not the same to take a photo as to make a photo. Weddings have a rhythm and timing that only a dedicated photographer understands, and he will know how to capture every minute of the story unveiling on your most special day. How can you know if a photographer is the best fit for a couple? Click with him from the very beginning. Let yourself be carried by his images and keep in mind that his experience will help him capture your personality.
Remember he’ll be with you, side by side, on one of the most important days of your life and you’ll have to let him guide you. How do you get ready for a casual photo shoot? Use the clothes you like most, that make you feel attractive, relaxed and playful. Don’t be intimated by the camera. Have fun and enjoy it. We take care of the rest. What makeup advice do you have for brides? Select your makeup according to your personality. It’s very important for the base to be as close as pos¬sible to your skin color and to be matte. We recommend you use correctors to highlight your features. Take into account that photographic makeup needs to be heavier even if it’s natural. We recommend less gloss everywhere, and to always use false eyelashes, since these will high¬light and frame the expression of your eyes.

DANCE ALL NIGHT Interview with Armando García Castilleja owner of BLISS BY RAMINTA LILAITE-PHOTO BLISS
interview
His work is to create a perfect music ambiance at weddings How did you start your wedding music business and how did it develop into BLISS company? Music has always been my passion. I have been to many weddings myself as a guest, and I started noticing that something was often not right with the atmosphere. At that moment, I also realized how important music was to me. I noticed that sometimes it was so loud that nobody could talk. Other times, the equipment - huge speakers, for example - would block the gorgeous beach view. Yet on some other occasions the music selection would be perfect, but the song order would be wrong, and some good songs would be played at the end and go by unnoticed. This is how I decided this was an opportunity for me create fun and entertaining weddings and to make sure that guests are never able to stop dancing. Of course, it also helped that our team was very focused and dedicated, interested to be the best in our industry of wedding music. This desire to the best and constant search for excellence has distinguished us for ten years after we have started as BLISS company.
The best music Do you play the same music at all the weddings? Do you have a playlist? (Laughing) Of course we do not have any playlists, how could you even think of playing the same kind of music at every wedding? Each wedding is different - there are some with guests from all over the world, then there are weddings with mostly young people, and others with guests of different ages, so you have to be always reading the crowd to make sure everybody enjoys the party. And certainly, we also have to pay attention to what the newlyweds like, because each couple is special and never the same, so we usually spend a whole afternoon with them in my showroom, listening to different types of music. That’s how I learn about they like, and it becomes my music guide for their wedding. I have been to many weddings, and at some guests never want to stop dancing, while at the others the ambiance doesn’t inspire people to dance at all. How do you make sure that the wedding party is fun
for everyone? You are right and most of the ambiance depends on each newlywed couple. Every couple makes their own stamp on their wedding party, and that stamp is very contagious - if they are happy and can’t stop dancing, that’s how their guests will feel, too. Another important factor is the selection of the music, and when you succeed in creating the right effect with what you’re playing, the result is explosive joy. I feel that I have done a good job when I feel that kind of energy during a wedding. Since there are so many options in the market, which factors do you think the couple should consider before selecting music/ DJ for their wedding? Yes, there are many options! Some of them are very affordable, while others could be really expensive, and that surely depends on the quality of the equipment, the experience with weddings and other details. However, one of the most important things to consider is the ability of a DJ to select the songs and to play them at the right time.
A good DJ will work with you to create a concept of your soundtrack, and will decipher your type of the wedding, so that all your guests will dance and will not want to stop. So the most important thing to consider is to check if there really is a proposal from your DJ and if you agree with it. Another important factor to keep in mind are the details: for how long will the DJ play? Is the ceremony in the open air? Will there be a soundtrack? Will a microphone be used? If there is a cocktail reception before, will there be music? All these things are important, because it often happens that a couple thinks all is perfect, only to find out during their wedding that many things are missing, and that affects their final budget. Do you remember that I have met you at a wedding where the bride was Mexican and the groom was Swiss? At this wedding (as well as many others) the guests were of different ages and cultures. What is your secret to make everybody dance all night? I I definitely remember this wedding, it was a lot
of fun! When we play at international weddings here in Mexico, there is one thing to remember we are in Mexico, and the guests have come here to enjoy themselves and our culture. We cannot look for something that sounds good for every country - instead, we have to warmly welcome the foreigners to Mexico and to show them how we have fun here in our country, how we dance and what kind of music we like. This is much more interesting to them, and that’s the secret. What is it that BLISS does differently? Music is a big passion for us, so we do all we can to guarantee absolute enjoyment for everyone. We also seek to become friends of the newlyweds, so that they can spread the word about who made them dance till the morning on their wedding night. Do you have any advice for couples that are about to get married? I wish them the time of their lives! They should let their wedding night flow naturally, and everything else will fall into place.

WHAT
COMES AFTER
“YES, I DO”? T BY CATY GÓMEZ
.hey got married and lived happily ever after… That’s the typical end of most fairy tales, novels and love stories. As surprising as it may seem, we often think that the wedding is the consummation of a relationship, and lose sight of its real meaning - the beginning of a new phase, the beginning of the real union.
What can you do to create this real union in your marriage where both of you can be happy forever after? - You may be asking yourself.
I will share with you something I have learned a few years ago. Getting back to fairy tales… when we get married, we marry our Prince, and this means we are his Princess. So after the marriage you become the Queen, and as a Queen, you should be treated like one. If you’re not, you should COMMUNICATE this to your King. Yes, your KING. He should be treated like one, so he may then see and treat you as his QUEEN until the end of his days. First comes the ADAPTATION phase, one that most people find difficult… I don’t agree that it should be that difficult, because if you get married while you are in love, excited, and - not less importantly - knowing how to take on your new role as the QUEEN, it is a wonderful phase where everything is milk and honey!. Then comes a new phase where the butterflies you felt in your stomach each time he approached you, looked at you or touched you start to decrease in intensity, giving birth to a new kind of love. It’s a mature and solid love where admiration, affinity and comprehension will begin to grow, just as both of you will. I dare to assure that this is where true love begins… Today, you two are on a blank page and the script depends on both of you. The only thing I can say is that marriage is something worth living for, and that he will be by your side only if you want him to. So if you want him to be happy with you, treat him with LOVE and RESPECT, and from here you can achieve anything you want - just try and see!
Congratulations.. 118 MEXICO WEDDING MAG
