Neighbourhood the 3rd floor of a beautiful Haussmann building.this bright apartment of 315m2 located on rue du Cirque, offers a clear view, both in a pretty courtyard garden and on this iconic street of the 8th district of Paris. Coveted for its exceptional location, the street Circus is at the epicenter of the Faubourg saint Honore Hotel Bristol, in the avenue Gabriel with Hotel la reserve and one of the most beautiful avenues in the world: Champs elysées. the area is very demanded as, it is the most secure neighborhood of Paris, because of its proximity to the elysee Palace and the ministry of interior.
the 8th district also has many stores of Haute Coutures and art galleries, like art Homes and Gérard Faivre, for whom art has become a way of expressing himself. Apartment in this apartment, Gérard Faivre defined his version of luxury. it creates a dialogue with boldness and subtlety, art and matter. He favors noble materials such as marble, velvet or silk. He manages to use refined way the shades of gold, it declines on objects, furniture and walls, while remaining sober. His creativity, renewed without ceasing, sign a tinted realization of sumptuousness.
this unique achievement, this luxury custom, designed as a work of art, will charm its future buyer. special attention was given to the entrance, first visual contact, which prepares us for the tone of the painting that GĂŠrard Faivre is preparing to introduce us to. the color palette "black and gold", the refinement of the wall covering at arte and the marble table gives both a classic and a contemporary style . the living room is divided into two distinct areas. their common is elegance, expressed by the subtle blend of contemporary design furniture and expertise of Gerard Faivre. in the dining area, a table is ready to host a large number of guests. the reception that could continue in the living room, facing the fireplace. the shape of the table and the sofa, worked in velvet harmoniously with the whole apartment. the original oak library revisited by Gerard Faivre. it opens signs, illuminates the windows and , wood is sublimated by the artist Gilles dupuis, a showcase for the books and objects it hosts the orange lighting reflects on the leather Poltronafrau armchairs and it gives a rather masculine atmosphere, a "feline" look with the panther and leopard sculptures of Patrick villas.

disciplinary practice Studioilse in 2001.
This sensitivity-driven approach is evident even in her earlier works, with the Soho House Group. For ten years, she lent her talents to this international network of exclusive private clubs, hotels, restaurants and spas. During that time, she also completed a great number of projects: a restaurant, Cecconi’s, and the club of the Electric Cinema, both in London, the Babington House hotel in Somerset, the Soho House hotel, in New York City. All of them are evocative examples of her philosophy, to create environments where people feel comfortable, spaces that make sense for those that will use them - to create a frame for life. This idea, to enhance the human experience, she applies to public spaces, private homes, products and commercial projects. In 2008, for the first Aesop shop in London, she decided to focus on creating an intimate atmosphere, while highlighting the historical dimension of the building’s architecture with thoughtful contemporary accents.

At Salone del Mobile, Studioilse unveiled ‘Perching’ a family of stools designed in collaboration with Artifort. As for interior projects, Studioilse completed the rst Aesop shop in Copenhagen in April and Cathay Pacific’s business class lounge in Hong Kong opens in May. In September, Ilse Crawford will be named Designer of the Year by MAISON&OBJET PARIS. As such, she is in charge of designing the Designers’ Studio, a work and networking space located in Hall 8 of the Parc des Expositions Paris Nord Villepinte.
Awards and honours As a designer, an art director, a curator, a lecturer and an author of three books (Sensual Home, Home Is Where the Heart Is, and A Frame for Life), Ilse Crawford was made a member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (MBE) by Queen Elizabeth II in 2014, for her services to interior design. Sophie Jacqmin Interior Designer Sophie Jacqmin Presents Bistro de l’Arc, An Epicure’s Heaven
Bistro de l’Arc, situated near the Arc de Triomphe and Place de l’Etoile in Paris’ chic 16th arrondissement, called upon the expertise of French interior designer Sophie Jacqmin for its decor. Based on the concept of bistronomy, Bistro de l’Arc reinvents dishes and avours from traditional French cuisine with a menu that changes daily according to seasonal produce. Open from Monday to Saturday from 7am to 2am, this new bistro offers an innovative and rich menu in an elegant ambiance created by Sophie Jacqmin. For the interior design, she revisited, with nesse, the codes of a classic bistro using noble materials such as brass and marble. The space is a chic setting that mixes classic decor with a touch of eccentricity including design elements that evoke cinema, jazz music and poetry.
36
The quality and origin of the seasonal produce correspond to the bistro’s respect for nature and the environment by focusing on sustainable farming and seasonality, all of which is orchestrated by Angie Fouquoire, an up-and-coming young chef who’s trained at the best restaurants in Paris such as Maison Blanche, Plaza Athénée and Hôtel de crillon. Sophie Jacqmin imagined Bistro de l’Arc as the spot to go to at any hour with its warm and inviting atmosphere that’s perfect for all occasions whether it be a business lunch, dinner with friends or a glass of wine accompanied by a cigar on the terrace. For the pleasure of the eyes as well as the palate, Bistro de l’Arc is undoubtedly the new hostpot for interior design enthusiasts and gourmets alike.

The English House range is that rare thing in light fittings – stylish, but without imposing a “style on the room or the building. Designed with a classical simplicity, the lights are equally at home in every period of building from Tudor manor to minimalist modern studio, and from intimate sitting room to large public space. They are the creation of Charles Morris, a designer with a national reputation for country houses and the best in domestic architecture. Like his buildings, these light fittings have been designed to combine the best qualities of traditional form and materials with a subtle contemporary touch.

NormandyKirei Barriere Studio The hotel was built in 1912 in the traditional style of the Anglo-Norman manor complete with pastel green timbering. As part of the renovation plan, the hotel sought to preserve the authenticity of its history by keeping with the tradition of the Toile de Jouy pattern, while also transforming the rooms to something befitting of the hotel’s five star standard The five following rooms - the Chambre Deluxe Mer Club, Chambre Deluxe Terrasse Club, Chambre Deluxe Normande Club, Suite Delux Terrasse and Suite Presidentielle – designed by Kirei Studio were all decorated with the Toile de Jouy pattern, varying in their colours to make each room individually unique.
THE PATTERnS OF THE TOIlES DE JOuy WERE MADE In cOllABORATIOn WITH A FABRIc SPEcIAlIST In ORDER FOR THEM TO BE OF THE uTMOST DElIcAcy.
The bathrooms were completely renovated with classic white floors and black cabochons or a mosaic work of beige marble. The antique gold lacquered wash basins, combined with the caramel wooden wall units give a contemporary touch in this classic atmosphere.
The suite “Un homme et Une femme” was designed based on the 1966 French film of the same name. The original pattern of the Toile de Jouy, known as “le Delice des 4 Saisons”, was reinterpreted for this room with an approach to the colour sepia. This colour was chosen specifically to hint to the moods of the film, which was shot mostly in black and white The headboard is identical to the one in the film, along with the two night stands. The classic black and white bathroom has a few contemporary touches, such as the iridescent golden lacquer of the wash basins, which completes this room. The adjoining living room, decorated with a sofa of soft pink accents, harmonizes the suites colour palette while giving it light and romance. The walls are covered with photos from the movie, bringing this suite back in time for a romantic weekend getaway. www.kirei-studio.com

The advantages of laser technology in architectural model making Trotec Laser is internationally recognised as the leading manufacturer of computer controlled laser machines for laser marking, cutting and engraving. When creating detailed architectural models, laser technology offers users a number of benefits over other technologies. Trotec lasers are able to create detailed geometric shapes with a high level of precision using a variety of materials including wood, acrylic and polystyrene, as well as other materials frequently used in the construction of architectural models. The preparation of materials is one of the biggest advantages that laser machines hold over other methods, as the material does not need to be clamped while cutting. Due to the clean cut of the laser there is no need to clean or polish the material after cutting, enabling faster processing times.
As easy to use as a regular printer, Trotec machines print layouts directly from the construction program. The high quality axis drive and intelligent routing of air flow ensures consistent optimal engraving and cutting results. To explore the benefits to your business of owning a Trotec laser machine you can contact us to arrange a free, no obligation demonstration at one of our six regional showrooms throughout the UK and Ireland. For more information about Trotec’s range of laser machines or to book your free demonstration, call us on 0191 580 1182 or email sales@troteclaser.co.uk quoting reference number 6454.

Unveils Its New Parisian Showroom In The Exclusive 8th Arrondissement In Paris, On Boulevard Haussmann. Fort Royal was founded to bring exceptional artisans together within one brand, to support and help French heritage thrive. The French savoir-faire is part of the tradition, lifestyle and legacy that is coveted by the entire world. The Fort Royal group is proud to showcase the most sophisticated creations by its world leading artisans. leaving the Bastille area and moving to Boulevard Haussmann is the next logical step in the group’s journey. With the arrival of the fifth artisan BÊtemps, Fort Royal needed a more spacious showroom to exhibit their extraordinary artisanal metalwork. The aim is to establish Fort Royal in this exclusive district, home of renowned architects and interior design firms, with whom the group already collaborates or plans to in the near future. The new address brings Fort Royal closer to its mainly foreign clients who are used to Parisian palaces.
61
This showroom is the perfect meeting point for the group to welcome clients and introduce them to its wealth of expertise. The new Fort Royal space covers a total of 130m over two floors: a ground floor and basement. The interior has been designed by the Fort Royal team with a classic and elegant approach. White walls, chevron parquet flooring in the gallery and a piece of solid marble in the hallway set the tone. The artisan pieces on display accessorise and decorate the space. The iconic "château de Versailles" tree boxes by Jardins du Roi Soleil stand inside and out, an Alcine orange tree box here, a ceramic vase and Marie-Antoinette bench there. The classical banister rails and handrails in the showroom are designed by the artisanal metalworker BÊtemps to showcase their expertise.

craman lagarde presents some of its classical, art deco and contemporary pieces in the main room, solely devoted to its stunning marquetry. The furniture will be refreshed on a regular basis to unveil a wide range of the artisan cabinetmaker’s collection. The basement is home to an armoury department exhibiting beautiful guns and rifles by Darne for the discerning client to admire. last but not least, the showroom presents pieces by master glassmaker Atelier Simon Marq. Two backlit stained glass panels adorn the hallway walls.
The Pompéi screen takes pride of place in the main room. Fort Royal strives to support its companies by focusing on knowledge transfer and team development by actively increasing its global reach. This philosophy is funded mainly by its own resources to avoid any unreasonable debt which may affect its long-term objectives. The group’s economic goals are reflected in its most recent acquisition, Bétemps artisanal metalwork. The group plans to continue to expand in 2016 in terms of achieving double figure growth in its current business and developing its acquisition plan.

Servicing not only reduces the down cost of the business but can also reduce the servicing cost as a Rinnai water heater can be fully serviced and back operating within one hour. If a unit fails and needs replacing, this can be done in a couple of hours and a bank of heaters maintains the facility to provide hot water, albeit at a slightly reduced capacity, while one of the heaters is down. According to Rinnai UK Associate Director Chris Goggin: “Because a Rinnai Infinity hot water system draws water directly from the mains and only heats the water needed at the time there is no need to incorporate a storage vessel in the system. “The configuration of the Rinnai system is supportive of reliability, as it incorporates built-in redundancy, multiple heat engines therefore a percentage of the system is always in operation ensuring no downtime. Conversely, if you have a cylinder and you need to service it, or it breaks down, you are left with nothing but a standing body of water. And Legionella can breed in a standing body of water. “Rinnai gives large consumers of water the added benefit of maintaining operation by using multiple heaters; let’s say three so the total system is made up 33.3% by each heater. Tectona
Presents Its New Collections For 2016 each piece is manufactured in respect to the techniques of re ned craftsmanship, meeting the requirements of quality, comfort and aesthetics – all elements of the brand’s signature today. in constant pursuit of innovation, Tectona regularly collaborates with renowned designers thus expanding its range of iconic and resolutely contemporary pieces. The brand also designs its own collections to satisfy its loyal clientele.
christophe Declourt creates new designs for the iconic copacabana collection: a chaise longue, table, bench and chair. These innovative designs are minimalist, timeless, elegant, reflecting the image of the designer as well as the brand Tectona. The chaise longue provides optimal comfort thanks to its generous seat pro- portions in batyline® canvas as well as its adjustable backrest to ten different positions. just as comfortable as it is functional, this chaise longue has a smart storage space underneath to protect towels or books from nearby splashing water.
This folding table is practical and ingenious as the individual tables can be connected together to form a long dinner table. its pure lines with rounded edges are reminiscent of the copacabana chairs. foldable, comfortable and solid, this bench and chair combination can be combined with any table. The flexible and resistant seats provide comfort without any need for cushions.
71 for the past fteen years christophe Declourt has collaborated with Tectona creating eight outdoor furniture ranges, some of which are among the best-sellers of the brand such as Shanghai, exeter and copacabana. it is through his contact with skilled artisans of a traditional savoir-faire that this designer has developed his knowledge of wood and its assembly techniques. His designs, in uenced by classical references, continue to blossom. A lover and connoisseur of ne materials, Delcourt designs in favour of pure and essential lines aiming for the right balance of proportions. christophe Delcourt likes to de ne a piece of furniture as a “longterm investment, a companion for life,â€? which is why he seeks to incorporate comfort in all of his designs. The bivouac lamp, designed by goliath, revolutionises outdoor lighting. equipped with a solar panel and high performance leD, it has a long battery life with a strong intensity. The diffused white light can be adjusted to four different levels of intensity. in 2009, goliath Dyèvre created his design studio with Quentin vaulot. At the end of 2014, he began his solo work after four months of in house training with the kujoyama villa in japan. A project, which was created in collaboration with pewter artisan Seikado and gilder manuela Paul-cavallier, was presented at the museum of Decorative Arts in Paris in june 2015. The lausanne bench is an interpretation of the glenwood bench in teak wood. in an effort to modernise this iconic piece, Tectona called upon ecAl (university of Art and Design in lausanne) choosing the expertise of Anthony guex to execute this project.
This young designer met the challenge by combining aluminium with wood. The metal element redraws the silhouette of this bench giving it a true lightweight feeling all while maintaining its classic style. it can be created in different colours. Anthony guex is a young Swiss designer who graduated from ecAl (ecAl university of Art and Design in lausanne), which is among the most prestigious universities in the world. He worked as a cabinetmaker for seven years before returning to his studies where he became interested in furniture design useful for everyday life. inspired by benches from the nineteenth century, the Ottavia bench is an elegant and timeless piece that naturally blends into any outdoor space. its aluminium legs, finely crafted to resemble bamboo, combine harmoniously with the clean design of the backrest and seat in teak. The pyramid serves as a support for climbing plants to create a plant sculpture in any garden. The solidity of the teak guarantees the quality and durability of this piece. The structure is also secured to the ground by its four long stakes. inspired by the madeleine castaing bench, the 1800 collection by Tectona features a varied selection of products in blue-grey lacquered aluminium with its characteristically refined details. This year, Tectona completes the collection with outdoor cushions and new furniture pieces. www.tectona.net

Veedon Fleece This spring, Veedon Fleece delivered two hand knotted runners for GF Watts' original studio at Limnerslease House, recently restored by the Watts Gallery in Compton, Surrey. An interesting design brief led to the recreation of two Mughul Indian inspired designs, one designed as a complete runner, the other as if it had been formed as a fragment from a larger 17th Century carpet. The strict arrangement of the new studio gallery meant that the carpets had to complement and then follow the original interior plan. The interesting point is to see how the carefully coloured and proportionally designed runners mellow along with the interior over the next 100 years. We are delighted with the initial response from the gallery “All our volunteers and so many of our visitors have been really impressed by them. We’ve even had a couple of instances when visitors have thought they are original and been reluctant to stand on them, so a complete success” Kerri Offord at The Watts Gallery www.wattsgallery. org.uk Veedon Fleece – Manufacturers of carpets and rugs to your design specification. 01483 575758 www.veedonfleece.com

Tattoo Edition Montblanc Secret Adornment
With the unveiling of Secret Adornment, montblanc brings the strength of tattoo craftsmanship to its leather goods offering a new form of personalisation that uses the inner part of a Sfumato leather briefcase flap as a canvas for artistic expression through contemporary Arts and crafts. On the outside, the blue briefcase exudes classic elegance through the patina of the Sfumato leather, but on the inside hidden from sight, a secret piece of contemporary art awaits. Only visible on the inner part of montblanc briefcases, the Secret Adornment reveals the finest tattoo craftsmanship using extravagant yet refined artistry to create a very personal and intimate experience for its owner. Through the virtuosity of tattoo art , montblanc gives an unexpected edge to the classical elegance of Sfumato briefcases as well as offering the opportunity to carry a piece of art all along the way as a precious daily companion. limited to just 30 pieces, every briefcase will feature the initials of the owner integrated into the hand tattooed design. “Tattoos have been etched onto skin with ink since the beginning of time,” explains montblanc creative Director Zaim kamal. “With its heritage in the culture of writing it is no surprise that montblanc chose the Art of Tattoo as the first precious handcraft to be staged inside its briefcases.
Originally used in ancient times as amulets or talismans, tattoos have become the ultimate form of artistic self-expression While initiated millenniums ago, these elaborate works of art have never lost their appeal nor their relevance through the centuries, and resonate more than ever as a perfect blend of modernism, tradition and artistry.” With ink as a bond between the world of fine writing and the world of tattooing, montblanc renewed its collaboration with one of the most talented tattoo artists of his generation, mo coppoletta. The italian artist based in london, is also one of the very few to master the delicate art of tattooing on leather as it easily stains, cuts, bruises. Therefore every stroke of the tattoo machine needs to be decisive yet delicate at the same time. mo coppoletta individually hand-etched every leather piece using genuine montblanc ink.
Three different Secret Adornment creations have been hand tattooed by the artist, all inspired by montblanc’s 110th year heritage. The first motif features an undulating serpent evoking the original design of a serpent clip on the montblanc “Rouge et noir” writing instrument, the maison’s first fountain pen series, which was the inspiration behind this year’s Heritage Rouge&noir collection. The sensual serpent was a recurring motif in art and design during the Art nouveau period. in the second masterpiece, a magnificent hot air balloon takes centre stage as a tribute to the pioneering spirit of montblanc’s founders. it was after travelling across oceans and continents, where they witnessed many awe-inspiring innovations that the maison’s founders were inspired to reimagine the art of writing and introduce new writing instruments to the world. The third and most elaborate artwork, the ultimate in personalisation, depicts the world map, a reference to the maison’s appeal and presence in more than 120 countries. The Secret Adornment – Tattoo edition line will be limited to 30 pieces. every briefcase can be ordered on demand based on a delivery time of 3 months. for further information, visit www.montblanc.com
