Our broad range of programming is back again this year as we celebrate our 24th season. We continue to be sustained by the enthusiasm and support of our patrons, volunteers, donors, and artists. You help make Newberry one of the most exciting destinations for entertainment in the region and we know that we would not be here without you. Thank you! As we look toward this season, we are excited to bring back some of our favorites, introduce new productions, and do what it is that we do well: providing an intimate, world class-entertainment experience in this quaint, historic theater. seating chart safety protocols

Some performances this season will remain at one price while others are priced at three tiers. The seating chart is subject to change.

Please review the updated safety protocols before purchasing tickets. We ask that if you are feeling ill or have been around someone who is ill, please do not attend performances.

During performances, some guests like to let the music move them. If this is distracting to you, consider the orchestra boxes or balcony seating when purchasing tickets. Please remember dancing in the aisles is not permitted due to fire code. Let the music move you!

Students are defined as children 18 and under or a college student with ID.

Buy at least 4 performances in one order and save! Apply the MakeYourOwn discount at check-out.

get a group and go

Save $5 on each ticket when you buy 10 or more tickets in one order (with a single point of contact for communication and payment). This qualifies for special discounts to Newberry Opera House productions. Put your tickets on a courtesy hold with a non-refundable, non-transferable deposit of 50%. Final numbers and payment are due approximately one month before your scheduled visit.

Admission

Building doors and seating will open approximately 45 minutes prior to the performance. There is NO ENTRY prior to that time. Only one door will be open for entry (Boyce St. next to Memorial Park under the NOH canopy). Tickets will be scanned at the entrance door. Late seating will be at the discretion of management.

Special services

The Opera House is accessible to all. Please notify the Box Office when ordering tickets to ensure services and accessible seating. Please let the Box Office staff know how they can assist you at the time of your order.

A ticket is required for entry--regardless of age. A ticket is a revocable license, subject to denial of admission at management’s discretion. The resale or attempted resale of a Newberry Opera House ticket is prohibited. Tickets obtained from unauthorized sources are VOID. To better serve you, the Newberry Opera House has many ways to purchase tickets: •

Please be scam aware and verify that you are on the correct site. NOH is not liable for any charges incurred on another website. When purchasing tickets, there are three options of receiving them. If you would like your tickets e-mailed to you, we do ask that you print the attached PDF and it bring with you to the show to ensure quicker seating. You may also have your tickets mailed directly to your home and when available, pick up your tickets the night of show at Will Call.

Fees

When purchasing tickets online or by telephone a $5 per ticket Facility Fee and a $5 per order Handling Fee will be charged. For orders placed in person at the Box Office, the $5 handling fee is waived. If you choose to have tickets delivered directly to your home, there is an additional $3 per order Shipping Fee.

Guests may purchase gift cards through the Box Office or online at NewberryOperaHouse.com. Gift cards can be mailed, e-mailed, or even sent by text as a gift to a third party. If lost, they will not be replaced. Gift cards have no cash value. They are good for 5 years from the date of issuance.. If a show is postponed or cancelled, ticket buyers can request one of four options until 48 hours prior to the new show date. You may keep your tickets for the new date, exchange them for another show, donate the value of your tickets, or receive a NOH gift card/credit for the value of your tickets.

Discounts

The Newberry Opera House may discount shows throughout the season and has two discount sales, Penelope’s 12 Deals of Christmas and March Madness. Please note that discount codes cannot be combined and are not retroactive.

Sanctified is a lively, entertaining musical, kept afloat by the strength of playwright Javon Johnson’s well-crafted characters, a great cast of amazing singers, updated arrangements of traditional church songs, and some nicely arranged original tunes by composer Rollo A. Dilworth and musical director Raymond D. Reeder. Sanctified is a musical comedy that pokes fun at the comical characters and peculiar personalities all choir members must sometimes endure in trying to sing praises to the Lord. It will have you roaring with laughter. You might recognize Javon from BET’s “The Oval” where he plays Richard Hallsen. Tickets: $10
