That beautiful, familiar scent the shrimps produced while being stir fried in the kitchen somehow stimulates anyone’s appetite. It really works wonders. Every time we serve this recipe at home, we end up with clean plates and no left-over’s. HOME’S CLASSIC SHRIMP STIR FRY: This recipe can be prepared in thirty minutes but is only cooked in 10 minutes. The original recipe can yield four to six servings, depending on the size of serving per person. Remember that this is a very delectable dish and your diners might want a second serving. So you can add a few pieces of shrimps for them. Enjoy and have fun in your kitchens. WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE: • 1 tablespoon butter • 1 tablespoon olive oil • 2 pounds jumbo shrimp, please peel and devein but leave tails on • 4 cloves garlic, minced • 2 large zucchini, diced • 2 large ears of corn, please remove kernels • 3/4 cup red grape tomatoes, please slice in half but lengthwise • 3/4 cup yellow grape tomatoes, please slice in half but lengthwise • Salt and freshly ground black pepper • 12 to 18 fresh basil leaves, chopped finely or shredded • Parmesan shavings • Juice of 1 lemon • Rice or pasta, for serving, optional HOW TO MAKE IT: • Begin by cooking your rice according to the package instructions. If you are using pasta, cook them also according to the package instruction and reserve. Then prepare all the ingredients according to the instruction ion the ingredient’s list. • Begin frying by melting the butter with the olive oil in a large skillet or wok over a medium-high flame on your American stove. • Then add the shrimps plus the garlic and sauté until the shrimps are opaque for about three minutes. • Remove the shrimps to a plate. • Remount you wok and increase the heat to high and throw in the zucchini. • Then stir fry for about 45 seconds before you add the zucchini to the edges of the pan. • Then throw in the corn and cook for a minute. Push the ingredients to the edges of the pan. • Add in the grape tomatoes and stir fry for a minute. Sprinkle salt and pepper to taste and mix all the veggies together. • Then add the shrimps back to the pan. Stir fry everything for about 45 seconds until combined and hot. • Transfer the dish to a big platter. • Garnish it with the fresh basil plus some Parmesan shavings.
