Service S Ronald McDonald House Decorating Submitted by Mimi Mayer, CCA Key Club This year’s annual Ronald McDonald House decorating was absolutely magical! It was so nice to see everyone from the division come together to do service together and bring holiday cheer to families that may otherwise have a hard time during the holidays due to their children’s sickness. We also had Key Clubbers from other divisions come to help out, including D37E, D37W, and D21! We were able to completely deck out the whole place and it looked amazing when we were done. Seeing the kids playing in the courtyard we had decorated was so adorable because it seemed to make their day, and overall it was a great way to bring the K-family and community together for a great cause!

Spotlight Mochitsuki Festival Submitted by Megan Sparrow, Torrey Pines Key Club I had the opportunity to go the Mochisuki event with some fellow Key Club members. This was a fun event that allowed my to meet new people and help the community. From 6 in the morning to 3 in the afternoon, we helped set up the mochi stations and worked at the drying stations. We fanned, dusted, and prepped mochi for sale at the Buddhist temple. It was a fun way to interact with other community service groups apart from our own in order to help the religious community. I would definitely recommend this event to anyone wanting to help local organizations. I am so glad that I was able to help with the organization since it is a very fun event and that involved helping those around me.
