Hey Red Bulls, Can we continue our blistering rate of service? For the past two months, we’ve served over 3000 hours combined. Let’s keep that amazing rate up as we start getting into the end of the year! This is a prime time for service events, featuring elementary school carnivals, Halloween themed events, and later – Thanksgiving and holiday service projects! Please make it to our October DCM this Sunday, October 25th at Felicita Park starting at 11:30AM. It’ll be a joint DCM, lunch and Olympics with our fellow Key Clubbers over in D37E. The event is Avatar: The Last Air Bender themed! Be sure to bring your A-game to the Olympics and be ready for the opportunity to meet other Key Clubbers from our division! If that doesn’t get you excited, don’t forget that Fall Rally South will be taking place on Satuday, November 15th at Six Flags Magic Mountain. Please contact your club officers for information on how to attend this extremely fun filled day to support PTP! Remember that you’ll be able to pick up preordered shirts at the October and November DCMs, as well as Fall Rally. We will have some additional shirts available for a donation if you did not preorder! Stomping for service, Michael Zhang

Bunnyfest By: Sara Wang Rancho Bernardo High School Upon reaching Balboa for the annual BunnyFest hosted by the House Rabbit Society, members were not faced with a plethora of rabbits, but rather an army of unopened tents. The many volunteers at this event helped set up the various booths the event required. The HRS had overtaken a small park near Balboa Park and rabbit pens, a game booth, and the merchandise stand all had to be set up before people started to arrive with their furry friends. The jobs varied and different booth workers instructed volunteers. The main focus point of this event was to raise donations for the House Rabbit Society, so the booth workers (and also volunteers of the Society) made it a competition to see whose booth could raise the most. As a side effect, Key Club members were put to work on Hawaiianthemed decorations on some booths so that the tents could attract more attention from the crowd. The atmosphere of the event was very friendly and relaxed as both booth workers and attendants were familiar with each other from previous events. At Bunny Games, volunteers at only one booth could choose to work at any event and owners could submit their bunnies to competition in races or an eating competition. Older rabbits underwent the eating race, and members were able to easily pet the rabbits with their owner's permission in this case. Other volunteers handed out stickers to the all the human individuals in the bunny-filled crowd in order to help with attendance count. BunnyFest was a very random and exciting event, and was certainly cleaner than most animal events! After finishing their volunteering hours, members were free to explore ! ! Balboa Park. !

Feeding America By: Dimei Wu Torrey Pines High School ! !

For this event, we met up at Torrey Pines at 8:40, and then we went to the Feeding America warehouse together. Originally, there were only supposed to be three of us, but the people who were supposed to go to the Bubble Run joined us, since their event got cancelled. Our main task was to pack cans of soup. Five people sorted the cans into cardboard boxes, two were writing labels, and two taped the boxes and taped labels on them. I was one of the people who taped the boxes and labels. This was probably the only event I've been to where we were actually doing something for the whole time. After finishing that, we cleaned up and took a group photo before we left.

Bubble Run By: Eric Chen Westview High School

Bubble Run was a unique run that replaced messy cornstarch powder with colorful, clean bubble foams that runners and volunteers could all enjoy! All the way down in Chula Vista, volunteers were assigned to a variety of ‘Foam Bog’ stations such as Red, Blue, Yellow, Green and Blue. Climbing into the back of a U-Haul truck (slightly sketchy), we were transferred to our stations along the course and given different tasks to perform. From encouraging runners to controlling the flow of the foam to breaking down the station at the end, volunteers enjoyed the bubbly foam and all the runners that passed by. All in all, the event was a massive success with over 20 volunteers attending and numerous Instagram selfies to post! !
