Benefits of Converting Your Car to Evans Waterless Coolant

The primary objective of installing Evans waterless coolant is to eliminate many problems associated with water in conventional water-based cooling systems, while increasing reliability and engine life.

Evans waterless coolants offer several benefits to save you money, time, and engine wear. •

No Corrosion: With the absence of water, Evans waterless coolants prevent the root cause of metal corrosion.

No Erosion: Evans coolants remain in liquid form and do not vaporize, preventing the “pitting” caused by water vapor.

No Overheating: With a boiling point of 375ºF compared to only 226ºF for water-based antifreeze, Evans Waterless Coolant remain in their liquid form, for constant 69’ Camaro Z28 owned by the American Muscle Car Museum. Even under extreme conditions, Evans will eliminate boil-over. The conversion process is not complicated, but to ensure optimal benefits, directions should be followed thoroughly. Low Pressure: Evans coolants will not form vapor, build pressure, and will remain in liquid form. This prevents high pressure stress on cooling system components such as hoses, pump seals and radiator seams and extends the life of cooling system components.

Basic Installation Procedure: 1. Drain all old water-based coolant out from radiator, block, and heater core if accessible.

No Freezing: Evans coolants have natural antifreeze properties down to -40°F. Without water, Evans contracts - rather than expand like water – and prevents freeze bursts.

2. Use high volume air to force out remaining coolant

No Periodic Flushing: Evans coolants do not degrade and are designed to provide an extended service.

4. Allow to cool and drain out Prep Fluid in same manner as old water-based coolant.

The conversion from a water-based antifreeze to Evans is a straightforward process that can be undertaken by anyone with some basic experience in engine mechanics, provided the instructions are adhered to. An important part of a good installation is using Evans Prep Fluid, which is specifically formulated to purge remaining water-based antifreeze from the system after initial drain. Prep Fluid is not formulated to chemically clean the engine of rust and scale, but the process of circulation and draining will help remove any loose sediment and old coolant.

3. Fill with Evans Prep Fluid (waterless flush) and run for 15 minutes to circulate.

5. Fill with Evans Waterless Coolant and run for 15 minutes to circulate. Top off as necessary. 6. Test for water content to confirm less than 3% water. Water content can be measured with a refractometer or a sample can be sent to Evans for testing. QUICK GUIDE TO EVANS WATERLESS PRODUCTS: High Performance Waterless Coolant: For cars, and light duty trucks. Also for use in boats, light aircraft, light duty diesels, LP and CNG engines. Powersports Waterless Coolant: For use in motorcycles, ATV’s, snowmobiles, and other off-road powersports applications. Prep Fluid: Used as a waterless flush to remove remaining water-based coolant from the cooling system prior to installing Heavy Duty Waterless Engine Coolant: For all heavy duty applications such as class 8 trucks, generators, and offhighway equipment. NPG Waterless Engine Coolant: For racing venues that allow propylene glycol-based coolants, but not ethylene glycol-based coolants. Not for general use. Adaptive equipment may be needed for specific high performance applications. CALL 401-965-9012 TO ADVERTISE
