FAST STRE ED YESSAIAN Over the past three years that I have been competing in New England Dragway’s Outlaw 10.50 series, I have met dozens of new friends that I now consider to be “family”. This New England Dragway family is a huge part of why the track continues to be successful year after year, as the racers are always there to help each other out. One of the racers, who I have become good friends with over the years, is Ron Pomerleau, who happens to have quite the collection of race cars, muscle cars, and street rods, all hand built in his own garage. I first met Ron when I was a spectator, watching my cousin Dave Nadeau and my good friend Bob Dugan compete in the Fast Street against him. After watching everyone else for a couple years, I eventually put a car together to compete in the True Street 12.50 division. It took me a while to get comfortable and win a couple races but once I got the hang of it, I started going rounds. That was great for competition’s sake but the only problem was I had only one Nitrous bottle on hand. That is until Ron Pomerleau came up to me during one of the races and gave me his spare

Ron Pomerleau’s Nine Second S10

bottle FULL of nitrous so I could continue the day. That’s one of those moments where you always remember how great it is to be part of this “racing family”. While obviously Ron is a great guy in the pits and off the track, don’t let his kindness fool you, on the track he is deadly consistent and will take no prisoners. Ron’s 600+hp wheelie popping Vega is one of my favorite cars in the Fast Street class and that car has quite a history behind it as well.

a spare 406ci small block that’s pushing over 600hp. According to Ron the motor has been as fast as a 9.80 in the Vega, so it should have no problem dishing out beatings in the 10.50 class. Backing up that pretty stout small block is an ATI Powerglide with a 180

But as many of you know, I’ve have always had a certain place in my heart for mini-truckin’ and I’ve also been thinking about putting together another street/strip S10 pickup. (I already had a 1995 S10 and a 2000 GMC Sonoma), so when I heard that Ron just picked up a 1985 S10, I obviously had to go check it out. Ron’s S10 started as a roller, but at some point had been a pretty serious turbo car. Ron has plans to make it a nasty street/strip terror and started with a trip to see Jon Sandahl at Tube Chassis Designs to confirm his eventual goal of grabbing an 8.50 chassis certification. Once the chassis work is accomplished, the S10 has quite the drivetrain waiting for it, as Ron already has

gearset, 5200 ATI converter, and a Hurst pistol grip shifter. Out back a Ford 9” is stuffed with 35 spline axles and 4.56 gears. Having power is great, but putting it down on the track requires a little attention to the suspension. Ron’s S10 received a complete tubular set-up with ladder bar rear and coilovers all around. When necessary, a Wilwood brake system brings things to a halt, and when necessary the truck is also packing a parachute just in case. Hiding those fancy brakes, at all four corners is a set of Centerline Convo Pro wheels, with the rears wrapped in Mickey Thompson D.O.T. slicks and the front wrapped in MT’s as well. With New Paul PetrOzzi England Dragway PrOPrietOr opening in less than two months, there’s going to be a bunch of people scrambling to get ready for opening day and also for Outlaw 10.50’s first race on Saturday April 23. Luckily for Ron Pomerleau he will have the Vega and the lic. #345 lic. #444 S10 both ready to fly

Pinstriping 101: The Beginner’s Hand LAURYN “HOTWHEELS” PONTIAC-VERNANCIO One of the most delicate arts you can learn to add a little pizzazz to your vehicle is the art of basic pinstriping. I don’t mean the handy dandy apply and stick technique either, but rather the hands down and dirty method of actually using paint. It is not an easy task, however with a few pieces of metal and a little bit of practice, you can start to make almost perfectly contoured lines to your liking. The first step is gathering your supplies and finding small brushes that you are comfortable with. Things you will need:

• Paint thinner or mineral spirits for cleaning brushes and thinning the paint. • Striping brushes such as Mack No.1, and Mack No.2. • 1Shot Pinstriping Paint (1Shot.com) • Metal or Plastic panels for practice • Rags for drying brushes and cleanup The first thing you will need to determine is the overall thickness of the paint in correspondence to your lines. If the weather is hot and humid, you will want to keep thinning the paint as you go as it will come out thick right out of the container and in warmer temperatures. Next, you will need to position yourself. This means positioning the tip of the brush and pulling backwards giving the same distance between your brush and your guide fingers. This will help you try to maintain space to locate your target on your panel. Remember that it will take two fingers to support your striping hand to follow your lines when there is no visible guide as to where a gap or body line may be. You will often want to use the two finger rule to measure from your free hand for the utmost accuracy. You might also need to change your direction and orientation for pattern consistency, and this means leading your brush into a turn by slightly twirling the handle as the line is pulled. For a longer design, it is also helpful to just make a centerline and branch off of that for direction as well. Keep in mind that with the more pressure you put onto the brush, the wider the line will be and that you might need to let off as you lines come to a halt although thicker lines will also help you hide any mistakes. Once you have finished your practice round there is always the uncanny cleanup! Thinner and rags will certainly help you keep your brushes in tip top shape without the fear of them drying out. It is also helpful to dip the brushes in 10W engine oil if you desire to keep the brushes points and straightness. JIM WEICHERDING Austin Beliveau’s 1969 Dodge Dart Swinger is quite an amazing Mopar when you find out how rare it really is when compared to a lot of Mopar Muscle cruising around New England this cruisin’ season. Other than looking like a generic base model Dodge Dart, this READERS RIDES features a 340 engine equipped with solid lifters and a 4-Speed transmission that shifts the gears on the blacktops across the region every summer. Austin told me that because his classic car is a 4-Speed and does not have power steering that you really have to drive this Mopar on our roadways. No comfort zone with this “little bomb” of a car as he calls it. He also told me that he has owned his fair share of Chevys in his day but he has always been a Mopar Man at heart so now it’s what he prefers to drive to the area car shows and cruise nights. He will be showcasing this cool little bomb at this year’s Cars of Summer Cruise Event this coming 4th of July Weekend in Worcester, Massachusetts.

This 1969 Dodge Dart Swinger boasts some great components and features such as an original 340 engine that has had no work done to it and the transmission is all original as well. The 8 3/4 rear end features 410 gears and gets the job done every time it heads onto any street, or highway. 14” stock wheels with a 4” bolt pattern and front disc brakes help stop this Mopar on a dime. There are no cruisin’ comforts like air conditioning, power windows and power steering. Austin told me you just hold on and go straight! It is just a lot of fun to drive. Austin said it took at least five years to restore his 1969 Dodge Dart Swinger to its current condition, but he expects to be doing more work to it to get this Mopar sleeper into the condition he wants in for more summers of cruisin’ New England in the years to come in the future.

NIGHT OF CHAMPIONS 2015 New England Dragway Awards Banquet

It is the first day that the track is officially closed before a long, cold, boring winter break. Of course many of us do have winter projects ahead of us, so we do get a bit of the car fix we need, but it’s still nothing like ripping it up down the 1320. There is also the many friends, or should I say FAMILY, that we are used to seeing every weekend during the summer. While we cross paths with a good number of them during the off season, there’s also many that we lose touch with until April, when the track reopens, unless of course we get our tickets to the annual NEW ENGLAND DRAGWAY AWARDS BANQUET! When we first entered the newly renovated Radisson Hotel in Nashua New Hampshire for the banquet, the first thing that came to mind was how many people were in attendance this year. Lauryn “Hotwheels” Pontiac-Vernancio It was rather intriguing to be invited to take upon such a valuable opportunity this past month that would be a once in a lifetime experience for us at Motorhead Magazine. We were very appreciative when a representative promoting Monster Jam contacted us asking if one of our writers would be interested in attending the event and judging the Monster Jam competition as there would be a different set up this year. How could I not say yes?!? By Saturday evening of the 20th of February, we were ready to rock, roll and set the pace for a night filled of extreme stunts and all over crazy off-road racing.

Upon entrance, we were directed to Section 101 and to seats that were the closest to the track where the audience would be able to view the scoring from the entire arena and on camera. It was quite the experience as we felt the rumbles through our seats and the dirt flinging up from massive 700 pound tires. The night was filled with several different sections of competition which were divided into Wheelies, ATV and Kart Racing, Donuts, and Freestyle in which I along with friends and other representatives from Motorhead Magazine would make the drivers work for high scores and give it their all.

While the men dominated in the Wheelies,

Donuts, and Freestyle, it seemed to be in the races that the women could hold their own. Cynthia Gauthier took the cake in smashing the throttle and setting her presence on the inside of the track during a showdown against almighty Grave Digger’s Cole Venard. The best performances were the Wheelies in which Max D’s Jared Eichelberger definitely held his own and wowed the audience with the most revolutions which thoroughly impressed our judge panel. Cole Venard however, would finish the evening’s championship by owning FreeStyle with the massive amounts of air he achieved in his jumps and holding ground with his fast spins.

All in all, Cole Venard became our Championship winner for the evening and dominated the entire weekend becoming the ultimate winner of the Eastern Region. It was quite the experience and we are looking forward to seeing more coming from this courageous band of monster truck drivers! Monster Jam will be available to watch at Gillette Stadium on June 25th, 2016. Tickets for 2017 are also on sale at www.monsterjam.com.

1970 Pontiac Lem By Frank Middleton Growing up I always had a passion for cars. From reading the collector car trader front to back, to waiting for the mailman to bring my hot rod magazine, or going for a rip in my father’s 57 Chevy wagon, my childhood was heavily influenced by cars. I used to dream that someday I would have a muscle car or hot rod to bang gears in and eventually it became a reality. When I was 14, I started working because I knew if I was to going to make my dream come true, I needed money. I saved up most of the money I made and started reading the Autotrader magazine, with my father, every week. My dream was to have a Chevelle or any full chassis car that was clean. After a few months, my father had a lead on an old 71 Chevelle that he had sold years before and on a 70 Pontiac Lemans we found through an advertisement. That weekend, my family and I went and checked out the Lemans and the Chevelle. The Lemans was a clean, running, one owner, 6 cylinder, powerglide with bucket seats. The Chevelle, on the other hand, was a complete basket case. After leaving the Chevelle my father said to me, “if you don’t buy that Lemans I’m 26| Motorhead Magazine - March 2016

buying it for your mother!”, so off we went back to the Lemans (remember this was almost 16 years ago we had no cell phones, gps or computers). The asking price was $2000, so we asked the man selling the car if he would take $1800, he said, “You have to ask my wife she is the owner”, so as you know, that was a yes. The next day after school, Halloween day to be exact, my father and I went and picked up the Lemans. I will never forget that ride. I officially owned a 1970 Pontiac Lemans. I had a few months before I was actually old enough to drive, so I picked up my father’s wrenches and went to work. We changed the alternator and water pump, detailed the engine, fabricated new transmission cooler lines and a few odds and ends. I was hooked! I sent the car off for a decent paint job, threw some 14” cragar ss wheels on, and I drove the heck out of that car. After a while I started realizing what’s the most fun you can have in a muscle car.... smoking the tires! Being good friends with Jim Conti and getting to know his father John Conti I knew they would be the ones to help me make this happen. I told John that the 6 cylinder had no power and that I need a v-8. John gave me a 350 4 bolt main block and let me build the engine at his

house. I bought the parts I needed, worked on the weekends for parts such as ported heads, and John and I went to the swap meets to find headers and an ignition. What a great feeling it was building my own v-8. Halfway through the build I got very sick and had to put everything on hold. It was such a blow to me, but looking forward to getting that engine together was one major reason to keep me going. Eventually the engine was finished and I put a th350 behind it with a real big stall and got the car running. A few days after graduating high school, I was finally able to drive the car. I still remember taking my dad for the first ride with open headers and a stall converter that flashed to 3500 rpms. I’m pretty sure the cops drove by after that.

After many years of testing parts, changing engines, transmissions, rear ends, wheel and brakes, I have finally arrived with the following combination. The drivetrain as it sits now is a 11:1 small block Chevy punched out to 388 cu.in. with ported 2.02 heads, forged internals, Holley 950 double pumper, Doug’s headers, 3” oval exhaust, connected to a Richmond 5 speed overdrive, ram clutch, aluminum driveshaft, full floating ford 9” with 3.90 gears. Brakes are 13” front wilwoods, 12” rear, all tubular control arms, custom sway bars, tall ball joints, custom springs, nascar steering box, Contis boxed chassis, custom crossmember, afco double adjustable shocks, 18x9.5 front rims with 275/35 tires, 18x10.5 rear rims with 295/35 tires and the list goes on. I would have to say that the way my car sits right now, I’m pretty happy. I started as a kid with a dream and through many years of hard work, patience, and will, I believe I have built the ultimate Lemans. This car has taught me how to repair almost anything on a vehicle, and has allowed me to experience drag racing and autocross. While the car will never be perfect, I will constantly look for ways to make it better and until I die, this car will be mine. There is something about taking a car that no one wanted and making it into something people want to have. Hope you enjoyed my story and don’t be afraid to build your own ride no matter how you do it!

At this point I decided I’m keeping this car for the long run and fixing it. I had a shop rebuild the front end, and while it was there they pointed out some rust and rot. I brought it to another shop that said they would restore the chassis, but it sat outside for 6 weeks without being touched. I gave John a call to tell him my situation and he told me to get it out of there, and bring it home or his shop. My father and I went and picked up the car and brought it to Contis. Contis did a frame off and all the rot and rust was gone, and the car was tight. Two years later, I was finally able to drive the car again. I started driving the car all the time and realized, this is nice, but it can be better. Once I realized how badly Lemans’ handle, I started researching online and reading Popular Hot Rodding on how to make it handle better. So I said to myself “I just paid to have all this work done, I have a perfectly clean lemans and I’m going to take it apart. What is wrong with me”. I would change suspension parts, take the car for a ride and assess the differences. After a year or two, I had the car slammed and hugging the road pretty well. I had the car repainted and new wheels were ordered. I was obsessed with having the baddest pro-touring Lemans around. At this point, the only thing missing was a stick. I was hanging with some friends one night having a few cold ones and I said “you know what guys I’m putting in a manual transmission”. At this point I had already been though a few th350’s and a gear vendors overdrive, so I went out and bought a Richmond 6 speed from a craigslist ad and converted the car in a few months, with lots of help from my father, Jim Conti and some close friends. That transmission broke 3 times before I sold it for parts and bought a 5 speed Richmond, which is what I have today. CALL 401-965-9012 TO ADVERTISE

recommend a conversion for a conventional timing set. Race cars owners usually don’t care about idle quality, emissions compliance, overall drivability, also have big stall converters and gears to compensate for low end torque loss.

Once or twice a month I get a call regarding doing a camshaft swap. Depending on the vehicle and customer goals, swapping out a cam is a pretty straight forward proven performance enhancement. What truly concerns me is that most people don’t really understand the dynamics of how camshafts work. They see and hear camshaft swaps on YouTube, but many have never driven in a car or truck with a big performance camshaft. The cars with the really big camshafts are only fun at wide open throttle above 3000 rpm. They will feel weak driving around below 2500rpm without the proper torque converter and gear swaps. Another big flaw of the internet is the lack of knowledge of GM VVT (Variable Valve Timing) systems that are employed on some of the modern Camaro, GM SUV’s/Pickups and the new C7 Corvette. It seems most people don’t understand the technology and eliminate VVT on these motors. The C7 Corvette seems to be the exception right now, since there isn’t a VVT elimination kit available. VVT for a street application will allow the camshaft designer to be able to offer high end horsepower with very little loss of low range torque.

Currently only Competition cams offers VVT cams for GM LS vehicles. Their catalog has I believe 4 cams listed mainly designed for the 6.0 / 6.2 liter motors and to work with the L92 / L99 cylinder heads. The camshafts require a special cam phaser limiter to reduce the cam movement from 52 degrees down to 22 degrees to maintain piston to valve clearance when the cams are advanced or retarded. The stock 2010 L99 Camaro camshaft specs are 195/201 .500/.492 117. This small camshaft which is also a DOD (Displacement on Demand) camshaft is relatively small for a 6.2 liter motor. There is huge potential with swapping in a more performance friendly cam. I do recommend eliminating DOD to get additional lift ground into the camshaft. A stock LS3 Camaro non VVT camshafts specs out at 204/211 .551/.525 117, which gains 26 HP over the L99 with a slight bump in the compression ratio of the motor. Competitions Cams biggest VVT grind listed for the L99 is 222/236 .566/.578 114, which in my opinion is relatively mild for a 6.2 liter motor. Competition Cams claimed a gain of 39 RWHP

The OEM utilizes this technology to gain better fuel economy, reduce emissions, and smoother idle quality. The aftermarket camshaft companies can use this technology to give the car enthusiast the best of both worlds. But these days, you have options. So instead, you slide your debit card and pay for your purchase at the pump. We’re living in an age when convenience is king, and it’s this kind of thinking that’s behind one of the latest automotive technologies. It’s called push-button keyless start, and as its name suggests, it allows you to fire up your car’s engine without the hassle of key insertion. It hasn’t hit the mainstream — yet — but for some car shoppers, keyless start is a must-have, offering convenience at its most cutting-edge.

EASY IN, EASY OUT Push-button keyless start couldn’t be simpler. The driver slides behind the wheel, with the key fob in her pocket, briefcase or purse. The car’s system recognizes the presence of the fob, and the driver needn’t remove it to wake up the engine. All she needs to do to get the motor running is depress the brake pedal, and push a button on the control panel. Shutting off the engine is just as hassle-free, and is accomplished by merely pressing the start/stop button. SAFE AND SOUND Keyless ignition systems contain safeguards to ensure that your car doesn’t spring to life at the wrong time. As a security measure, the brake pedal must be depressed with the shift lever in ‘Park’ for the engine to start. Additionally, the key fob must be in the vehicle to get the motor running. These systems are designed to deter theft and break-ins. The absence of a metal key makes life a lot harder for car thieves. Mercedes-Benz has the industry’s first fully electronic ignition key system, and there is no metal key that could be illegally copied and copies can only be made at an authorized Mercedes-Benz dealership. It’s nearly impossible to unlock the steering column or start the

Understanding Glow Plugs Lauryn “Hotwheels” Pontiac-Vernancio We have all heard about them, but do we really understand the function behind them? “They’re the same as spark plugs, aren’t they?” I have heard endless times while producing orders over the parts counter. Well, not quite. They are a whole different method of combustion used to start some heavier duty diesel engines that weren’t al-

ways around at your local Mom and Pop’s shops. Think of it this way, diesel is a way less volatile version of fuel than gasoline and it makes it a lot easier to start if the combustion chamber is preheated. This is why most manufacturers installed glow plugs that would work off of the battery to prewarm the air in the cylinders when you first start the engine. It is essentially a heating device whereas spark plugs deliver current from the ignition system to ignite the fuel/air mixture by actual electrical spark. The glow plug actually gets its name from the light that it emits when the heating element at the tip is electrified and heats up due to the electrical resistance. The injector will then spray onto the hot tip of the plug during Top Dead Center which will then let the fuel ignite even when the engine may not be a normal operat-

Diesel engines rely solely on compression to raise the temperature of the air to a point where the diesel will combust spontaneously when met with the hot high pressure air. The high pressure and spray pattern of

the top of its travel path, the temperature in the cylinder will become very high. The fuel mist is then sprayed into the cylinder where it instantly combusts and forces the piston downwards and

producing raw power.

The temperature at the top of the compression stroke depends upon many factors, one of the most is where the compression ratio of the cylinder and the starting temperature of the inducted air become determined. When the engine is cold, the temperature of the inducted air is low and it will receive very little heat from the engine cylinder walls. Additionally, as the air is compressed and becomes heated, some of the heat will be given up to the cold cylinder walls, further reducing the temperature at the top of the compression stroke. This problem is therefore ultimately solved by the glow plug. Under these cold conditions, the glow plug is activated to achieve a hotspot within the combustion chamber until the perfected temperature of the combustion chamber will further rise to the level required to support self-combustion.

For these reasons indirect injected diesel engines are manufactured with glow-plugs in each pre chamber, and direct injected diesel engines are manufactured with glow-plugs in each combustion chamber. Hopefully with this explanation most can understand the concept behind diesel and glow plug theory and why it is effective. Diesel systems are now running cleaner than ever and are producing a much more massive volume across the boards in formulation. We anticipate seeing more diesel engines at this year’s car, truck, and boat shows across the grid.

It was at an event called Ultimate Mustang Challenge, hosted by SmokinStangs.com, that I first got a really close look at the 2012 Boss 302 of Jonathan James Roberts. This event mixed Autocross, Drag Racing, and a “Show and Shine” event together in the

school instructor from 2006-2009 during which time he went on an IA tour to Afghanistan. It was during this time that he received a commendation medal for helping install communication stations in police stations in Kabul. After that Jonathan served aboard the USS Pittsburgh from 2009-2015. During this time he was promoted to Chief Electronics Technician. From 2015-Present he has been serving at STSC Submarine Tech and Support Center. Outside of his impressive military resume, Jonathan is also a husband to his beautiful wife Jennifer and the two welcomed a son, Jameson on May 14th 2014. There’s no doubt that little Jameson is growing up fast and he’s going to be ripping it up in the Boss 302 before we know it. Speaking of the Boss 302, the car itself started as a limited production model from Ford, with a handful of intake, exhaust, and suspension upgrades that already put it a couple steps ahead of a regular Mustang GT and a few car lengths ahead of those pesky Camaros. From there Jonathan was constantly tinkering with the car and as it sits today, he has created a pretty potent combination of go-fast goodies. Just a simple walk around the car will show you the visual upgrades that include a Tiger Racing hood, Laguna Seca spoiler, Laguna Seca wheels, and billet grille. With the turn of the key the exhaust upgrades make themselves known with a vicious growl that originates at a set of Kooks long tube headers, through high flow cats, and out a set of FlowMaster mufflers.

Under the hood, a few common bolt-on items originally made a noticeable increase in power, but nothing like the current set-up that includes a Procharger F1C and water/meth injection. A VMP boost a pump and id1000 injectors help handle the thirst quenching chores and final tuning by DEZ Racing makes sure everything is safe but VERY EFFECTIVE!! Additional drivetrain upgrades consist of a Mcleod RXT clutch, MGW shifter, and one-piece driveshaft. In a straight line, this car absolutely screams, but to be the ULTIMATE MUSTANG CHALLENGE CHAMPION, you have to be able to carve corners as well. Suspension was addressed up front with a full BMR kit that included a tubular k-member, lower control arms, radiator support and lightweight bumper support. In the rear, an adjustable panhard bar and upper and lower control arms keep Jonathan planted. To help stiffen the chassis but of course keep him safe, Jonathan added a roll cage to the Boss, which also keeps him legal when the car runs quicker than 11.49 at New England Dragway. Jonathan had a couple people that he repeatedly thanked during our conversation. DEZ Racing, he said, “…was key in providing valuable advice for upgrades and parts. They were also a huge help during the times I was deployed”. He also thanks Juggernaut Power who is his newest sponsor. What is it about watching a cool badass muscle car, or hot rod, on the big screen that makes us so excited? With the winter season upon us I am sure that a lot you reading this article will be watching plenty of these types of movies in your own homes until the car show season begins and then you live it, instead of watch it.

For me personally, it’s the chase. “I love The Chase!” When the good guy and the bad guy jump into their respective cars and trucks, and even hop

on motorcycles for that matter, my blood begins pumping real fast. They fire up their power plant vehicles and take off at a high rate of speed and my skin begins to sweat and my heart pumps faster. It’s called (Adrenaline). Our body reacts to the action happening on the screen in front of us and it kicks into high gear. Is it that simple though? Is it simply a mechanism in our bodies that influences our actions, or reactions to what our eyes are watching?

I will never get tired of watching car movies and the movies with cool cars featured in them. You may have noticed that I did not include the movie franchise for the Fast And The Furious movies in my top ten favorite car movies. It’s not that I didn’t like those movies, it’s just that I really like the older car movies with more of a nostalgia theme to their films. Not taking away anything from the Fast franchise, its just my perspective and view on car movies for car guys. There are plenty of car movies I love to watch but they all can’t be in the top ten listings. I am sure that you feel the same way about your favorites. I guess we will never really know, or understand, the why’s, who’s and what’s about the reasons why we love car movies, we just know that we do love them. Call it adrenaline, I call it something else. I do know that my excitement is evident and I feel like I am on cloud nine watching car chases on movies and I hope that the passion for them never fades away. I don’t expect that to happen anytime soon. In fact, the images that you see along with this article are Car Movie Art Prints that I have recently created for Car Shows and Cruise Nights across the region this cruisin’ season. There are those that could care less about fast cars, big trucks and quick motorcycles. I don’t personally know anyone that thinks like that, but they must be out there, right? If they are out there, they are definitely out there, and don’t hang around with this author, writer and artist. I KNOW, that they are not reading this article either. You have to be a car guy in order to be interested in this subject matter to begin with. I keep company with people who like and love pretty much the same things that I like and love... and that includes Car Movies! I like it all in those types of movies. The shiny paint jobs, the flat color paint jobs. The loud exhaust and screeching tires. The chase. I love the chase! Watching to see who is going to out drive who. Which one of the vehicles is the fastest. Who survives and who crashes and burns. All legitimate reasons to watch and love car guy movies. We all have our reasons, but I am a writer for car magazines so you can read what my reasons are while I guess what your reasons are for liking, or loving, these types of movies in the first place. The truth of the matter is, that we are all car, truck and motorcycle guys at heart. That’s why you are reading this article. If I were to select my favorite car movies in the top ten column they would probably fall in this order, but not absolutely in this order. I might change my mind tomorrow and then one of the car movie line
