MINDAUGAS SKRUPSKELIS
This issue of my portfolio set is dedicated to my very basic background as an artist. It all started at the Panevėžys Fine Art School. The main goal of the school is to be a part of a creative personality development, while seeking to format a harmony between the fine arts skills and personal value system. The school employs 15 art teachers. Most of them are members of the Lithuanian Artists Union. The main subjects are drawing, painting, sculpture, composition and art science. Each year, the school has approximately 500 students. Annually, the school arranges about 20 exhibitions of students’ works, develops itself and takes part in various projects. Starting from the 3rd year, students may choose one of the elective subjects out of painting, drawing, ceramics, sculpture, textile, design and graphics. I did focus on sculpture here. www.dailioske.lt
Worms Composition of organic forms plays drama of natural battle between animals. One figure is masterful and made of rough surfaced material, another is smooth and acts as submissive. Figures are made of naturally disintegrating materials and may be easily transported/rearranged.
