DIVISION WINNERS

FROM THE COMMITTEE Hi all, Thanks to all senior team players for what we hope has been a most enjoyable season and as we move into the summer break (or summer season for those still playing) I hope you can look back on the competition and camaraderie with fond memories. With the season coming to a close we can look back on a successful season with both our men’s and women’s premiership teams retaining their place in the division. A great result which reflects the effort to all the players, coaching and support staff. We look forward to further success in 2016! We also enjoyed success across the divisions with a number of Springs senior teams winning their leagues. To those who could attend the senior prize giving and celebrate with the award winner a big thanks for what was a good night. If noise is any indicator it was a great success.

U PDATE

Interest has been strong for the Thursday night Business House 7-a-side competition starting 22nd October. The league looks to be settling at 2 x Mixed and 1 x Men’s division. While spaces are filling fast there are a couple of vacancies left so any interested parties should contact Warwick Hooper ooper@lionco.com or k.h wic war Paul Blanchard urgently should you wish to enter.

Warwick Hooper: 027 445 3538 Paul Blanchard: 027 703 1529

Also a thanks to the Evergreens for their successful running the over 40’s tournament. By all accounts a great day! With summer just around the corner we have our internal 11-a-side Saturday competition and a Thursday night Business House 7-a-side league (spaces still available if interested) for those interested keen to maintain some fitness. All the best for summer and I hope those injuries heal quickly. Cheers The Senior Committee

OUR GOLD SPONSOR JEREMY SUTTON SHARES HIS HIGHLIGHTS OF THE SEASON Hi everyone, Well the last few games have been just fantastic. The kids are really playing as a team and have all developed so much over the season. Well done 8th grade Turtles! Noah has been working on his left foot and has had a few coaching sessions with Sam Burfoot. The focus of one-on-one coaching really produces results, particularly when it’s with one of the heroes of the club! Sam has a fun laid-back style which the kids can relate to. Noah loved the drills and scoring goals against Sam at the end of each session. I highly recommend it. I’ve been down to watch the First Team a few times. Good to see they’re always well

supported, and there’s a great atmosphere at the games. All in all, we’ve really enjoyed the season and getting to know more club members. A big thanks to all the volunteers who give so much of their time, in particular to our awesome coach Paul and manager Helen, who have done a brilliant job for the Turtles and made this a fun season for our team. I hope you’ve had a great season too. Enjoy this warm weather and we’ll see you at summer soccer.

Cheers Jeremy
