9th and 10th GRADE INHOUSE AWARDS MOST IMPROVED FEMALE PLAYER Awarded to ALBA ERIKSON EVERTON Alba plays every week and is always happy to play in any position for the benefit of the team. She has developed her skills throughout the season and in particular enjoys tackling. Most importantly, Alba always plays with a smile on her face!

MOST IMPROVED MALE PLAYER Awarded to HARRY SOUTHGATE RIVER

Harry has improved in every training session and every game. He has grown more confident and stronger as the season has progressed. Of all the players, it is Harry who has made those little touches of magic that makes his coaches go wow. He has genuine skill and is lovely to watch when on the ball. It also helps that he does it all with a big smile on his face!

MOST PROMISING DEFENDER Awarded to MAX SUTTON RIVER Max is a wonderful defender, he has a perfect balance of being able to tackle and play the ball out from defence. He is fearless and puts his body on the line to stop a goal. He has a lovely pass and makes good decisions, knowing when to play short passes or make longer clearances.

9th and 10th GRADE INHOUSE AWARDS MOST PROMISING MIDFIELDER Awarded to ALEX WILL THUNDER Alex shows a great ability to go past the opposition players. He uses his pace and great touch to take on defenders, scores goals and sets up chances for the team. Alex’s decision making is exceptional for his age. He is also always willing to get back and help the defence and show he is true team play.

MOST PROMISING ATTACKER Awarded to GABRIEL CHRISTENSEN CROCODILES 10th Gabriel is an extremely determined attacker and possesses super control. He uses his range of skills to great effect, taking on defenders and finishing with power. He’s an important team player.

BEST DEFENDER Awarded to TED COOP ELECTRIC EELS Ted is a tall, strong and athletic player, who reads the game really well. He has contributed to the strongest defensive record in the top division. To top it off he has also scored 6 headers direct from corners this season.

9th and 10th GRADE INHOUSE AWARDS BEST MIDFIELDER Awarded to JACK DODUNSKI ELECTRIC EELS Jack is super quick and uses his explosive pace and fantastic balance to get past defenders. He passes the ball well and works hard for the team. He has been involved in the build up to many goals and has also been the scorer of many spectacular goals this season.

BEST ATTACKER Awarded to LUCA MILLER CHELSEA Luca is very composed on the ball and has the skill set to see passes and execute them accurately, and this has led to a high percentage of assists. His attacking threat is clear as he has scored over 20 goals this year and with good technique many have come from long range, including free kicks.

MOST VALUABLE FEMALE PLAYER Awarded to HANNAH MCMANUS ATLETICO Hannah has always been a strong player but she has really developed over the second half of the year into a strong and intelligent midfielder. She runs hard and creates space and opportunities for her team mates. Hannah is a tenacious tackler and shows composure in possession. MOST VALUABLE MALE PLAYER Awarded to MITCHELL WATT KINGFISHERS Mitchell’s attitude of playing in any position required to help the team is second to none. He has quick feet and is a fantastic finisher who scored close to half of the team goals this season. As a striker he also defends from the front. He is just as skillful in goal and many coaches have commented on his all round skills and potential. It’s been a pleasure to coach him!

MOST PROMISING GOALKEEPER Awarded to CHARLOTTE ALLAN FIORENTINA Charlotte has really developed her goalkeeping skills and is not afraid to dive in amongst the boots at the feet of attackers - very brave indeed! She has made valuable saves in each game in goal, is confident taking goal kicks and organises the team with her super communication skills! Charlotte is fiercely competitive and has also made vital contributions as an outfield player.

MOST PROMISING DEFENDER Awarded to BOH CURRAN FIORENTINA Boh’s ability to anticipate shots and make timely challenges and blocks has been of huge value to the team. Her determination to break down the opposition attacks has been impressive. She has developed her skills in possession and regularly begins our attacks making Boh an invaluable part of the team’s defence. MOST PROMISING MIDFIELDER Awarded to MAEVE POPE FIORENTINA Maeve has stood out in Fiorentina for her improvement in midfield where her defending strength and attacking flair have been invaluable. Maeve has shown great skill on the ball, she’s not afraid to move forward confidently with the ball while looking for passing opportunities. An exciting 2018 awaits for Maeve!

MOST PROMISING ATTACKER Awarded to MAIA WIJOHN FIORENTINA Maia has great footballing instincts and is developing her skills on the ball. She scans the pitch looking for passing options, positions herself to receive passes from team mates and has scored some valuable goals for the team because of her intelligent positioning. More goals will follow next season!

BEST GOALKEEPER Awarded to KARISA SOUTHON TORINO Karisa’s goal kicking is legendary in 10th Grade - she’s almost scored from goal kicks! Her goalkeeping has been consistent and solid throughout the season, having made many crucial saves against dangerous opponents. While Karisa has also been a valuable player away from goal, she has shone whenever she plays in goal! BEST DEFENDER Awarded to EMMA CRISCILLO FIORENTINA Emma has been a valuable team player, showing great skills both in goal and as an outfield player. She has been a dependable, highly effective and enthusiastic performer all season. Emma has grown in confidence and developed her understanding of the game, as a valued defender, recognising danger and making vital interceptions. An exciting 2018 awaits for Emma!

BEST MIDFIELDER Awarded to NINA MCFARLAND FIORENTINA Nina is the engine room of the Fiorentina team. She reads the game well, both in and out of possession, and shows this by breaking up attacking play with intelligent positioning and fearless tackling. Nina is calm on the ball and consistently demonstrates a range of accurate passing. We look forward to watching Nina continue her development in 2018!

BEST ATTACKER Awarded to LUCIJA SIMONS FIORENTINA Lucija has the ability to consistently beat players with her confident, skillful wing play. She takes on players at speed and is often at the heart of our most promising attacks. Lucija plays the game with high intensity and also shows vision and creativity. MOST IMPROVED PLAYER Awarded to LILY CUTTRISS TORINO The improvement in Lily’s play throughout the season has been impressive to see! She has developed more confidence in possession, taking on players much bigger than her and taking opportunities to have shots on goal. It’s only a matter of time before you get that goal and well done on a successful first season! Great things ahead next season.

MOST VALUABLE PLAYER Awarded to CHARLI DUNN REBELS

Charli consistently performs at a high level in AFF 10th Grade Premier Division mixed football and is the only girl playing at this level in Auckland. She has shown maturity, strength and skill throughout the season; her defensive skills in 1v1 situations and decision making in possession are super. Charli has also stepped up into our 11th and 12th grade girls teams performing impressively. One to watch!

MOST PROMISING GOALKEEPER Awarded to SEBASTIAN BOND BRAVA Whilst Seb has had a great all-round season for Brava, and has developed a real passion for goalkeeping. Focused and committed, he has put in some excellent displays, showing good technique and making some great reflex saves. A goalkeeper to watch in 2018!

MOST PROMISING DEFENDER Awarded to JACK ERIKSON REBELS Passion and commitment in abundance, Jack covers every blade of grass and competes for every ball not giving opponents time on the ball. He has also added composure to his game over the course of the season. 2018 promises to be a big year for Jack!

MOST PROMISING MIDFIELDER Awarded to JACK PIJNENBURG REBELS Jack’s technique is outstanding. As the season has progressed he has added a much sharper competitive edge to his game. BEST GOALKEEPER Awarded to LUCCA STREDDER KAHA Lucca possesses great reflexes and with strong wrists is a super shot stopper. He also often starts our attacks off with clever decision making with his passing to team mates. Lucca is also an exceptional outfield player and makes great contributions higher up the pitch also.

BEST DEFENDER Awarded to ISIKELI BROWN KAHA Isikeli is an absolute rock in defence, leading by example and always anticipating danger. One of his best attributes is his ability to play the ball intelligently out from the back once he’s nicked it. He’s one to watch in 2018!

BEST MIDFIELDER Awarded to ENZO COLLIE REBELS Calm and comfortable in possession, Enzo makes space for himself with an excellent first touch, and has an eye for the killer pass. This year, he has also been highly competitive out of possession, hunting the ball down.

BEST ATTACKER Awarded to CALLUM RAE REBELS Callum is tenacious, never giving the opposition defence a break. He leads the line exceptionally and has added the ability to hold the ball up to his game as the season has progressed. Callum’s appetite for goals has made him a clear threat to opponents and an exciting 2018 awaits!

MOST IMPROVED PLAYER Awarded to TOBY BONETTI MANA Toby is a great team player with an eye for goal. He has excellent ball control that allows him to dribble through teams and his awareness enables him to make the correct decisions while under pressure. Toby is definetely a player to look out for next season!
