With its logo ‘Positively Promoting the Caribbean’ the event aims to raise awareness of issues relating to the Caribbean people in the UK and the wider Diaspora by inspiring, informing and uniting both those taking part and the UK audience. Organisers Clayton and Jacqui Brown aim to use pageantry to unify, inspire, educate, entertain and celebrate the historical and cultural impact of the Caribbean with the United Kingdom. They state that, “MCUK is more than simply a beauty competition, our winner will be an ambassador for this culturally rich and beautiful part of the world
