After Dr. Mark chased out the evil germ Fubus, Tom was cured. He had a very happy life. Every morning and every evening Tom greeted the two sisters Toothbrush and Toothpaste. The sisters brushed and polished him until he was clean and shiny. In his free time, Tom would go for walks and play with the other teeth. He went to school and got good grades. Everything was going splendidly until one day, on Tom’s birthday, he was given a whole bag of sweet, tasty candies.
Tom had one candy and he liked it very much. He had another, and then more and more and more. He didn’t even notice, but soon he had eaten them all! Tom had started turning into a sweet tooth. “I want more candles!” cried Tom. “This isn’t enough! Give me more sweets!” But no one gave him more sweets. The birthday party was over and all the guests had already left.
Tom decided to go and look for sweets himself. First he went to his Uncle Wisdom Tooth’s house. His uncle was old and wise, and he always had something good in his pantry. Tom hid in the bushes and waited for his uncle to go to work. Uncle Wisdom Tooth was not in a hurry. Tom waited and waited and waited. Finally, his uncle got into his pickup truck and left.Â
“Now’s my chance!” yelled Tom. “There’s nobody home now!” Tom knew that his uncle was sure to have a big pantry with lots of goodies. He found an open window and crawled into the house. The pantry was big and full of all sorts of food - but there was nothing sweet there. There were only vegetables, fruits and nuts. There were some beans and even a few hot dogs.
