Letter from the President Dear Missouri Athletic Club Members and Guests, Welcome to this special night at the Missouri Athletic Club! Club spirit and camaraderie will be on full display at tonight’s Foundations’ Gala. It’s an opportunity to get dressed up, mix and mingle with hundreds of your closest friends, dine on a variety of delicious food and enjoy specialty beverages. Tonight is not simply a great party. It is also an opportunity to show your support of the MAC’s three foundations with a tax deductible contribution while taking home a memorable item. Inside this program you will find details highlighting all of the available auction items. Take a chance by bidding on many of these great items. The three foundations are key components for continued success of the MAC into the future. I believe educating our membership on these foundations and the opportunities they create is crucial. Steps are already being taken to develop a plan that will further enhance our foundations and leverage the combined success that all three can produce. A big “thank you” to the auction sponsors and to the many members and friends of the Club who donated a spectacular lineup of items. We are pleased to have the best auctioneer in town, Past President Kim Tucci. Also, a special thanks to Governor Troy Robertson and the entire Auction Committee plus the staff who all pulled together to ensure that this event is a big success. Thank you for being a part of tonight’s event and for showing your support of this important Club initiative. I hope you have a great time and walk away with some special treasures!

Tax Information 2015 GALA DINNER & AUCTION

1. This event is being conducted for the benefit the MAC Preservation Foundation, the MAC Sports Foundation and the MAC Foundation for the Arts, all of which are 501(c)(3) entities. 2. The successful bidder on each item will be mailed a tax-receipt letter, which indicates the amount of the successful bid, the MAC’s good faith estimate of the value of the item, and the amount, if any, which will be contributed on the successful bidder’s behalf to the MAC foundations mentioned above. 3. If the amount of the successful bid exceeds the good faith estimate of the value of the item, then the excess amount will be contributed on the successful bidder’s behalf to the MAC foundations as a charitable contribution. 4. If the amount of the successful bid does not exceed the good faith estimate of the value of the item, then nothing will be contributed to the MAC foundations on behalf of the successful bidder and there will be no charitable contribution for income tax purposes. 5. The fair market value of the dinner, beverages and other services provided during the event has been estimated to be approximately $125; therefore, $25 of the $150 ticket price will be deemed to be a tax-deductible contribution to the three MAC foundations.

What Others are Saying ABOUT THE FOUNDATIONS’ GALA

“These three foundations are key components in the future for continued success at the MAC. I believe educating our membership on these foundations and the opportunities from them is crucial. Steps are already being taken to develop a plan that will further enhance our foundations and the combined success that all three can have working together.” – President Dean Eggerding “The foundations are important but underutilized assets of the Club that can play a key role in maintaining our long-term financial stability. In addition to throwing a fabulous party for our members, our goal with the Gala is to raise awareness of the purpose and function of the three foundations and the benefits to our members of contributing to them.” – Governor Greg Beekman, Chairman of the MAC Sports Foundation “Our Downtown Clubhouse represents the historical and symbolic home of the Missouri Athletic Club. At the same time, it also speaks to our future. By supporting the MAC Preservation Foundation, we can help to ensure a vibrant and sustainable Downtown Clubhouse that will celebrate our heritage while serving the current and next generation of MAC membership.” – Steve Krause, Chairman of the MAC Preservation Foundation “The MAC Foundation for the Arts currently has two purposes: namely the enhancement of the visual experience of participation in activities within the Clubhouses and the preservation of the Club’s art collection. That collection, in addition to our sports heritage in the city, signifies to those who enter our facilities that the Club is a meaningful and significant St. Louis institution.” – Paul Weil, Chairman of the MAC Foundation for the Arts “I’m excited to have everyone together for one night, working towards the same goal: supporting the MAC and our foundations. It’s an opportunity to be with friends and the one you love. That’s what our Club is all about.” – Governor Troy Robertson, Foundations’ Gala Chairman
